Great Service, Lovely Breakfast — but Room Noise and In-Room Dining Could Improve I recently stayed at the Thompson Houston and overall had a great experience, especially thanks to the excellent service. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Their attention to detail really made me feel welcomed, and I was touched when they surprised me with a graduation cake — a thoughtful gesture I truly appreciated. The hotel breakfast was a highlight. The food was fresh and well-prepared, and once again, the service stood out. Dining in the morning felt like a treat thanks to the welcoming atmosphere. That said, there were a few downsides that affected my stay. The room was quite noisy, even late into the night. It was hard to relax or fall asleep with the amount of outside noise coming through. Also, I ordered in-room dining on two occasions. On the first day, everything was great. However, the next day the fries were noticeably soggier, the salad was just a bowl of greens with six tiny avocado cubes, and — most concerning — the aioli on the side looked like it had already been used. Overall, Thompson Houston left a positive impression on me, mostly due to its exceptional staff and quality breakfast. I hope they can improve the soundproofing and ensure consistency in their in-room dining service.

A very satisfying stay. The hotel is in a good location, with a long corridor that can shelter from the wind and rain, and it is directly connected to the shopping center opposite, which is very convenient for eating and shopping.

Marquis Marriott is a well-known hotel brand in China. For example, how good is the one in Shanghai! But unfortunately, even a high-end brand such as Marquis Marriott is generally not feasible in the United States. It's not that it's bad, it's just that it's just qualified, similar to the domestic Atour. The lobby is quite atmospheric, a bit like a domestic Sheraton. I thought, ”Great! I finally found a hotel brand in the United States that is comparable to a domestic hotel brand.” Unfortunately, the room was small and not bright. Marquis Marriott in China is so comfortable that they don't want to leave the room. I feel that leaving a second is a waste of such a good environment, but this Marquis Marriott's room, I don't have the feeling of wanting to stay in the room. , horizontally benchmarking domestic Atour. In terms of service, there is no turndown, and everything is very formulaic when checking in. It is not impolite, but it is very cold. It feels like a cashier in a supermarket. Hotel was clean and easy to get to. I thought the bed mattress was hard but the pillows were wonderful.

Nice hotel! The bed was comfy, the room was nice and a good size, and the staff were friendly. Only docked a star because the pool hours were weird and we waited for over 15 minutes for a luggage rack for checkout and when they didn’t show we just carried it down ourselves.

Aging hotel. Great location. Garage cost is outrageously high. $25 food/beverage daily is a nice perk.

It's in the Katy neighborhood, and it's convenient for me to do business nearby. I stayed there for 4 nights in total. The price/performance ratio is also very high. The room we were given has a balcony, and we can watch the sunset.

Some Marriott locations seem to be declining over the years. This location is ok.. but it’s not the class you expect for a Marriott location. Either way, the staff was very nice and helpful.

I enjoyed staying here, our room was clean, bed was clean and super comfortable. Location worked pretty good for us. We didn’t get the chance to get in the pool but it was opened and good size pool. My puppies enjoyed it also, very friendly personnel.
