We booked a 5 day holiday in rhodes town, which included, flights, transfers and accommodation at the City Plus Hotel We knew it was a 2star and thats fine , we loved the location and surrounding area Bering in mind its only a 2 Star and we were very pleased with the room , comfortable beds ,not soft , quite firm , perfect Breakfast was not included, so that was extra €9 and have to say it was Lovely, something for everyone, even bacon eggs and sausage The jewel in the crown are the staff A family run establishment and we arrived as guests but left as friends Especially Jannis and Thassos Thank you so very much for making our little holiday , a wonderful experience and we will definitely return Paul an Dave

Lovely hotel that is very central in Fira. We stayed on the hotel side of Antonia and loved the decor of the room. We appreciated that they had shutters outside to help keep the noise and light of the room. The room was nicely appointed with many lights and we enjoyed the decor. The bed and pillows were very comfy and we appreciated that there was a coffee/tea station and a mini fridge in the room. The room was large enough for the two of us and there was a nice small balcony outside with a small table and two chairs. The bathroom shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. The bed only had one sheet on it but there was a comforter and the temperature was easy to control. There was slippers available in the room which were good for the cold washroom floor. The hotel rooms have smart TVs that are easy to connect to for Disney+ or Netflix but you have to install an application if you'd like to screencast. The hotel has some nice common areas to hang out including two pool areas and a space by reception. The pools were closed when we came in March but it was also a little cool so we did not mind. They should be cleaned and ready to go by the summer. We really enjoyed the space by reception where there are lots of seats and benches to sit and hang out with other guests, or in our case the rest of our family. Anytime you are in the common area the staff will offer to make you a coffee or tea which was very nice of them. The staff are sincere and welcoming. Once we checked in they asked if we had some time or if we would want to go directly to our rooms. We said we would have time and they brought out a map of Santorini and marked down the places we could check out during our stay. The hotel also offers a good tour of the island for 40 Euros per person which includes 7 stops including Oia, red sand beach, a black sand beach and the monestary. We had 5 people in our group and did our own tour using a car rental company nearby but would consider the hotel's tour if we were just a couple. The hotel staff were helpful and responsive even before we came - they assisted us with a booking error I had made and we resolved it quickly over the phone and a short email. Transport to/from the hotel from the airport is easy because there is a bus station nearby and it costs 2 euros per person and the bus station is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The bus wasn't running too frequently during our stay on Santorini and if that is the case during your stay you can book the hotel's shuttle service - they have a large comfy van and charge 7 Euros per person. The alternative is a taxi and you are at the will of the driver for the ~10 minute drive and could be charged 40-50 from what we hear. The hotel does not offer breakfast or room service but there are many good restaurants nearby. The hotel recommended a few that were within a five minute walk of the hotel and the one we tried was lovely. There is a grocery store about 100 m from the hotel that has pretty much everything and there's a bakery near the Fira Main Square. Souvenirs can also be bought at the Fira Main Square and they probably have the best prices we saw in Santorini for souvenirs! Overall, it was a great stay and because we stayed in March we got an awesome price. The room we had was nice, quiet and comfy during our stay.

The location is conveniently located near the downtown area. You will need to climb the stairs, so be careful if you are carrying a suitcase. There was no hot water, and the room smelled of cigarettes (maybe smoke came in through the window). There are no amenities such as water or cotton, but considering the location and price, it is reasonable.

We didn't find any of the 'complimentary' toiletries which they advertise although we had a lovely but empty liquid soap dispenser! The shower is really good and would be better if the shower screen had been bigger. They do supply a squeegee for you to remove all the water that sprays all over the bathroom floor. The shower has a fixed head and can't be adjusted and there is a switchable hand shower head for squirting your 'bits'. A good hair dryer is provided. The biggest deal-breaker for us was that in no way was it a fully equipped self-catering apartment. There is NO KETTLE, NO TOASTER and very little of anything else in the way of kitchen equipment. A coffee peculator is provided which is useless (and I stress useless) for making tea. If you want to self-cater, the very reason we booked this hotel, don't bother booking here. You will be very disappointed. If you want to eat out there are many very good restaurants within very short walking distance. You'll be lucky to get breakfast before 10:30 AM though. If you are a light sleeper then think about what it would be like sleeping within one meter of your fridge compressor turning on and off all night long. The balcony is far from private and ours had only a view of an orange tree which was sprayed with chemicals (I assume) every couple of days! It was right next to the walkway to all the other apartments which is great if you want to meet everyone while you're trying to eat your boiled egg and no toast breakfast washed down with lukewarm tea! All in all we had a great time in Rhodes and this hotel could so easily be made to be perfect but sadly I really think they are more interested in taking money than providing a comfortable self-catering holiday experience. Still gave them an above average score though for all the good reasons stated above but we won't be staying there again for all the many bad reasons. Be sure to check out the Royal bar just round the corner. The food is wonderful, the owner and staff are fantastic and the prices reasonable. A bit further on is the San Allotte restaurant which is equally good (maybe better) but more expensive.

