5-Star Hotels in Zhoushan

After visiting Mount Putuo, I stayed at this hotel in Zhujiajian, and it was quite unique! It's right opposite the Guanyin Bodhisattva World, so the next day I could just scan my ID to enter, which was a good experience! The room was nice, and they offer a shuttle service. The minibar items were complimentary, and the auntie even brought milk and fruit.

Hilton Zhoushan is an outstanding choice with stunning sea views, spacious and tidy rooms, and comfortable beds. Service is warm and efficient, especially thanks to Mingo, who is thoughtful, professional, and always ready to help. The hotel enjoys a convenient location, great facilities, and delicious breakfast. A truly pleasant stay, highly recommended for business and leisure trips.

Traveling during the May Day holiday, this pet-friendly hotel left me a bit underwhelmed, perhaps due to my high expectations. Parking was limited, so I'd advise against driving if possible. One evening, the underground garage was full, and I was asked to park in a distant overflow lot. Unfortunately, the shuttle service wasn't well-coordinated, which was a minor annoyance. The driveways were also very narrow, making passing difficult and definitely not beginner-driver friendly. The 'pet-friendly' aspect also fell short. Some of the sofas in the outdoor pet dining area were badly mildewed (I took photos but decided not to post them after the hotel waived the pet cleaning fee when I mentioned it at check-out). The hotel's landscaping was poor; there wasn't even a suitable place to walk my dog. I had high hopes for the pet menu, but even during May Day, they were out of stock, with only one option available. Unfortunately, my dog had already eaten beef that day, so we couldn't try it. The breakfast selection was very limited, and the quality wasn't great, which doesn't align with a resort hotel's positioning. Soundproofing was also an issue; in the mornings, I could hear square dancing music, and in the afternoons, the noisy children's play area was clearly audible, even with the windows closed. There's also nothing to see or do around the hotel, further contradicting its resort status. The only positive was that the hot tub filled up quickly, making for a decent soak.

On the day of my trip, there was heavy fog and rain, causing multiple changes to the ferry schedule. I really appreciate the executive, Li Fenjun, for her thoughtful reminders and assistance with coordination throughout: she gave me early warnings about cancellations, promptly informed me when services resumed, proactively arranged a shuttle when there was traffic control on-site, and even helped me clarify false information, ensuring I got on the vehicle smoothly. The hotel's location is excellent, close to a bus stop, making travel very convenient. A little tip: when returning from Mount Luojia, you can take the hotel's vehicle directly back without having to detour to Puji Temple. The entire trip went very smoothly, and I'm very grateful!

The location is tremendously convenient for travelers as it is just next to the bus transit station as well as Fa Yu Shi. It is highly recommended to stay here should you be spending a leisure time traveling in the north of Putuoshan Mountain as it will be taking up a day or 2 to go around the places nearby the Hotel. The breakfast @ the Hotel Restaurant was best and we really enjoy the food being served. The hotel service provided is no doubt to be superb.

I chose the right hotel for my trip to Zhoushan this time. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and check-in was a breeze. The hotel has a great atmosphere, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast spread is incredibly rich with a wide variety of options. The executive lounge, in particular, has a wonderful ambiance. They even offered a complimentary cocktail and coffee. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

The hotel's decor exudes a classic elegance. The white furnishings are incredibly refined, and the calligraphy and artwork are tastefully chosen. The inscription at the entrance, ”常游究竟空” (meaning roughly ”Always wandering in ultimate emptiness”), adds a touch of Zen. The hotel's location in the heart of the scenic area is a huge advantage. Because of this, everything about the room was perfect, except for it being a bit small.

The room was too small, and the toilet had a strange odor. They even tried to charge extra for my child's breakfast. It was one adult and two children, even if you consider it two adults, children are usually free! They didn't charge on the first day, but then tried to charge on the second. Are they just trying to swindle people? The breakfast was better than a guesthouse, but unlike a guesthouse, there's no dedicated car to take you where you want to go. I guess accommodation on the island is generally not as good as in the city. Five-star prices for three-star amenities. Accommodation in Putuo is getting more and more expensive, with more scams, and it's becoming less authentic. This year's accommodation is even more expensive than last year, and the service is really mediocre.

Staying at the Zhoushan Greentown Sheraton Hotel My partner and I chose the Zhoushan Greentown Sheraton Hotel for our recent short trip. We booked a deluxe city-view king room, and our one-night stay far exceeded my expectations. The hotel boasts an excellent location, making travel very convenient. The surrounding transportation is smooth, whether you want to take a stroll by the sea or head into the city for shopping and dining. Upon arrival, the hotel's grand and well-maintained exterior, with its extensive greenery, immediately impressed us. The lobby felt high-end and spacious, with simple yet elegant decor and soft lighting that created a very inviting atmosphere without feeling oppressive. Check-in was seamless. The front desk staff were polite, friendly, and communicated patiently and thoroughly. They quickly completed the registration and thoughtfully informed us about the hotel's facilities, breakfast times, and other important details. The service was professional and appropriate, with no lengthy waits. Our deluxe city-view king room was spacious and well-arranged. The cleanliness was impeccable; every corner was spotless. The bedding was soft and clean, making for a very comfortable sleep that helped alleviate fatigue after a day of travel. The room's amenities were comprehensive and well-maintained, with stable water pressure in the bathroom, quick hot water, and a full set of toiletries. The city view from the window was expansive, allowing us to enjoy the urban landscape in our free time. The room also had excellent soundproofing, ensuring a quiet night and a great night's sleep. The hotel's facilities are also very comprehensive, and the public areas are clean and tidy. The breakfast offered a rich and varied selection, balancing both Chinese and Western dishes. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were spot-on, catering to various dietary preferences. The restaurant service was attentive, and dishes were replenished promptly. We also enjoyed walking around the hotel's beautifully landscaped grounds, which provided great photo opportunities. As a couple, the atmosphere here was just right – not overly noisy, yet not dull or boring. The hotel's attention to detail was evident throughout, reflecting thoughtful management. We encountered no frustrating issues during our stay. Both the quality of the facilities and the staff's service truly lived up to the Sheraton brand standards. If I travel to Zhoushan again, I would still prioritize staying at the Greentown Sheraton and would gladly recommend this hotel to friends visiting Zhoushan. It's an excellent choice for couples, business travelers, or families on a short vacation.

The experience of traveling to Zhoushan in spring is really great. I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel. The service was very warm and the environment was very clean and tidy. I could see the sea from the room. The scenery was beautiful when I walked around nearby. I got up in the morning and went to the first floor to have breakfast, which was also very delicious. I especially recommend the seafood noodles, which is a local specialty and highly recommended.
