I stayed here one night, en route to a somewhat professional meeting, and it was fine. The downstairs kitchen is very small but was cozy with a varied little crowd: a cinematic Peruvian business traveler, a vintage working class hero from the Balkans who made himself world class chicken, and a Dutch cosmopolitan who was bewildered by the strange outdated scenery in Leipzig.
The location of this hostel is likely the best among the choices as it's situated very close to the railway station and a museum. The staff was exceptionally friendly, for European standards, so this was a big plus.
The dorm I stayed in was the large one, but it's divided into three smaller rooms so it's rather quiet at night, which is good.
The accommodation is very central to the city centre. The reception lady is friendly and nice. The room was convenient and clean.
What we didn't know that refugees were located there that require security 24/7 and therefore have renounced reservation for breakfast because it came like in a youth hostel. This should be solved differently for hotel guests. Despite 24/7 Security and payment of parking fees, the car disk was shot at night, for several vehicles. In this situation, the staff was completely overloaded.
The hotel is located about 400 to 500m from the Central Station. To me, it felt like an old East German office building repurposed as a hotel. Our hotel room was very basic. It featured two steel bed frames with rather firm mattresses. Taller guests (185cm and above) might find their feet hitting the higher end of the bed frame. There was a table in the room. No wardrobe was provided, only a small rack for hanging jackets or towels. The bathroom is small, equipped with a sink, shower, and toilet. Everything was reasonably functional. Breakfast is available, but we preferred to use the local bakeries in town instead. The hotel is good and suitable for those with simple needs and a small budget.

The location is very good. Just walk straight out of the train station gate and you will reach the hotel in 5 minutes. It is a commercial pedestrian street, not far from the surrounding City Hall Square, shopping malls and supermarkets. It is quiet and safe. The rooms are not big and the facilities are simple. It is cost-effective.
Superior Double Room
1. Self Check-in Automat is very self-conscious, presents as birth year 2008 and cannot be corrected.
All data already entered during the booking are not automatically available, but must be entered again.
2. Door closed without function, good half hour waiting for housemaster.
There are left-hand telephone slips before reaching the hotline/noise number, I don't understand this under an emergency number.
It would have been better to provide an alternative room immediately.
3. No invoice corresponding to the booking / the amount paid. (Invoice amount is 20% lower than the invoice amount. What is that for a booking / you could also use the word fraud and/or tax evasion.
As a business traveler, this is a whole disaster
Conclusion:
as a business traveler, the hotel is completely inappropriate
The room was very simple, because the reservation was late, more than 500 nights were still public toilets and bathrooms. I don't know much about the consumption level in Dresden and I don't know how other hotels are.

Very Good
SShengsequanmaFrankly, it's a very budget-friendly and convenient hotel. I'm giving it 5 stars because, overall, it truly exceeded my expectations, especially with its cleanliness and tidiness. However, do manage your expectations, as it is, after all, a very economical hotel.

GGuest UserIt’s a creative and colorful place with an exceptionally friendly staff! :)
The location is great. Affordable places to eat and a Rewe are very close. The building is located in a quite backyard. You can sleep like a baby in the wild heart of the Neustadt and you can easily go to bars and dancing locations or have a drink at their own bar in the same building. Across the street you can dance at the „Ostpol“, Glühwein and beer gardens, designers and tons of art are just around the corner. I recommend leaving the tram at the „Bischofsweg“ station. There is also a Café at that corner where you can get gluten-free pancakes 😍

GGuest UserWe were there for the Luisenfest and thought it was great. Everything in the room was clean and very hygienic. Of course it's a house from 1884, which means that not everything can or should be perfectly renovated (broken). But that's what makes it so special. Great people work there!
Breakfast is everything you need without any unnecessary things and only costs €8.50. You can have breakfast inside or outside, which I particularly love. WiFi was so-so, but there were a lot of people logged on.
From the balcony I had a full view of the festival.
