3-Star Hotels in Matara

This homestay is really beautiful. Although deep in the alley, the arrangement is very intimate. The front desk can help call the tutu car and go to the restaurant near the beach. The whole hotel is right by the canal, there are different birds on the balcony, and wild peacocks visit. Facilities and equipment are also very new. The only fly in the ointment is that it is very close to the canal. If it rains at night, the rain is really loud. There will be bugs visiting the room, but the flaws are not concealed, and the accommodation experience is great.

Melissa Beach Villas is worth every penny. The service from the staff is impeccable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very well decorated. Everything you would need is supplied within the room. The grounds are lovely with 2 pools. One is fresh water and the other salted. We celebrated our drivers birthday with a traditional Sri Lankan dinner menu which was was delicious. We requested a cake with a candle and the staff delivered as required. We dined out under the gazebo which was lovely with the sound of the waves and a cool breeze. Breakfast was superb and so very tasty. I would rate a 12/10 if this was possible. Thank you for an enjoyable stay

Asaya Sands is a wonderful accomodation. The rooms are clean, air condition with all the amenities you require. The gardens are well maintained and level of service is top notch. The food is unbelievably perfect from breakfast lunch and dinner. The staff are amazing and very responsive to anything you require. If you wish to relax around the pool or just sit on the beach and watch the waves roll in, a great place to relax after a day of touring the area. The ambience of the hotel is 10/10

Four people booked two rooms. This one is on the first floor. The facilities are average, but they are air-conditioned. They ordered the whale watching boat ticket from the boss the next day. The ticket was handed to the driver. The driver changed the cruise ship and made a difference.

A mini hotel with a very pleasant family couple of managers. Rooms are spacious, with air conditioning and fan, large shower rooms. There are balconies on the second floor.A delicious breakfast, 14 days of repeated none. Located on a hill, so the ocean is always light breeze. A little far from the center, so quiet, monkeys and pawlines run. Three beaches with different infrastructure, two family cafes with local home kitchens and juices are available on foot. We really liked it.

Good location. It is in beach road and plenty of options to eat outside. Everything is in walkable distance. We had sea view room which gave a beautiful start to the day in early morning. The only thing that troubled me was there was no elevator hence I had to take the luggage through stairs to 2nd floor. The owner helped me as well to carry the luggage. I would definitely recommend this place for your stay as it provides a good atmosphere. They have a kitchen for your self cooking where you can prepare your own food. What an amazing place to stay! 1000% recommend , quite street but close enough for all the good places and the beach ! Absolutely amazing stuff , so nice and friendly ! Big yard in front of the hotel , huge private rooms with balcony and also nice comfortable dorm rooms with big comfortable beds ! Your choice which one to stay in ! Very nice cafe at the hotel too , with the best barista and very yummy food ! Such a friendly atmosphere , feels like home , definitely will be back ! Thank you so much for wonderful experience !

Sameera and family were wonderful hosts. Good communication and nice big rooms with balcony space. The fresh breakfast each day was lovely. It was a wholesome stay. A bit of a way out of the town so do consider that but sameera has a tuk tuk or you can flag one from the main road. Or you can walk 40 minutes which I did a few times there are yoga places and good restaurants nearby. Its good for long term or short term stays.

Nice hotel with comfy beds and large rooms close to the surf with caring service. Stayed here for 2 weeks to surf in morning and evening sessions at Weligama and work remote (online) during the day. Hotel gave me all i needed (comfy beds, desk, balcony, generous breakfast). The hotel chef makes a good fish curry. Service was always friendly and I can see they make effort.

Excellent location. Quite nearby to mirissa harbour and weligama. Liked the property. They arranged a candle lit dinner setting nearby beach as it was my honeymoon on request for no additional charges. Liked the beach, the swimming facilities and the buffet for dinner as well as breakfast. Arranged breakfast box as i had to go on whale watching and would have missed my breakfast. Very nice staff. Only thing they can improve is a bit quick on service as we had to call multiple times for getting our room cleaned.
