2-Star Hotels in Chenzhou

First, the conclusion—this is the best hostel I've ever stayed in, so I stayed for almost half a month! 【Overall Environment】Very new and clean. The owner has some design background, and the overall feel is minimalist and aesthetically pleasing. 【Facilities】One room even has two separate bathrooms and showers, which is incredibly luxurious and definitely deserves extra points! 【Cleanliness】Very clean. As you can see in the pictures, the lobby and rooms are bright and spotless, with no unpleasant odors. 【Bed and Air Conditioning】The mattress is very soft, not cheap bedding, and feels great against the skin. You don't even need to put on a sheet cover, which is very convenient! The air conditioning is also very powerful, yet it's surprisingly quiet, not disturbing your rest—better than many five-star hotels! 【Entertainment Facilities】The pool table is relatively new. I played a couple of games there every day—so comfortable! Also, there's even a free Switch on the second floor—can you believe it?! 【Food】The owner was incredibly welcoming, recommending many restaurants on the first day and even picking us up and dropping us off. None of them were bad! Especially the **Shell Boxed Meals—yyds! I ate there for a week! [Fun] The owner is quite playful; he brought a drone to play with us. A few of us went to a small canyon with Danxia landforms. This place was even more interesting than Xiaodongjiang, which I visited later, because it was undeveloped and more pristine! [Other] The owner also sang karaoke with us and introduced me to a song called ”Post-Rock” (or ”Slow Rock,” I can't quite remember). The song was fun, but it didn't do justice to the owner's personal charm. His goal this year seems to be skydiving or paragliding; I wish him success! [Summary] Danxia red cliffs reflected in the setting sun, Chenzhou is like a dream, no need to return! Mugen Youth Hostel, definitely worth a stay!

The hotel is clean, new and really worth the price. If you come with friends/ driving i would recommend the hotel thou. Otherwise It's in the middle of nowhere so make sure you stock up your snacks before coming. Its 22km from the train station which cost me 70rmb taxi to get here, 10km from the lake area. The owners were friendly and kind, offer to help bring my luggage up and down stair, also offer me free noodle for breakfast. walking distanct is less the 1km but you will need to cross the road into the other side first before walking. I didnt understand the owner's explaination so ended up walk 2km, just found that out taking the taxi back😂. overall that was a nice experience.

I went with my friend and our stay was amazing! The room was very spacious, with two beds, and very clean. The place is located very close to the entrance of the main attraction park, and on the side you can also find unofficial hiking paths that are popular on social media. The highlight was the staff, who had the best attitude and were super friendly and helpful. You can also have a brilliant breakfast for only 10 yuan, which will give you energy for a full day of hiking. Totally recommend this place — it’s a 10/10! 我和朋友一起去的，这次入住体验非常棒！房间非常宽敞，有两张床，而且非常干净。酒店位置离主要景点入口非常近，旁边还有一些在社交媒体上很火的非官方徒步小路。最让人印象深刻的是这里的工作人员，态度特别好，非常友善又乐于助人。这里还有很棒的早餐，只需10元，就能为你一整天的徒步提供充足的能量。强烈推荐这个地方——绝对是10/10！

It's very close to the east gate of Mangshan's Five Finger Peak, perfect for a one-night stay before heading out for a hike the next morning! The rooms are decent, and there's a restaurant where you can order food, which is delicious. The B&B is nestled in the mountains, so the air is quite good, and you can enjoy some fresh air in the rest area at the entrance.

The room had great natural light and was very clean. Most importantly, the location was fantastic, very close to rafting, hot springs, and other scenic spots—only a kilometer or two away. Dining options were also convenient. The owner was very welcoming and helpful, even providing information on sightseeing routes and shuttle bus options. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.

Pros-No far from Chenzhou train station, two bus stops by public buses and walked about 350 metre to reach the hotel. We arrived at Chenzhou West High Speed Train station (which is far away from the city centre) from Guangzhou and there is regular public bus plying the route between the two train stations. So transportion in between is easy and cheap with two Yuan bus fare per person. If you do not have the bus apps for digital payment, prepared One dollar Chinese Yuan note or coins before hand to pay in cash. Cons-No lift and registration for the stay may take longer for foreigners as the computer system is not updated for the latest Visa free countries.

The hotel is in a good location and convenient to travel, the room facilities are well-equipped, the front desk service is warm, you can store your luggage for free, free laundry, tea and sour plum soup in the lobby, value-added service roast sweet potatoes, popcorn is delicious and intimate, the hotel has its own parking lot, there are charging piles inside, Very convenient and worth five-star recommendation.

The location is excellent, opposite the Xiaodongjiang No. 2 observation deck, the boss and his wife are enthusiastic,  help lift the luggage upstairs. Dinner is provided, and a fish with a mouth is very fresh and tender. It is a bit damp. There is no door or curtain in the rain room. The water flows all over the place. Pay attention to non-slip; you can use  disposable bath towels to dry the water on the ground as much as possible to prevent slipping and falling.

Overall it's pretty good, the environment is pretty good and the price is affordable. fine
