Royal Sun ★★★

📍 Ioannou Paizi 36, Chania

"The hotel is very good, the breakfast is good but the bathroom box does not match the hotel. Good answers."

Hyperion City Hotel & Spa

Hyperion City Hotel & Spa ★★★★

📍 El. Venizelou 75 - 79, Chania

"We went there during the off-season. There were almost no shops open around on Sundays, but the city center was a half-hour walk away and it was quite lively. The air conditioning in the room did not heat the room, the balcony was large, and there were not many types of breakfast."

Niriis Hotel

Niriis Hotel ★★★

📍 Herakleous St., Agii Apostoli, , Kato, Daratso

"Highly recommend. Great location, quiet, clean, good service and very comfortable. Great having kitchenette . Supermarket close by is very handy and plenty of restaurants."

Hippie City Hostel

Hippie City Hostel

📍 Eleftheriou Venizelou 17a, Chania

"The room was what you'd expect for the price. It was a bit dirty, and I didn't feel it matched the photos. However, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful! Even though their English wasn't fluent, they used a phone app to translate and communicate with me. They even let us watch the World Cup match on the rooftop until 1 AM, which was really great."

Elia Kalamaki Hotel

Elia Kalamaki Hotel ★★★

📍 Eirinis, Galatas

"Excellent small hotel. Recommended All the staff were great but a special mention to Eleni & Vicki on reception who were a great source of local information, happy to chat and always gave a warm welcome Breakfasts were really good with a selection of hot & cold food. Loved the fresh orange juice , the homemade cakes and avacado cheese tomato on toast Pool pretty small but there aren’t loads of guests so no problem getting a sun bed. Pool towels provided Room was very clean with linen, towels changed every few days. Best shower I’ve ever experienced in Greece. Coffee maker but would have liked a kettle as well Pita Griil (recommended) & small supermarket just over the road. Sandy beach, more supermarkets restaurants 200 yards with a frequent bus service to Chania Town for 1.5 euro"

Aris Boutique Hotel
9.3 (54 reviews)

Aris Boutique Hotel ★★★

📍 old town, Palaiokhora

"A nice hotel a short walk from the town centre. Our room was clean, quiet and well equipped and, being on the second floor, had a level of natural light and a partial view of the sea. The outside, paved areas were sensitively laid out and featured a number of attractive sculptures. There was a good breakfast with a wide range of options. The staff in the hotel were incredibly helpful and welcoming. There were also a number of printed guides giving information about local walks etc. Our only criticism was that the bathroom was rather cramped."

Camping Chania

Camping Chania ★★

📍 Paradisou, Daratso

"Just had an 11 night stay here and had a lovely time. All the people that work here are very friendly. Great restaurant and good prices. Pool is really nice. The beach is a couple of mins walk away and there are 3 other beaches 8 to 10 mins away. Rooms are basic but clean, plenty of loo roll and clean towels. The air con didn't work properly but was fixed the same day when we reported it. Shout out Nusa the cleaner who took care of us, the very hardworking Tanya who runs the shop and the restaurant and Alex on the bar, everyone was so nice and really made our stay great."

Perla Beach
8.9 (32 reviews)

Perla Beach ★★★

📍 Main Street, Agia Marina Nea Kydonias

"Very nice, clean and fresh accommodation. Cleaning was done every day, which was too often. Cleaning every 3rd day would be enough. Close to everything; pool, beach and Agia Marina's offerings. Nice and helpful staff. Communication between Trip.com and the accommodation broke down at check-in but the staff at the reception resolved it. A great place! Highly recommended!"

"The hotel has only been open for two months. The location is a bit out of the way, but the environment is quite nice, the service is excellent, and the food in the hotel restaurant is also very good. It's great value for money. I unexpectedly celebrated my birthday at the hotel on the day I checked in. Because I arrived at the hotel quite late, I found a cake and champagne in my room when I returned the next day after going out. It was wonderful! 👍"

"This was one of many hotels we looked at but after so many positive reviews about the hotel and the staff it was a no brainer to book and we weren’t disappointed. The staff go out of their way to help you always with a friendly smile. The hotel is clean and adults only makes it a bonus. It’s a 10 second walk from the beach front. The beach is a cove never over crowded and the water is crystal clear and shallow for a long way. Plenty of little shops and places to eat out in this little village. Breakfast in the hotel was good, tasty. Not spoilt for choice but plenty for whatever your tastes. Pool area is great always get a bed. But we mostly went to the beach. There’s a car hire place nearby and a trip to Chania Old Town is an absolute must do. Would come back here again for sure and to this lovely hotel. Highly recommend it."

