Worst hotel, bar none. Such an expensive room costs only 2,000 yuan, and the patio room I stayed in was the only one, which is a complete form of discrimination. We loved the location and the facility. It is beautiful. Everyone was nice, but they seemed short staffed on the 2 nights we were there. The dinner meal was not good, but the breakfast was excellent.

A gem of a place. Tucked away just outside Bowness this hotel is beautiful. Check in was very quick and efficient. We were early but our room was ready which was a real bonus.
We had a family room which was spacious with all the amenities you would expect and don’t always get.
We were at a family get together so didn’t dine at the restaurant in the evening. We had breakfast which was absolutely delicious and kept us going for the rest of the day!
The staff were all really friendly and helpful. A great find.

Fabulous hotel…so unique and quirky. Lots of history to read, as once owned by Beatrix Potter. Decor amazing and overall loved the hotel.