The hotel is situated in the centre of the new town area close to harbour and lots restaurants and bars. It is within easy walking distance of bus station and rhodes old town. The room are basic but nice. Its a family run hotel and the father manager made us feel welcome. The breakfast is basic but then the price for hotel is cheap. I was more than happy with everything about hotel. Downside is street noise but is is situated in busy area. For the money paid its well worth it and I would not think twice about returning. If you are looking for cheap hotel with basic breakfast located close to everything then check out price.

Stayed at the hotel 23rd December 2023 to January 3rd 2024. The booking was for hotel & breakfast. On questioning the receptionists twice regarding breakfast was told breakfast not served during winter months. Only receptionists & cleaners working. The receptionists did not advise that the breakfast costs were diverted to elswhere so went out for breakfast, That was over 12 days so no alternative offered. The Bed was comfy but the accomodation was basic. The room was not cleaned on 5 days during the stay. The fridge was empty, not even water in the fridge. If we wanted drinks, there was at least one fridge in the reception area that had water, bear & soft drinks that had to be paid for. we were on a budget but not so tight that we could not afford to have breakfast outside the hotel but had we have been on a tight budget the extra cost could have ruined the holiday. . The wardrobe had carrier bags left over from a previous occupant & in one drawer & a few disposable razors from a large pack in another drawer presumably from a previous occupant. Having spoken to Tripadvisor, they state the the hotel diverted the breakfast cost to an alternative option but we were not advised of the same & the hotel refuses to compensate for the additional cost of having to get breakfast outside the hotel. No compensation offered other than the one night we did not stay due to the late arrival of a connecting flight from Frankfurt to Rhodes. We spent over 250 euros eating breakfast outside the hotel due to the Parthenon not offering breakfast. I do not recommend this hotel other than to say the receptionists were polite but not informative about the stay. There were others staying at the hotel who may have had similar experiences. Th booking contained false advertising in stating hotel & breakfast but did not vocalise any alternative. That is money taken for services not offered. If you are looking to stay in Rhodes. try other hotels that may honour what is advertised. Rich & Judy Hinds.

Moschos Hotel is located right by the beach and has been renovated in 2020/2021. The hotel is family owned and the owners were super welcoming and friendly. During the booking process you will easily see which rooms have already been renovated. We booked the Superior Room we featured a large terrace with view over the ocean. The room was newly renovated and very clean. Bed was very comfortable and the area was quiet. Walking distance to the beach was 1 minute, with the hotel also offering a nice pool. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance and you can also do a few hikes without needing a car (eg up to the close by monastery). Cab from the airport took 20 minutes and was 30 Euros with tip. We can definitely recommend this place!

Cheap, very good location (just near to the Fira Bus Station), friendly staff. I could leave my luggage before check in time, even after checking out! I spent a night here, met some nice travelers, unfortunately they played music loudly until almost midnight. But it's okay as they stopped right at midnight so I could sleep well eventually. Overall, the hostel was good, although the room was kinda old (also the air cond, but it worked well). For me, it was just worth the price.

A really cool hostel we really enjoyed staying at. We actually came here on holiday as students (22 and 21) and stayed in the girls only room. We loved the location and the beds were perfect - so comfy and had good blinds to be private from the other room mates. We did come in quite late one night after drinking so did get told off by the other girls in the room which soured the tone slightly. I don’t believe we were being overly noisy but I gathered that they are maybe on quite long backpacking trips as opposed to a fun girls holiday so maybe something to bear in mind depending on what you are planning to do in Santorini! But really good value for money and a great stay in our favourite island on our trip. The affiliate pool at Katsaboo was a nice surprise too as it was quite fancy and boujee (although you do have to pay £40 for a sun bed for the day).

