The cleanliness was acceptable and consistent with the hotel’s facility rating. The location was excellent and suited our needs perfectly, as it is located right next to Taipei Main Station and can be reached in less than a 10-minute walk via the underground passage. Breakfast is served on the 6th floor, but there is no lift access, which may be inconvenient for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. However, it should not be a problem for younger guests. Overall, the hotel met our expectations and offered good value for its convenient location.

The editor's online conversation was very enthusiastic and sincere, but the male employee who received us on site had a blank expression 🫥 and no emotional introduction. I thought I was still in Taipei, but we asked enthusiastically and excitedly. Other than that, the overall environment was generally good. If you are afraid of noise, please be careful. The train is right next to you and will still come in and stop very late, and the sound will be amplified.

Fantastic stay! The environment was spotless and tidy, and the common areas were cozy and welcoming. My bed was also very clean. The staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to help. The location is super convenient, with restaurants and public transport nearby. I met so many travelers from different places, and the atmosphere was relaxed and free-spirited. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Easy to find the location. The owner were very understanding and kind since we arrived almost late from the check in time, they speak english. The view were so beautiful especially at night. There is an in-house police in the building as well as 711 convenience store. And outside there are lots of convenience store to be found. The train station is very near too. And also the elavator is very spacious.

A delightful surprise! The decor was thoughtful, and although it's a three-story building, it has an elevator 👍🏻👍🏻 The interior had a subtle fragrance, like being in a high-end Thai massage parlor. Breakfast was provided, and the ambiance was beautiful! The rooms were fully equipped and very welcoming! The cleanliness was five-star 🤩 There was a small pond and an inflatable duck, and in the morning, the chirping of birds provided natural sounds. The owner was also incredibly kind and friendly; she even prepared a delicious and exquisite takeaway breakfast for us when we went out early in the morning. We were very grateful to her 😍 It's a truly wonderful guesthouse!

After coming back from Taiwan, I suddenly realized I hadn’t posted any photos or written a review about the adorable wooden cabin our family stayed in at Jiufen. Everyone in my family loved this place so much that I had to jot everything down now that I finally have some free time. Most people I know usually stay in Taipei longer and just make a day trip to Jiufen without spending the night. As for me—I’ve lived in Hong Kong for quite a while, so compared to Hong Kong, Taipei didn’t leave much of an impression on me in terms of sights or food. The only thing that truly made me want to visit Taiwan was Jiufen — a sparkling little gem between the mountains and the sea 🏮🌿🌊 Jiufen feels like a dreamy fairytale village with its winding narrow alleys, steep stone stairways, and the warm glow of red lanterns everywhere. Walking around felt like stepping into another world, almost like a scene from a manga — especially for anyone who’s watched Spirited Away. ⸻ ⭐🛖 Review of the wooden cabin called Twilight Forest in Jiufen Just a 5-minute walk from the Old town, this wooden cabin brings together the warm glow of wood and the peaceful feeling of retreating into nature. It has a unique A-frame design, and at night, when the lights turn on, the whole place becomes incredibly cozy — the golden light shining through the windows and the plants around it create a “hideaway from the world” kind of vibe. Inside, the space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. There’s a small terrace with a swing chair hanging straight from the ceiling — sitting there at night, listening to insects and the wind rustling through the leaves, feels genuinely healing 🙃. 🛁🌿 Highlight: The glass-walled bathroom in the garden This is the standout feature of the cabin. The bathtub is large and comfortable, placed right next to a 180° glass wall looking directly into a lush green garden. Natural daylight pours in, making your daytime bath feel like an outdoor spa surrounded by plants. (There’s also a roller blind if you need privacy) Jiufen is a tiny village perched on a mountain, and it doesn’t have many hotels that offer spacious, comfortable accommodations. That’s why I was so happy to find this wooden cabin. Our family had the most wonderful two-night stay here. If I ever return to Taipei, I would definitely book this place again ❤️

got room 201, two queen beds meant for 4 but we only had 2 pax, as 2 pax rooms were unavailable. paid abt 214 for the room in Apr 2026. location was decent, near 711, restaurants and the train station. interior lobby and walkways look refreshed, but the rooms are certainly dated. cleanliness is generally acceptable, but the toilet ventilation produced a slight but noticeable foul smell. wifi was also slow.

I arrived in Taiwan on my first night at around 11:00 PM and checked in to ColorMix Hotel & Hostel. I had booked a single room with a shared bathroom. One thing I really appreciated was the 24-hour reception. Since I arrived late at night, it gave me great peace of mind knowing I didn’t have to worry about how to check in. When I opened the room door, I was pleasantly surprised that the air conditioning was already on, making the room cool and comfortable after coming in from the hot weather outside. The room was simple and cozy, with a small staircase leading up to the bed. The shared bathrooms were clean, and the hotel provided towels and a hairdryer, which was very convenient. I only stayed for one night, and overall I was satisfied with my stay. The only downside was that the mattress was quite thin, so it wasn’t the most comfortable sleep. On the other hand, the blanket was thick and comfortable. Overall, it’s a good option for a short stay, especially if you’re arriving late at night and looking for a clean, convenient place with friendly amenities.

Budget-friendly and very accessible from Taipei Main Station! We had a great stay and loved the convenience of the location. One suggestion would be to replace the black walls with a lighter limewash color to make the room feel more spacious and bright. It would also be nice if the rooms had a bit more cabinet or storage space. 😊 Additionally, we hope the mattresses can be upgraded to something more comfortable for a better sleeping experience. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back. Thank you! We loved it! ❤️

I stayed here recently and overall the room was really good—clean, comfortable bed, and I slept very well. The atmosphere at night was quiet, perfect for relaxing. However, I felt a bit frustrated with the staff communication. I asked for the Wi-Fi name, but the staff only told me to use the username and password provided without actually telling me the Wi-Fi name. I had to ask several times and still didn’t get a clear answer, which was quite confusing and a bit annoying. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay, but it would be much better if the communication with guests was clearer.
