2-Star Hotels in Putian

We booked a terrace room and balcony room for 6 people, including 2 over 60 years old and 2 over 70 years old. Because we felt good, we decided to stay one more day. The off-season gave us the opportunity to improvise and ”customize” :P The B&B has a good location, close to the beach, the central district, the Mazu Ancestral Temple, and the Tianfei Hometown. The public areas, rooms, and supplies in the rooms are clean and tidy. You can drink tea in the public area and enjoy the scenery on the terrace. The boss's family is kind, enthusiastic and thoughtful. We chartered an additional sightseeing bus for the boss, which made it convenient and less tiring for the elderly to travel. The boss and his wife prepared breakfast for us, and considering the elderly's physical condition, they also helped us recommend restaurants, introduce scenic spots, rent small electric motorcycles, etc. Since we wanted to cook our own meals, the boss took us to the vegetable market. We borrowed the kitchen and cooked delicious seafood. Afterwards, we washed the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. We felt as comfortable as at home. Very satisfied with the homestay, recommended!

Originally, I had no habit of evaluation, but I felt that the hotel here was very gentle to me, because I was a student, the first time I came to travel by myself, there was no parent to accompany me, but after I finished talking to the boss, he was very gentle and served me one-on-one. Anyway, he taught me where I wouldn't. He wouldn't say that he was particularly impatient or something. 😭 The front desk lady here is very cute. When I went, she told me the room number very gently, took me up, and helped me carry my luggage. Oops, I am really shy, a very cute little sister, I really hope to meet her again next time, I have checked the sheets of their homestay, they are all replaced in time (because I have a little cleanliness) and some necessities, such as paper towels, I also want to have a particularly thoughtful service. I will not have a few packs of paper to die or live like my previous hotel. The boss is also very enthusiastic. When I heard that I was a foreigner, I was very enthusiastic to introduce me to the attractions, and then told me the ticket price. I was extremely satisfied with my stay at the hotel! The room was spotless, and the bathroom had no odor. As someone with a cleanliness obsession, I found it extremely comfortable. It's clear the owner has put a lot of effort into hygiene. There was also a projector for watching TV, a washing machine on the first floor, and a laundry and drying area behind the kitchen. The location is centrally situated on the island, making it convenient to go anywhere. Services included: electric scooter rentals at reasonable prices, sand-digging tools, and free pier shuttle service.

My stay at Best Wishes was absolutely wonderful—it’s hands down the cleanest hotel I’ve visited in China! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the spotless rooms and well-maintained facilities. The attention to cleanliness was exceptional, making my stay incredibly comfortable. The views from the hotel were breathtaking— But what truly made my experience special was the staff. They were incredibly hands-on, friendly, and went out of their way to assist with anything I needed. Their hospitality made me feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Meizhou. Most importantly, I haven’t slept this well in a long time! The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and everything was just perfect for a restful night. Location - next to Wanda Plaza Shopping malls. There is a bus stop in front of the building. Night market street food, a lot of food behind the building. Cleanliness - must request to clean up & no issues. Safety - unfortunately our unit on the 10th floor was clutter with thrown away old furniture at the lobby, there was even used paint & thinner (flammable) in the corridor as well as piles of rubbish at both side of our entrance making it a potential fire hazard. The Escape route ‘Exit’ staircase were blocked by these clutters. Look at photos taken. Hopefully MCST would look into this.

The hotel is in a good location, close to the pier, good scenery, you can see the sea view through the window, the decoration is simple and generous, clean and hygienic, absolutely super cost-effective! The boss is enthusiastic, responsible for the pier pick-up, breakfast is also good, bring the family over, feel the warmth and comfort of home, recommend friends to come!

I had the best time at this homestay in Meizhou Island. The family that runs it is the kindest and most helpful person and makes me feel welcome as a foreigner. I washed my clothes for free, and on the day I left, they personally picked me up at another location and drove me to the dock at the last minute. The location of the homestay is also very strategic, close to the beach, great fresh fruit and vegetable markets, local specialties and bus stops on all the main routes on the island. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will definitely return if I have the chance.

The room had a foul odor from the drainpipes, and the telephone was from the 1990s and incompatible. There was also loud karaoke noise at night. Hopefully, things will improve in the future!

Since we didn't know the time and route of where we wanted to go, the boss was very patient and helped us check. The room was well-equipped and the sanitation was very good. It was cost-effective.
