There were 9 people in our family, including 4 elders and me, who drove from Xi'an to Yulin and booked 5 cave-dwelling double rooms at Sister Lian's house. Unexpectedly, the weather was not good. After arriving at Ganquan, we found that there was a level 7 gale, it was cloudy and rainy, and the temperature dropped to 10 degrees. We suddenly decided to cancel our plan to visit the Grand Canyon that day and drive directly to our next stop, Yan'an. At this time, we had already given up the prepaid deposit (after all, Ctrip indicated that it was non-cancellable, and Lian Jie also sent a WeChat message at noon saying that she had already bought the dishes we had reserved for dinner). Unexpectedly, after learning that we wanted to cancel the reservation, Sister Lian immediately refunded the deposit in full without saying a word; when I was still hesitating whether to receive the refund, Sister Lian called me three times in a row to ”threaten me” that she would continue to harass me until I received the refund. In the end, our whole family decided to stay one night at Sister Lian’s house on the way back to Xi’an. Three days later, on a sunny afternoon, we returned to Ganquan again. When we drove into a slightly barren village and walked into the narrow path leading to her yard, the sanitary conditions and environment of this homestay still made me somewhat uneasy. But when I saw Sister Lian’s brilliant smile and walked into the cave she had carefully prepared, all my worries disappeared in an instant. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the cleanest homestay I have ever seen. The decoration is simple, with two 2-meter beds, clean bedding/bath towels, empty suite, bathroom heater and water heater. What I find most incredible is the marble floor of the B&B. On this loess plateau with flying sand, it can be cleaned spotlessly by Sister Lian (cleaner than the floor of my home in Shanghai). For dinner, we enjoyed 8 dishes and 1 soup specially prepared by Sister Lian according to our taste requirements, plus the big rooster she raised. The whole family was very satisfied with the taste. After dinner, we sat together in Sister Lian’s yard, drinking wine and chatting with Sister Lian about family matters (this night was definitely the happiest night of our trip). The cave was very quiet at night, and we didn’t hear the crowing of the big rooster raised by Sister Lian in the morning (which made us very puzzled). Lian Jie’s family has a total of 6 cave dwellings, one of which is for her own use. It is located in a small village 2 kilometers behind the entrance of Ganquan Grand Canyon Scenic Area. This location is particularly inconspicuous, because most tourists will definitely choose the larger Xia Siwan County 2/3 kilometers before the scenic area or some cave homestays at the entrance of the scenic area. If you want to find a relatively quiet and tidy small homestay and experience the sincerity, simplicity and enthusiasm of the rural people in northern Shaanxi, then Lianjie is definitely your best choice.

San Mao and Xiao Yan, a friendly and helpful husband and wife team, owners of the hotel, served as our tour guides. San Mao expertly led us to the most captivating sights, while Xiao Yan provided valuable insights and answered our queries. Their culinary skills shone through as we savored our meals at their restaurant. They also offered wild honey, a delightful treat that her father had discovered in a tree. The hotel’s prime location near the town entrance, ticketing counters, and tour coach embankment made it an ideal choice. The rooms were clean, bright, and spacious, providing a comfortable stay.

Environment: It's a genuine cave dwelling. Because it's located in a village, the journey is a bit rustic. The owner called ahead to remind us, which made the experience more enjoyable and allowed us to appreciate the natural beauty. Hygiene: It can't compare to a hotel. Being right outside the door, it's dusty and there are bound to be some insects. Those with a strong aversion to dirt should be cautious and avoid this option. Facilities: The owner has done a great job. Everything you need is there, showing care and attention: smart controls, TV stand adjustment, fresh air system… Service: A big thumbs up to the owner – a man of few words but decisive action, clear thinking, and strong execution. No wasted words, just keeping his word. After seeing so many insincere smiles and empty pleasantries from the service industry on the road, this owner is a breath of fresh air. I have never lived in a cave, so I came to experience it. It is actually a cave-style house. It is very close to the entrance of the scenic area, and it only takes a few minutes to walk there. It is convenient to park your car at the hotel and visit the scenic area. The cleanliness is acceptable. At least the beds are new and look clean. The facilities in the room are average and sufficient, but you can't expect the same as in a big hotel. Eating is quite convenient. The boss can cook whatever you want and you don’t have to go around. The dinner tasted OK, not particularly delicious but not bad either, just OK. Breakfast is 10 yuan per person, simple, and the fried side dishes are more appetizing, I like it a little more.

We booked the Hanting Hotel for our trip to Hukou Waterfall with our child. The room was clean and bright, the bedding was so comfortable that our child fell asleep immediately, and the heating was so strong it felt like the warm sunshine of northern Shaanxi had been brought into the room. Surprisingly, the hotel had a screen mirroring feature, which was very nice! There's a local food street downstairs, and the hotel breakfast was quite good, with noodles and steamed buns, which our child enjoyed very much. The lobby was spacious and airy, making it a comfortable place for our family to wait for our bus and relax. Our comfortable stay made the view of Hukou Waterfall even more spectacular! Especially considering its proximity to Hukou, it's the perfect hotel for a trip to Hukou.

I booked in a hurry before the festival. When I checked in at the front desk, I found that I had booked less than 1 day. The hotel was very helpful to add 1 day according to the booking price. After I checked in, I found that the hotel hardware was relatively new. The room was quite large. The decoration style was modern. The bathroom was a smart toilet. The shower water was very good. Although it is adjacent to the road, the double-layer window glass sound insulation effect is good, does not affect the rest, the hotel location is convenient, there is a bus stop to the center of the city at the door, a few minutes walk from Yan'an Station, convenient for luggage storage in the morning, train departure in the afternoon, in addition, the hotel service is very thoughtful, Recommended travel options

The room is not big, but it is hygienic and has basic facilities. It is right opposite the train station. It is very convenient to take the train at night. It is better not to ask for a room of 120 a night. However, the air conditioner leaked within an hour after moving in. , all our bags got wet, and we temporarily changed rooms. We only stayed for three hours in total, and then took the train. We temporarily rented a house opposite the train station just to have a good rest. After all this time, why should we rest? . Originally, Ctrip had the right to upgrade the room when booking, but they told us that we could only upgrade to a standard room with a window. We originally booked a room with a window, so what is the upgrade? I'm speechless... I only stayed for three hours, and I didn't bother to talk to them. I just made do with it, but I was not satisfied with the overall service and accommodation.

The hotel is in a village about 5 kilometers away from the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor. It seems that the whole village has been remodeled by folklore. The hotel is surrounded on a second floor with a patio and a terrace in the yard. Suitable for vacation and leisure living. The room is newly renovated, clean and tidy, quiet and comfortable at night. There is also a free breakfast, because I left early in the morning and didn't catch up with breakfast. The overall price is very high, very good, it is recommended.

Very good location, nice fancy hotel. I strongly recommend to book a room on Trip in advance, because the prices are higher, if you book at the reception. Shops and restaurants nearby.

If you are a foreigner I do not recommend it in terms of cleanliness. For a premium business suite, it is not up to par. There is an extreme amount of mosquitoes. Even with multiple layers of mosquito spray I was bitten over 30 times in my room (i counted). The private washroom also has a foul smell, like sewage. The room size is good enough, but note there is no AC, just a large fan.
