3-Star Hotels in Shanghai, China

The airport hotel is great for resting while waiting for a morning flight—very convenient, just a short walk to the departure hall. The only downside is that the air conditioner in the room wasn’t very cool, even when set to the lowest temperature. If I get the chance, I’d stay there again.

The hotel stay experience is perfect. Although during my stay there is some renovation work being done but it didn’t affect our stay. Room is clean. But the breakfast need to improve because it’s just a pre packed food from Lawson which is just outside of the hotel, I mean I can also walked out to buy it myself as well. I was expecting some decent breakfast where I can sit at the cafe and enjoy the food. Location of the hotel is around 700m from the metro, so you need to push your luggage for that distance to get to the hotel, luckily the road condition is good.

This is my my second time to stay in JI Hotel (Shanghai People’s Square), the location is very close to Nanjing Pedestrian walk, Shopping malls, restaurants, public transportation like subway, bus station, it is 2mins to these areas. The hotel is very clean, specially font desks are very kinds and helpful which assist me to buy extra fabrics bag online and delivery timely to pack my stuffs after heavily shopping and buy delicious traditional cakes home as my luggage is out of space. I will accommodate in the hotel for my next trip In Shanghai and would recommend friends to stay in this hotel to witness, thanks!

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect balance of comfort and style. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the amenities provided were top-notch. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ensuring we had everything we needed. The location was also fantastic, making it easy to explore. The only downside was the Wi-Fi connection, which was quite slow and inconsistent. It wasn’t a major issue for me since I was there to relax, but it could be improved. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. If they upgrade the Wi-Fi, it would be absolutely perfect! 😊✨

Located in a bustling area in Shanghai main metropolitan area, 24hrs restaurants are easily accessible when you're starving at night, ******* delivery are the best, the hotel have a robot that can deliver to your room 24/7, super easy. Room is very clean and they provide a lot of drinking water too. Overall I recommend this hotel to all traveller in Shanghai.

The location is great, the room was very big, but although i booked the room for the view ( as far as i could understand from the booking site, this was it) when we got to the hotel the staff asked us to pay extra for a room with a view of the Pearl Tower, but this room was a lot smaller so we chose the room without a view of the Pearl Tower. We could check in early, because the official hour is 16.00. Breakfast is good, western and asian options.

Great Stay at Youli Hotel – Fantastic Location and Comfortable Room Even though Youli Hotel is a small property, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room—it was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The hotel’s location is excellent, just a short walk from People’s Square Metro Station, which connects to many metro lines, making it very convenient for getting around the city. It’s also within walking distance to the bustling Nanjing Road. The staff were very helpful and friendly, even though they don’t speak English—they always tried their best to assist. I had a great stay at Youli Hotel and would definitely choose to stay here again if I return to Shanghai.

The location of the hotel is great, only a 10min walk to nanjing road which is the main shopping district. There was so much food options right downstairs. The receptionist were all super friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy with the room. The room is nicely decorated with an oriental style.

What can I say, if you’re on the fence just pull the trigger. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at DaYin and you should too! My plan to visit Shanghai was a super last minute, game time decision. Right after the recent Chinese holiday, for only a day, and was fully accommodated for with all the convenience I could hope for. Not only was it located in a prime location (really doesn’t get better than this as it’s next to everything touristy, saving you precious time) but everything from the service, amenities, and operation of their hostel was a pleasant surprise as it really exceeded my expectations (compared to all other accommodations I have been to like this one). The staff are very friendly and hard working, the shared areas are all kept exceptionally clean for the amount of traffic that comes through, and they probably have the best vitamin/electrolyte water in the game downstairs. I really loved how they have a extensive list of import beers which you can grab from the fridge or enjoy on tap, and the espressos that they extract were both rich and flavourful (good job). I never tried the food offerings as I knew what I wanted to eat locally, with night markets, food halls, and local eateries right as you step outside. But, from all the orders that I saw made by other guests, it all looked to be quite tasty and definitely a good option for those who want a little taste from home. Damn, this is getting long but there is a lot to say. Well, in the effort to keep things short I really didn’t have any negative experience or feel inconvenienced at all. The cleaners work around your time keeping things tidy and there are staff present 24/7 to assist, especially important if you keep locking your room keys in your room/assigned locker like me, aha. Fei and Zu were the best, but the rest of the staff were just as awesome. I enjoyed Shanghai so much that I wanted to extend my stay, which they helped me with swiftly. The room was also very nicely thought out. That’s probably all you need to know and no this was not a paid review. Thanks DaYin team!✌️