Arriving in the early hours of the morning check in only took several minutes. The Africa Hotel is in an ideal location to visit many of the attractions Rhodes has to offer, the bus station 10 minutes walk away, the old town the same distance. Rhodes is beautiful and I also enjoyed day trips to Lindos, Simi Island and Faliraki Beach to name a few. Breakfast at the hotel varied every day with various hot food plates, cereals, meat and fruit. I slept in a basic room which was spacious but perhaps next time would like to view the superior rooms to compare. One outstanding aspect of the hotel were the staff who work well as a team to provide perfect service to all clients, arriving as a guest but leaving good friends, Thank You Katerina, Michalis, Nikos and Vaso for the laughter and friendship we shared. I will miss you all and hope to see you again in the near future, Best Wishes, Anthony x

Convenient location, friendly helpful staff, spacious accesible kitchen with lots of cutlery and other options for prep. Ovens and stovetops all worked fine, and fridges had lots of space. Staff had tips on local places to visit, and did outings like the highly recommended sunset sail trip. Incredible experience there What disappointed me was where I stayed in the hostel. I was put in the basement, in a room with 2 other people. The 3 beds room option does NOT work. Horrible idea, any sounds are made louder because the space is so tight. Also, during my stay, basically everyone there was sick or coughing, or something was going around. Some of the staff got sick, and a few members despite having colds or active coughs, were actively working instead of isolating or resting. I saw one member cough right into their hand then go to pick fruit to make a drink at the bar with, yikes. Some of the staff though know to be responsible and isolate... Smacked my head 5 times going to the washroom or going up and down the stairs, or under low doorways. Felt like I was a prisoner or something else by being in the basement, it really made the stay worse. Also, the room is right next to the kitchen and outdoor seating area, so all that noise comes right into your room. My suggestion: stop renting the basement out, enforce quiet hours earlier (some of the staff really did not care about that). Would not stay again, sorry. My visit to Rhodes was great except for this.

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff - as you'd expect for a 2 star it isn't the best place in Greece but it's perfect for those who expect to be out and about constantly. We used it as a place to sleep and have a few dirnks whilst getting ready and it was great: the staff couldn't have been more helpful giving us a key fob so we could come in late at night, offering us free drinks and booking us taxis

Great find, didn’t stay we just had breakfast. We were forced in by the rain on our way to the beach, doesn’t look like much from the outside really but it’s great breakfast! British style bacon, fresh orange juice, HP sauce, generous with the butter and top up your tea and coffee for free without asking. The staff are friendly and although we haven’t been into the bar it does look very well stocked and clean.

The first is to let the hotel pick up the plane, because I am taking a 10-person car from the ferry to the town of 10 euros, only to the nearby, I have to drag the baggage far away to climb, really tired, if the hotel You should be able to help with your luggage. I don’t care if you have a million dollars to spend in Santorini, I still think everyone should stay here. The service is unmatched and the rooms are PERFECT for groups of three or a double. It’s a nice walk from Fira with grocery stores, bakeries, and other fun areas on the way. The individuals that work there will answer any questions you may have at any time, and provide airport transfers since the bus can be hard to figure out at times! I seriously swear by this place as a younger adult and know I will be back with my husband and kids when I am older (:

There is no breakfast, but the owner opened the restaurant himself. It should be almost equivalent to the level of a domestic guest house, but it's fairly clean. The facilities are relatively old, the pink flowers and graffiti at the door are awesome! Walk to the black beach in about ten minutes. At that time, it was because the flight to Santorini was too late and I thought it might be delayed, so I chose a very cheap hotel, and the boss waited for us to get there and introduced the nearby traffic and room conditions before going to rest. The price/performance ratio is not bad, only in the early 200s, I recommend this if you are looking for price.

Me and my wife along with our 5 year old daughter stayed at the Blue Waves Hotel for my sister in law’s wedding. The first thing I want to tell you is that all the staff in the hotel are so welcoming and can’t do enough for you, it feels like you’re part of a little family. A special mention to Marcos behind the bar he’s such a nice guy and was brilliant with our daughter. Our room was nice and cleaned daily but a little bit more space would’ve made it even better, it had a view out over the pool and the sea which was lovely first thing on a morning whilst having breakfast on our balcony a few times. The breakfast and lunch menu from the pool bar are very good and we enjoyed both on several occasions. The pool area is lovely with a shallow end for younger kids that slopes down to a deeper end for us big kids! The Sunbed’s are very comfy too. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people and would love to return one day😎

Nice place to stay. Manager was friendly, and the place is comfortable especially with the A/C. When I was there, the temperature was really high and wildfires were breaking out in neighbouring islands - so many of us stayed in the dorm in the afternoons. The price of the hostel bed is very expensive but on Santorini one don't have a choice - so in my view this is the cost effective place for solo travellers. Overall the place is nice and comfortable so I think it is a good choice. recommended and book in advance !

