2-Star Hotels in Gangwon State, South Korea

I chose this hotel for its easy accessibility from Gangneung Station. As expected, it was conveniently located about a 10-15 minute walk from Gangneung Station, which was great for getting around within Gangneung. However, there were a few significant issues: 1. I requested a quiet room, but I was assigned to the noisiest room on the second floor, right in the center. -> Rooms in the middle of a building are usually the loudest, and it seemed my request wasn't considered at all (*I suspect rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis at check-in). 2. From the moment I checked in on the first day until I checked out on the last day, there was constant noise from the floor above. (The night before check-out, the room next to mine, right by my bed's headboard, had banging and thumping noises until 3 AM). -> This is similar to the noise issue in point 1. Late at night, there were thumping sounds near my head, loud door slams from nearby rooms, and noisy sounds from the room next door (thumping, loud talking or yelling – I can't imagine what they were doing for so long until 3 AM!). 3. Due to issues 1 and 2, I barely got any sleep during my entire stay. I tried to catch a quick nap before checking out in the morning, but I was disturbed by cleaning noises and the sound of chairs and tables being dragged in nearby rooms. That's all.

Amazing hotel. The room has everything you need. The sea is nearby 😍 and there's a beautiful lake on the other side. There's a bus stop behind the hotel, easy to get to from the train station. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. There's a 7/11. Thank you for your hospitality 🥰

I'm not sure if it was the manager or the owner, but their kindness made a good first impression. However, once I stepped inside, the room was so dirty that I could feel dust on my feet. If the interior was as clean as the exterior, I'd definitely return.

I stayed at Cinema Room for one night, and it became the best accommodation of my life. As a local in Gangneung, I’ve been to many places, but among all the accommodations in the area, this is the best in terms of reasonable price and great facilities. It was incredibly clean, perhaps because it was recently remodeled. I was surprised by the pleasant scent that filled the air as soon as I entered. You could tell the owner pays attention to the details. We arrived a bit early because of parking, but there was plenty of space once we got there, so you don't need to worry. The interior of the room is truly clean and tidy. The bathroom is spacious, the bathtub and sink are clean, and they provided plenty of towels, so we were able to use it comfortably. There is a convenience store within a 3-minute walk, and it is also close to Jungang Market and Gangneung Station, so the location is excellent. I highly recommend this as accommodation for your trip to Gangneung!!

The front desk was so friendly and helpful! Also the location is perfect, everything is near by and the ocean is right in front of the hotel.

I stayed with my child to go to Legoland on weekdays. First of all, it's 7 minutes by car from Legoland and 300 meters from Dakgalbi Alley. It was okay to have toast and milk for a quick breakfast. I will use it again the next time I come to Chuncheon.

It was a trip to Sokcho that was arranged in a hurry, but the choice of accommodation was so good! We left from Busan and arrived a little late, but the owner welcomed us warmly. The staff was also very kind, and the breakfast was delicious. Above all, it was a new hotel, so the room condition was really clean and great. Be sure to try the coffee at the cafe on the 3rd floor! It's a great place for vanilla latte!! I'll visit again when I go to Sokcho! I'll rest well and go!!

Good and very warm welcoming hotel in the heart of Seorak mountain national park. You have big rooms, simple self-service breakfast and free self-service laundry if you need. Beautiful views in a foot-step distance, and the Seoraksan cable car in 3 minute drive (or 20 min walk).
