5-Star Hotels in Province of Bali, Indonesia

Very large and busy hotel. Live music bar, huge pool area and lots of dining options. Definitely not the place to go if you want a peaceful environment, but if you want a bustling, family friendly environment then this is the place to go. The buffet breakfast was disappointing, not the best options or quality for food. The location is very good, many different shops, restaurants and leisure activities within walking distance of the hotel

The hospitality of the lady, Tata, was wonderful. Thanks to her, it was an unforgettable trip. The interior of the hotel was spiritual and modern and elegant. If you come to this hotel, you can forget about your everyday life. I felt like a bourgeois. I was satisfied with all the resort's ratings. I will back.

Amazing historical Balinese architecture needs to be greatly valued and the staff many of whom have worked there for many years are really nice. The hotel should be nominated as part of a historical society to hold up & maintain its heritage. It's an amazing old hotel with lovely gardens. & Balinese statues & water features everywhere. It's being renovated at the moment, but the staff said they hope to have the main lobby restored very soon and are doing trial run sometime this month. For now, you have to check into the hotel through a side entrance at Ayodhya palace which was traditionally used for exclusive guests. Previous reviews have criticized the hotel, due to the renovation work going on & yes, they should notify people who book that it is under renovations and when it is due to be finished trough their website. We had 2 rooms & we were upgraded to grand deluxe rooms & thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the staff were so nice. Extremely quite & peaceful no paint smells or workers being noisy. We got a great deal. Bicycles are free to use by patrons. The main pool is still under renovation but the front pool near the beach is still operating. Waterfall restaurant is open for breakfast lunch & dinner. Other small cafes by the pool are open. The spa sadly is closed but may reopen with a new contractor soon I am told. Please be understanding of what the Ayodya hotel & its staff have been through. It has been shut down during covid for 2 years and is only just re-opening. They need tourists to support them. & if you want value for money, you can get a great deal whilst staying at the hotel right now. Just ask to be placed in a room away from any renovation noise or paint smells. The staff will look after you very well as they did for us. From the excellent service from all staff members at every point of the hotel to the impressive facilities like the lobby and the pool, I was always in awe of my time there. The standard room I booked was also extremely spacious and thoughtfully designed + the breakfast selection was spectacular. I would 100% come back again for a much longer stay!

Great experience here! Booked a villa for two nights with a private pool. Experience of a lifetime! So nice. Food was great, room service was perfect, staff were so kind and helpful, loved the beach, surfing nearby, shopping and good restaurants at the Bali Collection within walking distance. Villa private pool has a lockable door that opens up the a joint pool for all villa guests. Couldn’t believe it when opened that door. Rarely saw anyone else out there. Only minor annoyance was that the shower area was partially outside so it was impossible to keep bathroom area temperature controlled. Hot poops haha. Have to keep the door to the bathroom closed to keep mosquitoes out. Still wonderful of course. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The direction and road leading to the resort can be tasting especially at night. Narrow road and no streetlamp. It's a sanctuary by itself and it's excellent just to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Far from any amenities and it's inconvenient to move around. Private chartered car is a must; no Grab no Gojek; unless you take local taxi booked via hotel. Moving from room to lobby and dining areas requires much walking up the slope/stairs (cos the hotel is like perched on hil). You can ask for a buggy service (they have 2) and are subject to waiting time if many requests. Room was splendid and view was canopy. WiFi was strong. Room came with complimentary packs of chips and 3 cans of soft drinks. Toilet has no door and showering could be cold cos of air-conditioning. Breakfast was simple. Buffet spread of basic menu like drinks and pastries. One could order from menu. I find this was good cos less wastage Overall, resort personnel were polite and attentive!

10 minutes away from Denpasar airport. Right smack in the middle of 2 malls walking distance, Hippomall and Discovery mall.  The Anvaya is a beautiful resort and a very thoughtful resort catering to most of family needs. Staff are extremely attentive to your needs. Simple yet thoughtful activities like water yoga held by the main pool. The villa was exceptional. Tranquil pool and lounge area for villa members with free afternoon tea and snacks. Our room was superb and of coz the private pool got the kids going non stop and the bathtub was the favourite for the kids with TV and their favourite programmes. 😊👍🏻 Well done

I can’t wait to return! Don’t think twice about it. I am traveling in a group of 5, I myself single in the studio worked beautifully. From arrival we were greeted at the airport quickly to the property where we were met once again with a warm welcome and orientation of our home for the next 6 days. Their story can be found on their website and is worth a read. We participated in their yoga classes, meditation, sistrum, ice bath, sound healing sessions. Kim is amazing and has impacted my life in a way no one else could touch. I wonder if she knows? A good selection from their breakfast menu was included, enjoyed it next to the pool near the ocean across the way. Potato Head was the first week of our journey to Bali and I now believe it when they say that when the stars align, you’ll know it. And Fysh, if you could be so blessed to meet her here. She took care of our group with her heart and it is still felt! I’m not going to ruin it for you. Wow wow wow This hotel is absolutely amazing! I have wanted to stay here for so long and finally got the chance for a special stay (we just got married). From the time we arrived (which was late at night) we knew we would love our stay. Yuda at check in was so welcoming and friendly - the positive stay just continued from there We had just come from a 5 star hotel in Australia and let me say, the Stones outshines the Crown in Australia anyday!!! The location is opposite the beach - right in Legian, so perfect spot. Plenty of lovely restaurants within walking distance, and you can pop just across the road to the beach bars for a drink and watch the amazing sunsets We had a plunge pool room - which was perfectly located within the hotel (room 157). We love the ground floor rooms. The room itself was nice and spacious, very clean, quite and the beds super comfy. We didn’t really use the plunge pool though as sadly the water is freezing!!! The main pool was perfect temperature and we swam in that a lot - it’s huge! There is plenty of room for everyone and getting sun most of the day, it’s not cold. They also provide big pillows in the pool - so you can float about and relax The ice cream man floats around throughout the day and brings popsicles and fruit sticks - it’s a lovely gesture. Also the HAPPY HOURS - they are awesome, from 12-6pm (buy one get one free on selected cocktails and beers) Breakfast options are next level - from Asian inspired to western and even a donut wall, there is something for everyone. You can get anything made fresh too The hotel also has a big lobby with chess and a pool table to have friendly games with people which was a great idea We can’t wait to stay again!!!

Alaya resort staff truly went above and beyond to make my wife’s birthday celebration special. They helped arrange a lovely surprise with flower petal decorations, a delicious birthday cake, and a beautiful rose bouquet (available at an extra cost). The resort's location is also excellent, situated right beside fantastic cafes like Pison, where we enjoyed a discount of 10%! Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and it comes with impeccable housekeeping service twice a day. Every detail was taken care of, making our two nights stay truly relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Alaya Resort for its exceptional service and fantastic location.
