Royal Sun
"The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with a stunning view of Chania. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail in cleanliness and design was impressive. Breakfast each morning was a delight, with a wide selection of fresh, delicious options. I would highly recommend Royal Sun hotel to anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and top-notch hospitality."
Hyperion City Hotel & Spa
"Great hotel"
Niriis Hotel
"Our stay at the Niriis Hotel was most enjoyable and the room clean and tidy. The cost is reasonable and location very handy to the local bus that takes you to Chania old town, and also the departure point for the tourist fun train. Fabulous sandy beaches are only a few minutes walk away. Owner George and the reception staff are helpful and go the extra mile if you need assistance or have any questions, on what to see and do. Tours can also be booked at the hotel. Would recommend staying here."
Hippie City Hostel
"Very thoroughly cleaned daily. Helpful staff. Good facility"
Elia Kalamaki Hotel
"Totally overpriced in every way. Very small room in a very not useful modern stile. The view was ugly cause the other houses surrounding us had terrible roofs and we where on 3 rd floor so they where right in our spot. bathroom and space in the room has an unusual and not practical installation. We had to take furniture out on the balcony for getting some space. TV channels was all German. Must say we found this room very uncomfortable ant not very useful in many ways. Light was turn on at the balcony and first after 12 pm off. Coffee machine was broken and didn’t have instructions how to use and we had to wait for the desk service next day. Cleaning was ok and a big smiling desk service also in top, the breakfast peoples here was very nice. Under our stay the fire alarm went on at 05:30 am thankfully by a mistake, but what a show out off control. Next day the whole village had power out. 4 days we stayed cause we paid so much and would didn’t like to loos time for finding a new hotel or money. This area is maximum tourist area alla Asian stile and we never found a Greek restaurant with authentic atmosphere and locals food."
Aris Boutique Hotel
"Perfect stay. Good breakfast, comfy beds, charming helpful staff. Hood restaurant recommendations. Great base for walking."
Kanso Rooms
"We really had good time in this place, it was so close to nearest beaches ( you should walk or take a bus but l did not mind) we explored different beaches and areas each day🤩 there are very cute cats 😇☺️Also owner is so helpful and very polite guy, thank you so much"
Camping Chania
"Our second year at Camping Chania in Agios Apostolis, just to the west of the city. We have our own campervan, but we usually rent one of the cabins with an attached toilet/shower and that is what we did again this year. These are lovely clean and spacious cabins and we would thoroughly recommend them as well as the ordinary pitches for campers and mobile homes, Nikos, Pedros, Costas and (young) Nikos are all extremely helpful, as is Tania, the lovely lady who runs the shop. In addition to all this, the site cafe is a real find. The head chef Stella, produces fresh food of real quality every night at prices which are incredibly reasonable. The House white is excellent and the service provided by her lovely son Angelos is a pleasure. All-in-all a very smart operation on all fronts. Andy and Liz, Liverpool, UK"
Perla Beach
"Very nice, clean and fresh accommodation. Cleaning was done every day, which was too often. Cleaning every 3rd day would be enough. Close to everything; pool, beach and Agia Marina's offerings. Nice and helpful staff. Communication between Trip.com and the accommodation broke down at check-in but the staff at the reception resolved it. A great place! Highly recommended!"

SanSal Boutique Hotel
"The room isn't huge but it's perfectly fine and very comfortable. It's clean, and the service is great. The absolute highlight of this hotel is the breakfast – it's incredibly delicious!"
Hotel Caretta Beach
"Can’t recommend this place enough. We returned here after visiting eight years ago. Lovely studios and apartments with a pool and right on the beach with a fab restaurant where you can find good home cooking and a friendly family atmosphere. Katerina has been cooking here over 10 years and is amazing. She, together with Leah, Marietta, Otto and the morning chef(whose name escapes me) are always ready with a smile and can do attitude. Nothing is too much for these wonderful staff, who work so hard to make your holiday perfect. Food is delicious and each night there is a house special. Prices are very good ranging from around €9-€14 for a meal. It’s a good size meal too. All served with a smile. Since we were last there very little has changed apart from improvements and upgrades in the rooms, and all around the hotel. Apartments are kept absolutely spotless by the housekeeping ladies, who always greet with good morning and a smile. Yiannis in reception is also super helpful, ready to assist in any way and often enquiring how the holiday is going. This hotel has a wonderful welcome for everyone and the staff go above and beyond to make a holiday relaxing and pleasurable. Thank you all. We will come back soon x"
Samaria Hotel
"The location is very good, very close to the beach and convenient for eating. The hotel lobby is very new, the rooms are a bit old, but clean and the staff are nice. Maybe I booked late and the price is very expensive, so the price/performance ratio is a bit low."
