3-Star Hotels in Troms, Norway

The service was great. It's close to the city center, about a 10-minute walk to the northernmost McDonald's 🍔, and the Arctic Gate is just 3-5 minutes on foot behind the hotel. The hotel's 12th floor has an open-air rooftop, offering a fantastic view of the cable car 🚡. If you're lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights, it's an excellent viewing spot with an unobstructed sky. The hotel breakfast was a bit monotonous (Western-style), though smoked salmon was plentiful, and there were some local specialties. I found the first-floor restaurant not to be great value for money for dinner. The 10th-floor restaurant requires a reservation in advance, and if you get a window seat, you can see the Arctic Cathedral ⛪️ across the fjord. The food there was delicious and much better value than the 1st-floor restaurant. In Tromsø, it was the best restaurant I've been to (in my personal opinion). The hotel lobby on the first floor has a very convenient taxi calling machine; you can wait in the lobby and then directly hop into the taxi when it arrives at the door.

I really like the hotel’s location—it’s easy to reach from the airport and convenient for getting to nearby attractions. Everything I wanted to visit in Tromsø is within walking distance. The staff are warm and friendly, and I appreciate that they provide hot water at the Barception for instant drinks or cup noodles. I also enjoyed their hot latte (self paid) it was perfect for warming up as I stepped out and strolled toward my first stop, the Tromsø City Library and Archive.

Very good experience in Lofoten！ As we need check out before 8am, we did not have time to eat breakfast, the hotel give us a take-away sandwiches and an apple, which is very tasty!

The facade definitely stands out and the place was cosy. However, the photos were not representative of the actual place not exactly in a good way. We stayed in the designer cabin (which costs more) but were surprised by how small it was. I would not recommend paying more for the cabin during summer as there is not much to see and less convenient considering we needed to walk a distance to access the amenities including the toilets and kitchen which we did not know when we booked.

It's just a few minutes' walk to the library and the northernmost McDonald's. Getting to the cable car is a bit further on foot, maybe a 20-30 minute walk. You can also take the bus, as there are plenty of bus stops nearby. There are supermarkets and restaurants right next door, so it's all quite convenient. 2. **Service:** The room doesn't have a kettle or slippers. If you need hot water, you have to ask the front desk to get it for you…

A great place to stay, though the uphill walk to the building can be a bit challenging. The property is clean, even with shared toilets and showers. I appreciated the shared kitchen and the free laundry. The complimentary cookies, coffee, and tea were a nice touch and really made a difference. Oliver at reception was especially helpful and provided plenty of useful information. I would definitely recommend staying here

The hotel was wonderful. We arrived from Paris very late, almost 11 pm, and the hotel staff patiently guided us through check-in. Since it was so late, we asked her where the nearest supermarket was, and she immediately sent us the location. She was also very patient on the phone, telling us where the microwave was. The key point is that the hotel is incredibly close to the supermarket!! Just two minutes away! Who knows how valuable that distance is in Norway?! And across the bridge is the Arctic Cathedral, and it's only a 10-minute walk to the meeting point for all activities! We truly stayed in a hotel where everything was excellent! Norway is such a pleasant and memorable place!

Fantastic view and spacious room. Arctic Inn sits right in front of the fjord. We saw mountains, birds and water when we woke up. The room is quiet. Lars, the owner, and his team are friendly and accommodating. When asked in advance, Lara will be happy to prepare a vegan meal. There is a gym and pool table for winding down inside. Quite a few local hikes around. Very much recommended.

Hygienic level is normal The hotel location is pretty good There will be a bus to the airport within a 4-minute walk It takes 6 minutes to walk to the world's northernmost McDonald's. (28/10/2024) Service is also very good Front desk staff smiling Free Waffle making materials were provided on the day we stayed. It's a pity that we were almost out of batter when we got back. Great hotel for it's price. Especially when tromso is such an expensive city. Like seriously expensive. The check in process was seamless and quite convenient. A passcode is sent to me prior to arriving and I just needed to key that in. Only problem was that the hotel was located on the top of a hill. So it was painful trying to get to it from city center.
