The Property & Rooms: Dongshi Inn is a beautiful, rustic gem managed personally by the owner. It features a modern brick building attached to the owner’s traditional house, preserving a wonderful ”old world” charm with its wooden walls. We stayed on the 4th floor (there are only 8 rooms total), and the view was breathtaking—exactly like the photos on Trip.com. The amenities were as clean and complete as a boutique hotel. The Hospitality & Food: Although breakfast wasn’t listed during booking, the owner prepared a fantastic meal for us. We had local mung bean and wheat noodles with preserved vegetables and minced meat. It was honestly tastier than the local street food. She also provided steamed brown bread, eggs, and tea in her own home. Going Above and Beyond: The owner is incredibly helpful. She assisted us with river cruise tickets, booked our transport out of town, and even walked us to the driver on our last day. Most impressively, when we accidentally overpaid at a nearby restaurant, she personally helped us get our money back immediately. One morning, we wanted to buy postcards, but it was early and the bookshop was still closed. The owner personally went to the shop, which belongs to her friend, and opened the doors for us herself so we could browse, then called the shop owner to wake up and come down! This level of care is rare. She also helped us with cruise tickets, transport, and even resolved an overpayment issue at a local restaurant for us instantly. 客栈与客房 东篱客栈（Dongshi Inn）是一家非常美丽、充满古朴韵味的精品民宿，由老板娘亲力亲为管理。建筑巧妙地将现代砖楼与老板原有的木质老宅结合在一起，保留了那种迷人的“旧世界”木质美感。全店只有8间房，每层仅2间。我们住在4楼，窗外的景色美得令人窒息—上预订时看到的照片一模一样。房间里的设施像精品酒店一样齐全且干净。 餐饮与款待 虽然预订时没有包含早餐，但老板娘还是为我们准备了丰盛的餐点。我们品尝了当地的绿豆面和麦面，配上酸菜肉沫，说实话，比外面街上卖的还要好吃。老板娘还在自己家里招待我们，准备了馒头、鸡蛋和热茶。 无微不至的服务 老板娘的热情简直无敌。有一天一早我们想买明信片，但书店还没开门。因为书店老板是她的朋友，老板娘直接过去帮我们开了店门，让我们先进去挑选，然后才打电话叫醒还在楼上睡觉的老板下来！这种关怀真的非常罕见。此外，她还帮我们买游船票、联系出城的车，甚至在最后一天亲自带我们去见司机。最让我们敬佩的是，我们在附近餐厅不小心付多了钱，在她的帮助下，钱立刻就退回给了我们。这里的办事效率极高。 旅行小贴士 龚滩古镇全是高低不平的青石板路。强烈建议不要带大件拉杆箱，背个背包是必须的，因为路面非常不适合轮子滚动。至于洗衣服，这里有洗衣机，我们发现利用空调的制热模式在房间里晾衣服，干得非常快。 总结： 如果再来这里旅行，我们绝对会再次入住。我们会向所有亲朋好友强烈推荐这家完美的宝藏客栈！

Fantastic! It's located right in Xiahaoli, so you're literally living amidst the scenery. It's wonderfully quiet in the mornings and evenings, and it's super convenient to head back to your room after exploring. It's only about a 2-3 minute walk from Exit 1, and you can take Exit 3 down to Nanbin Road. The butler service was great; they helped with luggage pick-up and drop-off. The breakfast was a set menu and very refined.

Parents and us siblings had a comfortable stay in our tent hotel. We were given rooms close to each other. They even allowed us to check in early for 1 room to accommodate for my mum who isn't well. They are kind to send us to the Visitor Centre and pick us up after we are done seeing the sites. Location was great. Walking distance to food. And we had a good breakfast in the morning.

The absolute highlight of the room is the stunning river view. The floor-to-ceiling windows look right out at Raffles City, offering an expansive, unobstructed vista. Waking up in the morning and opening the curtains reveals the misty river and sparkling water, while evenings are perfect for quietly watching the sunset and afterglow. At night, the city lights from both banks shimmer and reflect on the water—lying in bed just taking it all in is incredibly therapeutic. The room was thoroughly clean, fully equipped, and enjoyed great lighting and ventilation. The location is very convenient for getting around. Enjoying the river breeze in my spare time and taking in the blend of cityscapes and waterways made this the most satisfying stay of our trip. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a great river view!

Evening strolls watching the sunset were so therapeutic. The room was clean and cozy, and the smart home features were super convenient to use. The floor-to-ceiling windows framed the entire sea view perfectly, and waking up to the sun in the morning was pure bliss~ The owner even thoughtfully prepared local snacks and a travel guide. The value for money is absolutely fantastic, I'll definitely stay here again next time! 👍

The price is very high. I originally booked a 3-person room with Trip.com. I went to check in at 1 pm. I upgraded to a 4-person room for free. The computer configuration is high. The chicken alliance is not stuck at all. The sanitation is good. The main thing is the floor-to-ceiling windows. A few friends open the black quack together. Happy 🎉, There are snacks, drinks and drinks in the room, and the deposit is deducted.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the front desk staff. The lady at the reception was incredibly kind and polite, not overly formal or insincere. She was always proactive in helping with any issues and was very meticulous and thoughtful in her work. I felt respected throughout my stay and was very comfortable.

Centrally located in Yuzhong District, this hotel is super convenient for business and shopping, being close to the Jiefangbei commercial area. The room was quiet with good soundproofing, clean, and the bedding was comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. The 24-hour front desk was very responsive, and the location makes commuting easy. It offers excellent value for money for business travelers. Highly recommend!

The room is very good, clean and tidy. It is located next to Hongya Cave and overlooks the entire Hongya Cave at night. The surrounding transportation is convenient and there are many delicious foods. I recommend it!

”I’ve seen comments saying that the cheaper single rooms in China tend to reek of cigarette smoke, but thankfully this hotel had no tobacco smell at all—that was a plus. That said, it didn’t feel as clean as the reviews suggested. Still, the owner was friendly, so I’d say it’s fine overall.”