Anais Collection Hotels & Suites
"Great location, close to beautiful, family-friendly beaches. The hotel's two pleasant pool areas and two well-equipped gyms also offered plenty of activities. Breakfast was a big plus. The room was cleaned daily. The staff were genuinely friendly. A huge extra thank you for the option to use the shower on departure day."
Harmony Boutique Resort - Adults Only
"I cannot recommend the harmony boutique resort enough and this is because of the amazing staff that we encountered including the amazing cleaners that work so hard to make sure the hotel is what it is. The servers were incredible in Ophelia and at the front desk. The hotel room was immaculate, the little details were amazing too! And we LOVED the air con!! The H20 bar was lush! The cocktails were made so well. The only issue we had was some (and I say some) people around the resort was quite rude at times but we soon met other lovely people. The only other fault was that at H20 it’s very hard to get a sunbed, often people would go off to eat or explore the town but leave their belongings. I think that staff should be able to remove their towels etc if they have been gone for a certain time to make it fair for everyone, we didn’t want to keep sitting at the tables. Thank you for everything harmony boutique! We will be back"
JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa
"The hotel has only been open for two months. The location is a bit out of the way, but the environment is quite nice, the service is excellent, and the food in the hotel restaurant is also very good. It's great value for money. I unexpectedly celebrated my birthday at the hotel on the day I checked in. Because I arrived at the hotel quite late, I found a cake and champagne in my room when I returned the next day after going out. It was wonderful! 👍"
Vignette Collection THE CHANIA HOTEL CRETE by IHG
"The location of the hotel is definitely very good and a plus point. We were greeted in a friendly manner and the lady at the bar gave us a welcome drink. The hotel looks quite high-quality at the entrance and you feel like you're in good hands. I would say it's not 5-star level, but around 3.5-4 absolutely. The room we were given unfortunately had no windows (the description said there was one). No problem for us. Our biggest criticism is that there was no door in the shower because it had been removed. So you couldn't shower properly without water spraying outside. When we told reception, they just said "we didn't know" and preferred to answer the ringing phone and leave the guest standing there. Who would know if not the hotel, so unfortunately it's far from 5-star service. We expected a small apology and that the problem would be taken care of. I think it's a real shame that you pay so much money and then get a room that doesn't meet the standard and isn't really at the level you want it to be given to guests. Luckily we only spent one day here and had previously spent the week in a real 5-star hotel. I can really only give this hotel 3/5 stars overall."
Aloe Boutique Hotel & Suites - Adults Only
"Our holiday was just perfect. It was our first holiday in over 25 years without our children and other surpassed all expectations. From check in, it was obvious that the Aloe is special. We were greeted by an excellent member of reception staff with a slight American accent - sorry, I didn't catch her name. But she was so friendly and happy to help. Harry was also brilliant and Simon who speedily took our cases to our rooms after we'd drunk our arrival prosecco. The hotel has a prime position across the road from the sea and surrounded by a few great tavernas. Our room was well equipped and comfortable. The only improvement would be to improve the larger towels. Some days they were large sbd fluffy and other days they were thin and tiny. Breakfast was great and tables cleared quickly.. Lots to choose from. A 2nd coffee machine would be a good idea as there was often a queue. The staff though are what makes this hotel. All were friendly and chatty. Kleo, Asterios, Jeanne, Fabian and Abbey in the restaurant were all so lovely. Angelina behind the bar who makes fantastic cocktails. All were just great. They all work so hard - sorry if I left anyone out. Plus the little touches... we asked for 2 extra chairs on our balcony so we could enjoy a glass of wine before going out for dinner. They appeared within minutes. To the wine glasses provided amd even a bottle of prosecvo for my birthday and a strawberry tart complete with candle and Bucks fizz for breakfast on my birthday too. We will be back one day I'm sure. Meanwhile, I will recommend your hotel to my customers looking at Crete in the travel business I own."
