The front desk was so friendly and helpful! Also the location is perfect, everything is near by and the ocean is right in front of the hotel.

The hotel was great. Perfect location. Front beach and a lot of seafood restaurants and cafes nearby. Staff in reception are nice. We were greeted politely and was given a complimentary chocolates for the nye which we thought a very sweet and nice gesture. The room is big and clean. Comfortable bed. We will definitely stay here again in summer.

Front desk speaks basic English. Right next to the beach. Has luggage storage. Double sliding windows and another door for the main entrance to help reduce outside noise. Lake on the other side of hotel.

It’s really right in front of the sea!!
The price was reasonable so I didn't expect much.
The bed was large and the room was spacious and very comfortable.
It was convenient to have a water purifier and microwave on every floor.
The parking lot was large, so there was no inconvenience at all when using it.
I plan to use it again next time I come to Gangneung.

First of all, the location is great and it's great to be able to go to nearby tourist attractions from the accommodation. Considering how old the building is, it seemed to be well maintained, but it wasn't very clean.
Personally, the most important thing, sleeping, was very disappointing.
The bed mattress is cheap and the blanket is heavy and cheap… If you look closely, the bedding is very old... The bed was uncomfortable and my whole body was tingling when I woke up in the morning. The ocean view was nice and it was in front of the beach and everything was so so, but because of the bed and bedding, I will leave Soo Hotel as a memory after this.
However, considering the price range and other factors, it is definitely a good value for money place.

This is a good value hotel. It is a quiet hotel close to the sea, easy to get to Gangneung Station. Since it was a family hotel, the noise wasn't too bad.
Although the facility is old, it has a view of the sea or Gyeongpo Lake, so it's nice to zone out while drinking tea. ^^
