4-Star Hotels in Otaru

Best hotel of my trip. The service was impeccable and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Everything is so thoughtful. The food was excellent and the room is huge. The onsen was awesome and looks beautiful

Facilities: It's a very old hotel, but fairly well-maintained. Hygiene: Generally average. Environment: Excellent location, right across from the canal. It's an easy downhill walk from the train station if you have luggage. The reverse is quite strenuous. A taxi ride is just the minimum fare (700). Service: The breakfast is plentiful and seafood-friendly.

Such a cozy place! Perfect for a group of 7 ppl👍🏻 There almost everything you need in the apartment! Clean and warm☺️ Although the bed could be a bit softer, but it’s acceptable👌🏻 everything else is perfect😁 recommended to anyone wants to come to 小樽 Otaru ‼️💯

Otaru is definitely worth a one-night stay. There are three shopping streets, not just the single few-hundred-meter canal often mentioned in travel guides. The Sankaku Seafood Market to the left of the station looks much more appetizing than many other places. Heavy snowfall actually makes it less ideal for exploring all of Otaru. The hotel offers a candlelight performance at night, which sets a romantic mood. Paying an extra 200 for that isn't unreasonable. Hotel downside: The room has a lot of motion-sensor lights. If you get up half-asleep at night, they suddenly all switch on, making it as bright as day. You can't turn them off; you just have to wait for them to go out on their own.

Terrible service! On a snowy day, they kept saying there was no transportation, but I clearly saw the Line 13 bus passing by. I don't recommend staying here. Plus, their English isn't good, making communication difficult.
