Guest UserThe facilities were great and very comfortable! My only slight disappointment was that it was a mixed-gender dorm. Other than that, it was wonderful to experience Grindelwald all day long. The breakfast was also delicious!

Environment: Facing the Eiger Mountain, it is very comfortable to have a leisurely dinner on the balcony. When you come down the first hill by scooter, you will pass by this hotel, so it is convenient to go upstairs to put your things down and take a rest. Just be sure to take the bus when you come here with luggage. Although it’s a 20-minute walk, it’s all uphill and it’s super tiring! !
Hygiene: Hygiene is very good. The water from the tap is direct drinking water, both hot and cold. The breakfast is good with a wide variety. There is a bicycle room downstairs.

A lovely Swiss-style hotel located perfectly on the river front in the beautiful Interlaken Snowy mountains viewable from the bedroom window really made it a picturesque setting. Although visiting in the warmer months would be just as good. We were warmly welcomed by an enthusiastic employee, a Canadian woman who’s name we didn’t get. She made recommendations on restaurants, which were amazing, and also places to go and visit in the surrounding region. She even checked the live cameras on top of the mountains to provide us with weather conditions - amazing customer service. We highly recommend taking a train to Lauterbrunnen followed by the gondola up to Murren - the place is stunning and the views are incredible! Breakfast was enjoyable and included fresh bread from the bakery over the road, homemade Bircher muesli and the best green tea I’ve ever had! A breathtaking trip which has us wanting to go back as soon as possible!

Guest UserThis hotel was honestly a really good value for the price. The location is very convenient — less than a 5-minute walk from the train station, and there are also bus stops nearby, so getting around was very easy.
It is in a quiet neighborhood with a nice atmosphere. Opening the window in the room, you can see calm and peaceful scenery outside, which made the stay feel very relaxing.
The room and bathroom were nice, and the bathroom had a separate shower area, which was really convenient.
One thing I especially appreciated was the shared dining area. There was a place to boil water, make coffee or tea, and they also provided microwave, basic utensils and tableware. It was very useful for us since we brought some instant noodles and simple food back to the hotel at night. Haha, the selection of one British tea brand they provided here felt even more varied than what I usually see in supermarkets back in the UK.
The staff were also very kind and helpful. I accidentally lost a T-shirt there, but they contacted housekeeping for me and eventually found it. I really appreciated their help.
We stayed here for two nights, and because the hotel was fully booked for our last night in Interlaken, we moved to another hotel that was more expensive. But we still preferred this one because it felt more comfortable and practical for travelers like us.

Peaceful and enjoyable stay in an Alpine village 🏔️🇨🇭
We (3 people) chose Hotel Stern for our stay from July 25th to 28th. It's in a beautiful location, nestled among Alpine villages, about 30 minutes from Interlaken. One of the best perks of the hotel is that guests receive a free tourist travel card that can be used in Interlaken and the surrounding area.
Our room was a duplex. The upper floor had three single beds, while the lower floor featured a bathroom, toilet, a living area with a sofa, and an American-style kitchen. The room didn't have a balcony, but even though it was on the terrace level, we never had to worry about the heat. Even in July, the weather in Interlaken was so cool that we slept with a duvet at night. 😊
There's a rather steep staircase in the room, which I should point out, but it wasn't an issue for us.
I can't talk about the hotel without mentioning the owner. She is incredibly sweet, friendly, and hospitable. She greeted us personally and gave us a really enjoyable orientation filled with jokes and humor. When she asked if we needed anything in the room, we requested an electric Turkish coffee pot, but I guess our coffee pot took a little tour of Switzerland and forgot to come back. 😂☕️ Thankfully, as Turks, we were able to make our own coffee using the pot and stove in the room.
You can stay here with complete peace of mind regarding cleanliness and quietness. We were very satisfied with our stay. I definitely recommend it, especially to those who want to stay in a calm and peaceful environment in an Alpine village.
When we return to Switzerland, Hotel Stern will definitely be among our accommodation choices again. I sincerely thank them. 🇨🇭🏔️

Guest UserClose to the West Station, if you take the bus from the Jungfrau, and the bus is only two miles in an hour, but only two stations are also very fast. Although there are restaurants downstairs in the hotel, it is very quiet. It was the curtain that couldn't stop the light, and the Christmas tree outside was still lit up for a night.捂脸🤦♀️

When we found this hostel through navigation, my friends didn't believe it. They said it looked more and more like a hotel. We spent a very pleasant day here.

XiaxiaxiayiranSwitzerland is really beautiful to live in Grindelwald. This hotel apartment is generally ordinary, but the scenery is really beautiful. If you want to live in the mountains, you need to choose what traffic is. Going to the center to shop needs to take the bus. It takes only a few minutes to take the bus. If you choose to walk for about 20 minutes, it will be very dry. The hotel can cook things but there is no range hood, so we can do it on the balcony, otherwise the whole room will smell of oily smoke. But watching the beautiful scenery cook and eat is also a special experience. It is worth coming once in a lifetime! But let me go for the second time, I will choose to live in interlaken or Tuen, young people are suitable for going to places with many people, and Greendwa is enough to go back and forth on the same day alone. Staying for 7 days is a bit boring

WENYONGThe hotel is located in the hills on the edge of the town of Interlaken. It is also 5-8 minutes drive from the train station. The hotel is similar to the Youth Hostel, shared bathroom and bathroom, but it is clean. The boss knew that we were preparing for breakfast in the early morning and let us take it away. Good choice!

Hotel is a 10-15mins walk from Interlaken West station. Surrounding has quite a number of cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. It is also in a scenic part of Interlaken where you can see the mountains and the blue waters in the stream which makes for great photos. You can also spot para gliders too. If you walk along the lake you can reach Interlaken Ost station in about 20mins or so. Quite a nice walk along the river!
The hotel itself is 3-storey. Everything is pretty much self service and there is no reception/staff around - you key in a code to enter the main entrance, and there is a desktop/tablet for you to check in yourself. There is a small luggage room for you to leave your luggage inside. There is also a small common pantry with some basic electrical appliances like kettle and fridge for guests. There is no lift and you have to carry your luggage up the spiral staircase.
The room itself is small, clean and simple - just a bed, some hangers and a toilet. There is no TV. Hotel left a toblerone chocolate on the bed as a gift for us which is cute. Also found out that the owner owns a cafe around the corner (called “Spatz”) and we were given a coffee voucher which was nice. We needed some help with check in and we went to the cafe to look for the owner for help, and he kindly helped us.