Villa Alexander
"The place is almost super hygienic, now I look from the balcony at Mrs. Sandy, who is scrubbing the space by the pool with a smile ... Super helpful and always in a good mood. A place where you calmly walk barefoot everywhere. The pool and suites exceed expectations. A longer walk to the main beach, but shorter every day :) However, 4 minutes from the hotel there is a rocky, wild descent to the sea with a ladder. We are a large group from Poland and absolutely everyone is delighted, and we have been to Greece many times. It's great here!"
Monastery Estate Venetian Harbor
"A hotel with local characteristics, very high ceilings, and enthusiastic staff. It should be a hotel renovated on a ruin. The restaurant next to the hotel is also very good."
Elia Hotel & Spa
Spilia Village Hotel & Villas
"Some of the staff have a bit of an attitude problem. It also seemed mechanical the way the in-house restaurant manager ’Manos’ spoke to us and everyone else. Also he was dominant in his behavior towards the customers making it uncomfortable to say when something wasn’t right. Making it feel like we, the customers, are the problem. He was also favoring customers that responded better to his dominant ways of interacting. We spoke to several other couples there who agreed. On our first evening we had dinner in-house (the only time). When we got to the outside restaurant area, 2 staff and a random person sat smoking in the nearby bar, no one welcomed us until we stood in front of them looking confused. Went onto having an undercooked burger and a boring pork chop dish. Go to the nearby local restaurants (2 close by). The hotel should keep to breakfast and snack menu and then excel at these while working with the local area for eating out. It already being a village hotel this just makes sense to lift and utilize their surroundings better! Kudos to ‘GENI’ and ‘Vasillis’ a waiter and receptionist who both were good to us. The facilities have potential (a lot) but the execution is lacking accordingly. Pool area needs music. The lights around the hotel is something you install in your shed or a backlot with motion sensors. The table tennis area lacks all kinds of mood setting. Talking about the place resembling a shed, that area tops the list. Also the table was broken along with the bats. Use lamps that resemble a flame. Yeah all in all a lot could be done for the setting. You don’t get the feeling of being in a hotel that has the stars they tell you. On paper they achieve the stars, but not in our combined experience of the place. "
Lagon Life Spirit Boutique Hotel - Adults Only
"Highly recommended for those who want to stay in Chania! The sunset view from the room is amazing. Caring staff and breakfast unbelievable!!!! Delivered at your door! 😍"
Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort
"What a fabulous resort! If you want a 100% guarantee that you’ll have a great time with your friends, partner, or the whole family, this place is highly recommended. I visited with my wife and son, and we loved it. From the moment we arrived until our very last hour, the entire staff was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and always smiling. A special thank you goes to Mariangela - she was exceptionally kind, friendly, and approachable. I’d like to thank all the staff, especially Mariangela, for their stellar service. Keep up the amazing work! Ευχαριστώ! "
Minoa Palace Resort
"A fantastic hotel! It had a wonderful resort feel, was very relaxing, and had beautiful scenery. The nearby restaurants were also quite good. The staff at the front desk were always smiling and welcoming, and the staff training was excellent! Highly recommended!"
Sirios Village Hotel & Bungalows - All Inclusive
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment of our vacation. We chose a room with a private pool, and it was definitely worth it. The room was newly renovated, modern, spacious, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was outstanding, and every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. We stayed for a week, and the all-inclusive program offered a great variety of food, drinks, and entertainment, making our stay enjoyable throughout. There was always something to choose from, and the quality of the food was excellent. One of our favorite parts was the live cooking. The freshly made crêpes were delicious, while the gyros and pizzas prepared in front of us were fantastic. And of course, we couldn’t resist the soft-serve ice cream! A big thank you to the entire team for their excellent hospitality and outstanding service. They made our stay truly special. We would definitely choose this hotel again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable all-inclusive holiday."
