4-Star Hotels in Chicago

The hotel is located in the Loop area, with a relatively high safety factor. The location is excellent, close to the Chicago River, and it is very convenient for boat trips. The hotel service is OK, and they do not actively provide toiletries, but you can ask the front desk to provide them. The explanation given by the hotel is: the price with breakfast allows customers to cancel the reservation at any time a few hours before check-in, which only gives you the right to cancel the reservation. This is the only unpleasant point of the stay. I stayed for 5 nights and spent nearly 6,000 yuan to buy this breakfast. Although the solution provided by Ctrip is a drop in the bucket, it is more important to be in a good mood when you go out, so I just give up. The staff were amazing so I want everyone to know that part. This is not the front desk staff. Now on to the bad…. The rooms are not clean. I dislike having to say this. But it’s facts. When walking in the room- first thing we notice is a huge pretty fresh stain on floor that screamed puke. It was attempted to be cleaned but the orange stain was disgusting. The windows were smudged. The glass tables had finger prints all over. The walls had dried splashes of who knows what and edges around the room at knee high were full of dust. Soap was left in shower and the floor when the door was opened and closed was disgusting. No liners in garbage cans. The front desk was very understanding and switched us rooms. Problem was it was a downsize. We lived through it but will all the hotels we have stayed in while in the city - (dozens- as we are only 2 hours away and like to stay at different places) this one unfortunately we will not be returning too.

Excellent location. The staff were very friendly. The only downside was the breakfast; even though it states you've booked breakfast, when you arrive, you only get credit to use at the restaurant, and the credit isn't enough for a full breakfast. Plus, they serve very few people at a time, so you have to wait to eat. On our last day, we had to wait an hour.

Overall, I had a very good stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, and I really liked the filtered water station on our floor. It had several options and was very convenient. Guest services were excellent. Anytime we made a request, they handled it quickly and professionally. After the first night, housekeeping took our towels but didn’t replace them, so we had to call and ask for more. Thankfully, after that, we didn’t have any other towel issues. Housekeeping overall was a bit different than what I’m used to. They made the beds and handled the bathroom by emptying the trash, picking up dirty towels, and refilling tissues, but they didn’t take out the trash in the main room. Since we had a lot of takeout, that trash piled up pretty quickly. They also didn’t replenish items like used tea bags or glassware, which would’ve been helpful. We also had an issue with the fridge. It stayed warm for the first few days until we realized it hadn’t been turned on. Once we figured that out, it worked fine, but it would’ve been nice if it had been checked before we arrived. The hotel is in a beautiful location, which added to the overall experience. Despite the few small issues, the staff was friendly and responsive, and the positives definitely outweighed the negatives. I would absolutely book with them again!

Excellent location right in downtown Chicago, close to most attractions including the Bean. Clean and spacious rooms and clean baths. Would stay again. Excellent value for money.

The room was decent, with a hostel-style size and decor that felt just right. The lobby and common areas were quite comfortable. The best part was definitely the central location, making it easy to get anywhere. I was really satisfied, and it offered good value for money.

Parking is cheap enough, $43 for 2 days. Staff are nice and friendly. I asked for not Cleanness of the room is well, but the room design is a bit weird, long walk from washroom to the bed ;p Not enough bright for the room but it’s fine for stay. Rooms distance is quite closed, and doors are not sound-proofing.

I've never had such an experience before. In my whole life I barely give 2 stars feedback to property, honestly I just wanna give 1 star feedback but the residents are friendly and nice that why I add one more star for them. The location is really convenient, room setting is super clean and organization. However, the black old lady who works at front desk is really mean and rude, she tried to bully me when I was checking in. Her service attitude likes she's guest I'm staff, and I owed her money, too. After check in my mood is really down, so I can't get any reason is why I pay almost $400 a night come here to get treatment like that. If you come to check Chicago I won't recommend this hotel for, or if you like the hotel but don't come to check in around 11am-1pm on Saturday！

A wonderful hotel, located in the city center. The beach is a 5-minute walk away, which is important to me. The hotel staff was friendly. The room was very beautiful, clean, and equipped with all the amenities. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The view from the windows was amazing; I admired the city at night. I would happily stay at the hotel again on my next trip.

I was to pay 117 at check in per room. Hotel made me par 285 for something I didn’t have time to use which was tickets to attractions and that fee included a fee for checking out. ..49 a room for coupons snd 65 per room check out fee. Our car was too tall for the 85.00 a night parking but the garage at the corner only charged 58.00 a night. I wouldn’t recommend driving downtown Chicago unless you like being stressed out. I’m asking trip.com to reimburse the difference between the 117 and 185.
