Great Service, Lovely Breakfast — but Room Noise and In-Room Dining Could Improve I recently stayed at the Thompson Houston and overall had a great experience, especially thanks to the excellent service. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Their attention to detail really made me feel welcomed, and I was touched when they surprised me with a graduation cake — a thoughtful gesture I truly appreciated. The hotel breakfast was a highlight. The food was fresh and well-prepared, and once again, the service stood out. Dining in the morning felt like a treat thanks to the welcoming atmosphere. That said, there were a few downsides that affected my stay. The room was quite noisy, even late into the night. It was hard to relax or fall asleep with the amount of outside noise coming through. Also, I ordered in-room dining on two occasions. On the first day, everything was great. However, the next day the fries were noticeably soggier, the salad was just a bowl of greens with six tiny avocado cubes, and — most concerning — the aioli on the side looked like it had already been used. Overall, Thompson Houston left a positive impression on me, mostly due to its exceptional staff and quality breakfast. I hope they can improve the soundproofing and ensure consistency in their in-room dining service.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their kindness and professionalism. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The facilities were excellent, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The location was also ideal, making it easy to explore the city. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

I don’t know why this hotel has so many bad reviews. I just stayed here with my toddler and it was perfect for us. It was very clean. The rooms were a great size and the location was perfect. The room was decorated so cute. We loved it. The only negative thing I will say was that the elevator was very slow and only one of them weren’t. But other than that, I would definitely stay at Rusk house again

Had our ”booked hotel” tell us upon arrival that they were closed due to still not having power restored post Beryl. They just did not notify us until we got to facility. So, that forced us to try and find a room for 3 immediately. Le meridien came to the rescue and had a very nice double queen room available. The place is beautiful staff was extremely nice and helpful: from the valet to front desk check in!

A very good hotel, clean, well-equipped, and reasonably priced. There are many restaurants and shopping malls nearby, which is very convenient. The only thing is that the parking fee of $50 is more expensive. Facilities: good Health: good Good environment good service

My experience here at The Sam is always amazing. The staff is very welcoming, knowledgable, and they take the time to get to know you. Staying here makes me feel like I don't even want to leave after being here for a weekend or a night. Facilities are clean and highly operable as well. All in all for my wife and I we give this place a 10/10. I book the same room every time we want to get away, and for this holiday season we decided to get rid of the kids and enjoy ourselves!

The overall stay was ok. However the bar being closed over the Weekend was very poor. Pool closed because of seasonal issue. There were hardly any staff members around for any assistance. WiFi was there but not explained anywhere. I now understand why President Trimp wants to change the water pressure for showers. That should be called a rain mist washing facility, not really a shower. Once in a while the elevator did not work. The price was ok. It was generally very quiet. I would come again. Just would nor expect anything extraordinary.

Stayed at this little gem for one night found it last minute before my trip to Houston I really liked the decor of the hotel it’s also in a great location, I tried to check in an hour early and that didn’t go as planned other than that valet parking the restaurant and room was well worth it

An incredibly healing and worthwhile stay that I'd revisit countless times! I specifically chose this hotel for my trip, and my expectations were completely exceeded after checking in! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and proactively offered assistance. Check-in was incredibly efficient, and they patiently answered all my questions about local attractions, even providing a thoughtful local guide card. I immediately felt a strong sense of genuine hospitality. The room I booked was surprisingly clean and tidy. The bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, feeling like I was sinking into a cloud. The soundproofing was excellent; I heard absolutely no outside noise at night, allowing me to get a peaceful night's sleep after a long day. The room was fully equipped with everything I needed: a smart toilet, high-speed Wi-Fi, and an HD TV. The bathroom had a well-designed wet/dry separation, and the hot water supply was stable with just the right temperature. The toiletries had a subtle, pleasant scent and felt of good quality. The hotel breakfast was a fantastic surprise! The variety was extensive, with Chinese congee, noodles, Western bread and coffee, fresh fruit, and exquisite desserts – everything you could wish for. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, providing a truly satisfying energy boost. In the evening, sitting on the hotel terrace, enjoying the breeze and the city nightscape with a special drink recommended by the front desk, was incredibly relaxing. The location is also superb. It's just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, surrounded by numerous shopping malls and restaurants, making it super convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. During check-out, the staff even proactively asked about my stay experience, and these thoughtful details made me feel especially welcome. Whether for a business trip or a leisure vacation, this hotel is an excellent choice. I've already recommended it to my friends, and I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit!

Mainly because the restaurant breakfast variety is too simple, I don't understand why the buffet breakfast bill is automatically calculated as a tip, and the restaurant does not serve lunch, there are no restaurants within one kilometer of the surrounding area, which is a bit inconvenient. Although the room facilities look rudimentary, health, environment and front desk service are OK.