It’s so beautiful, although it’s a short distance from the town centre of Fira, it’s about ten minutes to go. The hotel in the town centre is definitely expensive. The room was a bit small, but fortunately, my friend and I saw that others said that it was very difficult to go to the push box, so I deposited the box in the hotel in Athens with my shoulder bag on the island, so the room was fine for us, regret it. Stay one more night

My husband and I stayed at the Matogianni hotel for one night on a stopover in Mykonos on our way to Naxos. I booked directly on their website, which I found gives you more specific room choices than third party booking sites, plus we were able to pay on arrival rather than in advance. The hotel itself is right in the heart of Mykonos town, but as it’s off a small side street, you get none of the noise from the bars and shopping areas nearby. We opted for a balcony room, which was actually a very decent size for the price we paid, and considering the location. The beds were comfortable, though my main complaint (as others have mentioned in their reviews) is the wet-room style shower. I felt like we had to almost sweep the water into the drain, as there wasn’t a natural slope to the floor. For one night this would be fine, but I fear if I needed to wash my hair (leaving water on for an extended time) that I could have flooded the whole room. One thing to keep in mind with this hotel is that it is right in the center of Mykonos town, meaning that cars/transfer vehicles can’t get near it. So although I had booked a transfer to the hotel from the airport, our driver had to drop us off at the top of the hill on the edge of town, and we had to walk downhill with our luggage. Thankfully we only had to do the downhill journey, as the next day we caught the sea bus to the new port, which was a flat walk towards the old port - just something to keep in mind if you are staying in the center of town with luggage to carry. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, as the price and location can’t be beat!

Chose it for our first stay in Mykonos. Adjacent to the popular Paradise Beach, this hotel was too good. A hotel where you can have fun from day to night!

The hotel was very well located, next to the famous super paradise beach. The pool area with spectacular views of the beach that was very clean, without stones and with sand. The room we got was not the best. The bathroom was a bit small and it didn't have as good a view as others. But still we have been very comfortable. Very attentive staff. Not so much on arrival but during the stay. Especially the guy at the pool bar and also the receptionists. What we found expensive is the transfer service. 50 eur anywhere, flat rate. On the way back using the bus because there is just a stop next to it. The beach clubs next to the hotel played loud music during the day and also until 2 or so. We didn't mind because we were looking for fun after spending several calmer days in Santorini. We loved visiting also the center of Mykonos. Spectacular .

Great stay. After we got off the boat, we took a taxi to the city center. After getting off the bus, there was a gentleman at the hotel waiting at the intersection (he may have known the arrival time), and also helped us carry a heavy suitcase and climbed about 200 meters to the stairs. I am very grateful... There is also a great view of the platform on the top floor of the hotel... The location of the hotel is not bad... In short, it was a very happy experience.

What a great place! I stayed here a week. The views are incredible but more importantly it’s the staff. Yana and family make this hotel what it is. It’s a 10 min walk down to the town, then a walk through to the picture perfect Little Venice. You can get room service and the picture attached is what I had all for €17. Huge Greek salad and was enough for the next day! Frappes are €3. The rooms are basic. Cleaned every day. Bathrooms are small but you do not spend time in your room! They are clean. Have a fridge, hairdryer, Air con and a safe as standard. I asked for a kettle so I could make a cup of tea. Nothing is a problem. You must try their baileys frappe ! Breakfast is your basic hotel breakfast but is lovely Greek yoghurt, honey, fruit, toast croissants, ham cheese etc. They do drop off and pick up from airport/port €20 each way. Always answered my messages through booking com. I travelled solo. Felt very safe walking into town at night and back. If I’m ever back here I will def stay at Gorgona. Handy to get buses from the port and about a 20 min walk to Fabrica the main bus place which Yana gave me directions for and I didn’t get lost! Which take you all over the island.
