4-Star Hotels in Windermere Town

It's not far from the station, about a 7-8 minute walk. The room isn't large, and the soundproofing is so-so, but everyone is very considerate. The location is quiet, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also good.

The Lake District is home to many beautiful B&Bs, and ours is one of them. The room even comes with cotton swabs and pads, as well as a glass jewelry box. Breakfast, ordered a day in advance, is prepared by the owner himself and is both exquisite and hearty. The only downside was that it was a bit hot during our two nights there, and there was no air conditioning. There might be a fan, but we couldn't find one...

Rum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself. We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too. We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful. After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks. We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

You can see the small courtyard of the lake, the service is warm and thoughtful, and the health is very good. You can have dinner and drink in the store. Very warm. It was rainy when we arrived, so we could hangout in the hotel and not afraid of wind and rain. You can see the lake and the snowy mountains on a sunny day. Breakfast is semi-buffet, you can order a fresh meal, I recommend french toast. We saw two rabbits running outside at breakfast.

1. The location of the hotel is very good. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the cruise ship terminal. There are many restaurants nearby and the accommodation is very convenient. The room is large and there is a living room, unexpected, but the living room side is on the bedside, next to the street, sooner or later, some noisy, especially the UK speed is generally faster, pay attention to it. Breakfast is prepared in advance bread yogurt cereal milk, some in the refrigerator, some in the locker, do not have too much expectations. 2. If you come by car, you will need a parking card with the front desk, which costs £3 a day. There are unlimited parking. There are several places to park. It is actually very convenient. When you leave, you can go to the parking lot to drive first, and put the key and parking card at the front desk when you come back.

The hotel is conveniently located 6-7 minutes from the station and lake area, making it easy to access boats and buses. The hotel's environment is pleasant, but honestly, the rooms are quite average. The carpet was a bit dirty, and there were multiple stains on the sofa. The bathroom only had a small bottle of shampoo, no shower gel, but there was a small bar of soap. However, the breakfast included with the room was surprisingly good. The à la carte main courses were very English and definitely worth praising. Just for the breakfast alone, I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located directly across from Lake Windermere, nestled on a hillside. There are many small rabbits hopping around, and flocks of sheep peacefully grazing on the grassy slopes next to the hotel. You can also find plenty of blackberries in the nearby fields, which are quite tasty. The external environment is absolutely beautiful, with lots of lavender and other flowers in the hotel's courtyard, where plump bees busily fly around collecting nectar. On the hillside overlooking the road, there are several swings facing Lake Windermere for guests to enjoy, offering panoramic views of the lake just across the way. Next to the swings, there are a few apple trees bearing fruit. Lazily swinging here makes you feel like the whole world slows down. Our room, the Hazel room, was quite spacious, featuring a large bed (I'm not sure if it was two single beds pushed together or one with two mattresses) and a sofa bed. The bathroom was also very large, with both a shower and a bathtub. There aren't many restaurants near the hotel, but fortunately, the hotel's restaurant is decent, and the prices are comparable to other establishments. For public transport, you're reliant on buses, which aren't very frequent. We initially wanted to go to the town and the Lake District National Park, but as it was already afternoon and we missed a bus, we decided to give up. Instead, we explored the area around the hotel and enjoyed some slow time on the swings, which was also a great experience.

Hotel very nice grounds fabulous room very spacious in quiet part of hotel I took Ill during the night the hotel staff were amazing the next day I had to go to hospital in Lancaster to get checked over hotel staff showed paramedics to our room .on return from hospital hotel staff couldn't do enough for us I would highly recommend the hotel outstanding customer service.

This hotel is located on a small hill in the Lake Windermere area. The courtyard is charming, the rooms are large, and the facilities are excellent. The service is also very good, and the breakfast is delicious. I really liked this hotel; it's worth staying at, and the price is reasonable for a hotel.
