2-Star Hotels in Hunan, China

I am 69 years old and have been living overseas for over forty years. Despite the language barrier, I truly appreciate （洋蜻）your patience and thoughtfulness in providing us with important travel information for seniors, as well as your valuable and heartwarming advice—all without causing us any inconvenience. Although we stayed for only one night, your 洋蜻careful guidance saved us a great deal of time and effort on our trip to Tianmen Mountain and the National Forest Park, helping us avoid unnecessary detours. Your thoughtfulness means a great deal to us. Thank you sincerely for your help, which made our journey smoother and more wonderful.

The location was great, near the cable station (a) but unfortunately my room has a wierd smell as a pop. And also all the room and floor smell like smoke ( this was very anyoone ) , the room was not soo clean, the walls very dirty and also the bathroom, it had a window but inside a building so you don’t see much. I need to say that the receptionist was amazing and her did his best, so I don’t have any bad thing to say about the attention, just the hotel needs to be improved; I understand the price is low, but a few improves will help you a lot.

The owner is so warm, thoughtful, and provides excellent service; they even offer laundry service. The guesthouse environment is very comfortable, and the rooms are spotless. There are lots of plants and flowers around, and it's super close and convenient to Tianmen Mountain. It's also near the bus and train stations, and there are plenty of snack options nearby. So convenient! This is the most comfortable and cleanest guesthouse I've ever stayed in.

The room was quite spacious and very clean, with a full-length mirror and a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. When the complimentary bottled water ran out, I could easily get more myself. There's also a water dispenser with disposable cups, and hot water is available too. On the downside, the table in the room was a bit low, which wasn't very comfortable for eating. Also, the soundproofing wasn't great; I could hear people going up the stairs quite loudly.

The location is very convenient, close to the city center with plenty of shopping malls nearby. However, the building was a bit hard for me to find at first. The hotel is located on the 15th floor, which I didn’t know beforehand, but luckily two Chinese girls helped me call the hotel and figure it out. The room was good for the price—not very big, but comfortable and more than enough for one person.

A beautiful, clean, and modern room with a breathtaking view, where part of the waterfall can be seen from the balcony. After returning from our evening walk around the village, we had to wait a little while for the room to become warm enough to sleep. We stayed in January, so the AC likely needed some time to reach a comfortable temperature. An additional heater for winter nights would be a nice touch, though it was not a major issue. The owner was very friendly and gave us helpful directions on how to explore the village.

The front desk service was very good. The room was small but well-equipped. The only difference was that the hair dryer wasn't powerful enough. The shampoo and shower gel came in disposable sachets. There were also disposable slippers. The TV worked fine.

The room offered a great view, was clean, well-ventilated, and had fast internet—I was very satisfied. It was also quiet, making for a very relaxing stay. Definitely the best choice for a hotel near the train station. The location is excellent, making it easy to buy fruit and find places to eat. There's even a late-night snack spot across from the hotel with pretty good food. The price was reasonable, and the service was great. They also offer free luggage storage, which was incredibly helpful since I had a late-night train. A special shout-out to the front desk staff, who were very attentive and even upgraded my room. Highly recommended!

The B&B is right by the river, offering excellent river views. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful; they arranged a taxi to pick us up from the high-speed rail station, personally met us at the ancient city entrance, helped with our luggage, and provided detailed information about exploring the ancient city. We were extremely satisfied and highly recommend it.
