NurulzzhThe location was excellent and made it very easy to explore Brisbane, with convenient access to the CBD, South Bank, dining options, and public transport. The rooms have good views of the city.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but what stood out most was the service from their team. The receptionist especially was friendly and welcoming, and we appreciated the assistance with storing our luggage and providing umbrellas during the rainy weather.
These thoughtful touches made our stay even more enjoyable.

Guest UserThis place is considered very good for an overseas destination, highly recommended. The surrounding environment is excellent, but there aren't many dining options.

SarahH16Great location was great but the hotel is looking very old. Had to wait about 10 minutes to get serviced. Only 1 person on front desk. No valet parking or assistance with luggage. No clear signs for lift. Once out of lift to find room which direct was so small I missed it. Bathroom was huge with a lovely bath. Only problem is the toilet is in bathroom so if someone is using the toilet you can't use bathroom. No robes available and rooms were cleaned after lunch so after being out all day coming back to hotel beds not made or towels replaced. I know these are little things but we paid top dollar to stay there so expect 5 star quality. Will not stay there again. Much better modern offers out there.

eee999The location is pretty good; it's within walking distance to the Central Station, although the uphill walk might be a bit tiring with heavy luggage. The front desk service was excellent, and the Hong Kong gentleman who helped us made communication very smooth. We stayed in an accessible twin room, which was quite spacious, but the showerhead in the bathroom was old and had tape wrapped around a damaged connection. Since we had an early flight the next morning and couldn't make breakfast, the front desk kindly provided us with packed milk and cereal. Overall, it offers good value for money!

My Worst Experience at a W Hotel to Date
I have stayed at various W properties, but my recent one-night stay at W Brisbane was easily my most disappointing experience with the brand. For a hotel that prides itself on design and luxury, the functional execution of the room was severely lacking.
There were several significant issues that made for a very uncomfortable night:
Poor Room Design: The air conditioning is positioned in a way that it blew directly onto my face all night. It was impossible to deflect, and I had to sleep on the other end of the bed. Then I had another issue below.
Disruptive Noise: The in-room refrigerator was close the the bed and making distracting noises throughout the night that made it difficult to sleep.
Between the mechanical noise and the poorly placed AC, I barely got any rest.
Maintenance & Cleanliness: after I woke up in the morning, I was shocked to find a visible hole in the bed sheets. This is not the level of quality control one expects from a five-star establishment. And the bath tub has visible torn and wears. Also the motel level toothbrush.
Service: there was no staff at the door helped me and my 70 yo mom with our luggages. I hvae to acknowledge that we arrived quite late but I did expect quality service from a lux hotel. And also no free upgrade offered like my stays with other W.
Honestly, I am just glad my stay was only for one night. I expected much better from the W brand and won't be rushing back to this particular location.

Stevie BBFirst time I've stayed here. I was aware of the mixed reviews & I've stayed at other hotels in Chermie but they were booked out on this occasion. It was raining heavily when I arrived so appreciated the undercover parking spaces immediately outside the reception. Check-in was seamless (thx Trip.com) & they didn't require a security deposit or CC scan so my customer trust box was ticked :-) The car park is secure & at ground level but spaces are limited; I was able to find a spot though at 4pm. There is public parking out on the street without restriction after 5pm. I had a Hotel Queen Room on the 2nd floor. Easy access via lift and the common areas were clean & well lit. The room and bathroom were clean with a pleasant aroma & no smell of mould (reported by others), air-con was on. I had a choice of two sliding doors to access the balcony so good for fresh air (but no insect screen). Overall, the room was comfortable whilst showing some signs of wear & tear. The shower had a choice of either hand-held or fixed head (rainforest type) & had plenty of pressure - great. I would recommend bringing your own toiletries, unless you're happy with generic multi-function liquid soap! The fridge was empty except for a small uht milk with no complimentary springwater or mini-bar that you might find in other hotels. There was TV, tea/coffee making supplies and a small microwave. If you like to sleep in complete darkness (like me), bring an eye-mask as the hallway lighting outside the room is bright & on all night, creating an aura around the front door that is hard not to notice. The area was relatively quiet with the hotel located on a side street. It's an easy & short walk to a major shopping centre and the bus station if you need to head into Briz City, which is a 20-30min ride away & only $0.50 fare - awesome. Breakfast (from 7am) was also included but I had to head-off early so wasn't able to grab a bite this time. In summary, I felt that the room rate was appropriate and score my overall experience as good.

Guest UserAlthough I received my booking confirmation from a third party, somehow I missed important check-in information from the hotel which is keyless and has no onsite reception. Through the kindness of strangers, we were able to get into the foyer where there was a number to contact. It’s advertised as a 24hr reception but it’s important guests know it’s a remote reception. Once I got onto the receptionist, he was able to send me the important message with the check-in information. As we were heading out for dinner we were able to assist another couple who were experiencing the same problem.
Overall, it was a good stopover. We had a good night’s rest in a comfy bed, however, there were no bedside lamps for reading and the one wall lamp near the bed didn’t work. The shower was hot and the location is excellent for access to a variety of great restaurants.

Due to slow drainage in the bathroom that wasn't fixed, the hotel moved us to an upstairs room. It was a huge improvement from the previous one; the room and bathroom were spacious and clean, both with large windows that opened, offering a great view.
