Effective April 1, 2026, India has mandated a digital e-Arrival Card for all foreign travelers and OCI cardholders to replace paper forms, requiring submission via the Su-Swagatam portal 72 hours before arrival.
From April 1, 2026, all passengers, including OCI holders, will be required to complete a digital e-Arrival Card through the official Bureau of Immigration website or the Su-Swagatam app.
After submission, a QR code will be generated, which must be presented upon arrival for entry processing.
OCI Application Changes
As of April 1, 2026, OCI applications are no longer accepted via postal submission.
Instead, applicants are required to apply in person at designated VFS Centres for processing.
E-Tourist Visa Expansion
