Spa Hotels in Honolulu

Really great. I felt like among luxury hotels of this caliber, the price was the most reasonable. The service was good, and the location is excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. If you're really considering it, I highly recommend it. The room is also very spacious! On our last morning, we even saw a double rainbow from the hotel balcony.

The hotel's location is excellent and very convenient. Getting around is also a breeze. Since this hotel just opened in 2025, the facilities are still in great condition.

The environment is good, the overall is satisfactory, the children are very happy. The only downside is that the bath is easy to slip in the bathtub and the water is very good. I called the front desk and said that I didn't put anything non-slip. Everything else is very satisfactory, it is a good resort hotel.

This Marriott really exceeded my expectations. I honestly didn't have high hopes since it was a bit cheaper, but I was pleasantly surprised! First, a couple of minor downsides: the room was a little small, and the mini-fridge was quite noisy; I had to unplug it to get some sleep. Everything else was great, though. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so the balconies weren't accessible, but they waived the resort fee, which was a significant saving. They have a self-service towel dispenser, which is very convenient. Plus, they offer complimentary beach chairs and bodyboards, which is a fantastic perk. The location is also excellent; you can walk to the malls and restaurants in the heart of Waikiki within 10 minutes. And the beach view right downstairs is absolutely stunning. Overall, this Marriott is much better than the Hilton Village!

During check-in, the staff mocked my lack of English, laughing and making gestures at other staff members, which I found unpleasant. While all explanations were in English, the departure was in Japanese, so I assumed they understood everything. Upon check-out, I was surprised to see a payment of $1,347.40. After returning home, I called Trip.com and they handled the matter, refunding me $1,030.61. However, they had deducted a $316.79 service charge and other charges that were not included in my travel application. The hotel only sent me a receipt by email, with no apology. The staff member who checked me in and checked me out was the same, so I assumed they knew I didn't speak English before making the payment. It was a shame that my trip was so frustratingly disrupted by the hotel's front desk service.

This beachfront hotel had a great atmosphere and allowed for a truly elegant stay. Despite a few drawbacks, my overall impression was very positive. Pros: * Excellent location (right on the beach) * Wonderful ambiance in the restaurants like Mai Tai Bar and Surf Lanai * The historic room felt very clean and full of character. Cons: * The information given at check-in was outdated (there were discrepancies between the Japanese and English versions), which meant I missed out on the hotel tour. * Some restaurant staff seemed more focused on rushing through their duties. * Noise.

I booked a Sunset Ocean View room specifically to watch the sunset from my room. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, so I only got to see it once, but it was the most amazing sunset. It was great to have a kitchen, which allowed me to cook my own meals and reheat takeout during my stay. I was a bit disappointed that there was no bathtub, only a shower, which was an oversight on my part. Some days were cool, and with only a weak-pressured shower, it felt a little cold. They didn't replace towels unless they were left on the floor, and despite leaving a note asking for more coffee and tea, they weren't restocked. I was told the sofa bed linens were in the closet, but they weren't there. I had to ask a staff member in the hallway to bring them. On the plus side, we received two complimentary bottles of water and one ice cream daily, which was a nice touch. The poke bowl shop on the first floor was also delicious. While there are shops selling groceries, they are overpriced, so the nearby ABC Store is a better option for cheaper items. The hotel's location was excellent, within walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Center and even Waikiki, which was very convenient. However, the front desk usually only had one or two staff members, and none spoke Japanese. This caused some confusion, as I didn't understand that the security fee was a deposit. Thankfully, I was able to confirm this with their customer service later. The lack of staff meant long waits whenever I had a question, which was inconvenient. Overall, the location was fantastic, and I would love to stay here again if I have the chance.

This stay was in the Rainbow Tower, and the ocean view was absolutely fantastic. The room was spacious and newly renovated, which was great. From the room, it was a short walk downstairs to the beach, pool, and the man-made lagoon. There are also restaurants right below the hotel, making breakfast very convenient. The Hilton Village is huge, with supermarkets, restaurants, and plenty of entertainment facilities, giving it a complete resort feel. However, there were a few downsides: 1. The hotel was extremely crowded. Check-in took an incredibly long time; we waited almost an hour to check in at 5 PM. 2. Since the Rainbow Tower is right by the beach, cars can't pull up directly for pick-up/drop-off. The closest drop-off point is the main reception. 3. There's a fireworks show on Fridays, but our room was on the back side (facing the parking lot, while the Waikiki Beach side was the front), so we couldn't see anything. However, for the full fireworks experience, I'd still recommend going downstairs to watch them. 4. The hotel's location is at the far end of Waikiki Beach, making it a bit of a distance for getting around. But if you're planning to just relax and enjoy the resort, it's perfect; otherwise, getting out and about can be a hassle.

We usually stay at this hotel when we're in Hawaii. The staff are all very kind and left a good impression. The rooms have been renovated and are very clean, but this time, housekeeping (towel change, etc.) wasn't done for two days. On the first day, I had to call the front desk just to get the towels changed. I also requested that the room be cleaned the next day, but it still wasn't, so I had to call again before they finally cleaned it. The cleaning staff were pleasant and left a good impression, but both rooms we booked were forgotten. They did clean them after we called a couple of times, and the location is great, so I'd still use this hotel again.

We were a bit disappointed initially with the cleanliness as there was a stain on the bed sheet upon entering the room. Thankfully, housekeeping changed it within the hour. The place is located in a central location, close to the beachfront at Waikiki, with a partnership with beachfront stores for beach equipment, as well as GoPros, sunscreen, lotion etc. that can be borrowed, included in the resort rate. However, the age of the hotel is really starting to show, it is in need of not just a touch up but an overhaul where possible. To be fair, the price, especially that paid for during this period, was a fair representation especially compared to neighbouring downtown hotels, given you do receive much more space and a kitchenette with microwave in the case of the 1 bedroom suite. However, I would say that I would have enjoyed my stay far more if at least some work was put in to modernise the space. In particular, my bathtub had peeling paint, and the colours of the room need some work.
