Casa Delfino Hotel & Spa

Every hotel staff was smiley, friendly and helpful. We received welcome snacks snd message in the room. The room was modern with air condition, high ceiling and nice amenities. Breakfast was buffet-style as and adequate. Location is very close to many shops and restaurants but without the noise. I enjoyed the deep tissue massage at their spa. Enhancement areas suggested for Room 11: shower door does not close; the queen bed was two separate single beds put together instead of one mattress, and with separate bedcover sheets instead of one queen sized bedcover sheet; a kettle would have been useful.

Overall, this is a hotel with a beautiful sea view and a comfortable vacation environment. There were many things I liked, but there's room for improvement in service consistency and some details. The hotel's biggest advantage is undoubtedly the natural sea view. The scenery is truly beautiful, and the overall environment is very comfortable, perfect for relaxing. The staff were generally polite and willing to assist with guests' needs. Breakfast was one of my favorite parts; the food was delicious and fresh, and the overall quality was good. I'd especially like to commend a staff member wearing a blue shirt and dark grey trousers. He seemed serious, but his service was actually very meticulous. He remembered that we had ordered omelets the day before, and when he saw us the next day, he proactively asked if we wanted omelets again. Although it's a small detail, remembering a guest's preference from the previous day felt very thoughtful. However, **the most disappointing aspect of this stay was also the breakfast service.** Juice and coffee need to be served by staff; it's not self-service. Several times, staff members would proactively pour or refill drinks for guests sitting next to me without asking if I also needed anything. It might not matter once, but after it happened several times, it really made me feel overlooked. Especially when compared to that very attentive staff member, the disparity in service quality between different employees became even more apparent. I believe the hotel has significant room for improvement in terms of service proactiveness and consistency. The hotel's dinner restaurant is also commendable; the food was delicious and of good quality, though the overall prices were a bit high. Regarding the room, the water pressure was excellent, making showers very comfortable, and the air conditioning was powerful. The pillows in the room were initially too high for me, but after I mentioned it to the staff the next day, they quickly helped replace them with more suitable ones, which was handled very well. A bit disappointing was the average soundproofing in the room. At night, running water and the refrigerator's operating sounds were quite noticeable, especially in quiet moments. If you are sensitive to noise, it might affect your sleep. Another issue that significantly impacted the experience was the key card problem on the day of late check-out. The hotel's willingness to provide a late check-out was a definite plus, but the key card still deactivated at 11 AM. We had just returned from swimming at the beach, still completely wet, but couldn't enter our room, so we had to go to the front desk. Reactivating the card took about 10–15 minutes, and after getting it, we returned to the room, only to find it still couldn't open the door. We had to go back to the front desk again while still wet. This whole process was quite troublesome and made me feel that the front desk's efficiency in handling problems could be improved. Overall, I really liked the beautiful sea view and environment here. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, the dinner restaurant's food was also good, the room's water pressure and air conditioning performed well, and I also encountered a very attentive and impressive staff member. **The biggest drawback was the feeling of being repeatedly overlooked during breakfast, followed by key card handling efficiency and room soundproofing.** If the hotel could make the service among different employees more proactive and consistent, I believe the overall stay experience would improve significantly.

This hotel was perfect on all aspects, the room was amazing, big very clean and well equipped. The view from the balcony and the swimming pool was brilliant! I really enjoyed the spa and the interior pool as well. The restaurant of the hotel was perfect too, the food was really good. But most importantly, the staff of the hotel was highly professional and the nicest people! All of them were very good to us and treated us so well. I include everyone in the staff including the cleaning lady who was so lovely too. All in all this might have been my best holiday in a very long time if not ever. I highly recommend this hotel! Big thank you to everyone at Lagon life spirit boutique hotel, you’ve made our stay so perfect!

The room was spacious and the hotel was super clean and extremely comfortable. Everything felt brand new and the service was really 5 star. We were happily surprised to learn that the indoor swimming pool is actually just a giant jacuzzi. We spent an hour there on our last night which was super nice. The bed is really comfortable and the place is quiet. There is a valet service for parking your car and we got welcome drinks and snacks on arrival. Thanks again for the free bottle of wine and fruit bowl as a VIP welcome gift. We really enjoyed and will come back to this hotel if we ever visit Chania again one day.

The spa - hamam, sauna and indoor pool (1m deep though?!) is the hotel’s best feature. There is no beach access though, so I went to Nea Hora and Golden beach. Rooms - too small, lack of storage space, complex buttons and unnecessarily complicated console. It was quiet even though I was given a 2nd floor room. The overall signage in the hotel is confusing too. Beds and pillows - huge and comfy. Food - excellent. Massage decent. Toiletries good. Only frontal views are of the sea, but cost 10x more! Otherwise - trash can views!😤 A la carte breakfast - too slow, you eat less, always a misunderstanding… and after you order they take away the menu… Rooftop pool - a scam! Sunbeds always occcupied and need to be booked to see the sunset 🙄 there is another rooftop on 7th floor but after 10min you want to leave, because there are no showers, a pool, toilet or a bar… Staff is young, fakely polite, too slow and not very responsive - obviously trained for certain types of guests (culturally unexperienced). So even to get a locker in the spa you had to wait to be explained how to unlock it (and pass a test?!), even though there are two people at the reception desk. My coffee capsules, sweetener, and teas were not replaced the following morning during the housekeeping visit and a used glass was not washed. The balcony pool is tiny and got a lot of fluff from the street, plus I didn’t feel comfortable using it with it being visible from the street and building right across the street. I was also called at 21:30 (I was asleep?!) to check whether I was satisfied with a complimentary 30min massage (due to the poor room view)… 🤷🏼♀️ I understand that it is a new hotel and they are trying their best but I also paid 800+€ for two nights and was frustrated during 50% of my stay… 😒 I attended a high school for tourism and hospitality, worked as a masseuse, also and worked in 5-* hotels Chania 30 years ago, but stayed in a multitude of 4-5 star hotels worldwide since. Especially in Asia where the service is top notch. Therefore, all of this is not acceptable for such a high price. Yes, the welcome drink is nice, and so is the complimentary massage, but you should do better, Hilton!

Beautiful newly renovated hotel with a modern and relaxing atmosphere. The new team is doing an amazing job, everything was very well organized and welcoming. The rooms were spotless, the food was excellent, and all the staff were wonderful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Mara, who was especially helpful and made our experience even better. We would definitely come back!