Porto Kalamaki Hotel Hotels in Chania

Porto Kalamaki Hotel

"Had a great holiday at Porto Kalamaki Hotel. We used this place as a base to explore western Crete and were well impressed with the hotel and staff. Andreas and Maria were there every day to attend to our needs, serving food, drinks from early morning till late at night, always with a caring attitude and friendly smile. We had an apartment in the centre of the hotel with a large balcony overlooking the pool. Yes there was a bit of road noise from the usual nuggets on the road, but generally the area is quiet, being located away from the busy areas. The cleaners, and other waiters / hotel staff were all very friendly and attentive. I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again. Thanks for an amazing stay."

"Quality of the food is not about 5 stars hotel and has not a good looking (just see the picture) At 19.30 o’clock the stuff refused to make a tea, or other any hot beverages By the phone no possibility to make a reservation, nobody answers The person who makes reservations, Maria Syggenioti Firstly book you a table and closer to the evening has just sent a text message “sorry we overbooked”, then didn’t pick a phone. When you come without reservation- there are empty tables, and you can easily select a place where to chill. Awful service, don’t recommend to visit this place"

Royal Sun ★★★
"Pros - view from the restaurant (average cuisine). About the rooms: depends on the occupancy, if with a sea view - it will be good, if to the courtyard and also under the restaurant - you will hear the noise of the hood, washing machine and God knows what else... I do not recommend the hotel."

Niriis Hotel ★★★
"Our stay at the Niriis Hotel was most enjoyable and the room clean and tidy. The cost is reasonable and location very handy to the local bus that takes you to Chania old town, and also the departure point for the tourist fun train. Fabulous sandy beaches are only a few minutes walk away. Owner George and the reception staff are helpful and go the extra mile if you need assistance or have any questions, on what to see and do. Tours can also be booked at the hotel. Would recommend staying here."

Elia Kalamaki Hotel ★★★
"Totally overpriced in every way. Very small room in a very not useful modern stile. The view was ugly cause the other houses surrounding us had terrible roofs and we where on 3 rd floor so they where right in our spot. bathroom and space in the room has an unusual and not practical installation. We had to take furniture out on the balcony for getting some space. TV channels was all German. Must say we found this room very uncomfortable ant not very useful in many ways. Light was turn on at the balcony and first after 12 pm off. Coffee machine was broken and didn’t have instructions how to use and we had to wait for the desk service next day. Cleaning was ok and a big smiling desk service also in top, the breakfast peoples here was very nice. Under our stay the fire alarm went on at 05:30 am thankfully by a mistake, but what a show out off control. Next day the whole village had power out. 4 days we stayed cause we paid so much and would didn’t like to loos time for finding a new hotel or money. This area is maximum tourist area alla Asian stile and we never found a Greek restaurant with authentic atmosphere and locals food."

Camping Chania ★★
"Our second year at Camping Chania in Agios Apostolis, just to the west of the city. We have our own campervan, but we usually rent one of the cabins with an attached toilet/shower and that is what we did again this year. These are lovely clean and spacious cabins and we would thoroughly recommend them as well as the ordinary pitches for campers and mobile homes, Nikos, Pedros, Costas and (young) Nikos are all extremely helpful, as is Tania, the lovely lady who runs the shop. In addition to all this, the site cafe is a real find. The head chef Stella, produces fresh food of real quality every night at prices which are incredibly reasonable. The House white is excellent and the service provided by her lovely son Angelos is a pleasure. All-in-all a very smart operation on all fronts. Andy and Liz, Liverpool, UK"

Perla Beach ★★★
"From our early arrival to our late departure everything about the Perla Beach was fabulous. We stayed for 9 nights in a poolside studio room. It was a very good size with a small but sufficient kitchen area, shower room, dining area and a very large, comfortable double bed. There was a good sized terrace overlooking the pool with table and chairs. The room was spotless, the lovely cleaning ladies came in daily to change towels (if required), make the bed, removed trash and mopped throughout. The bed was changed every 3 days. The lovely guy in reception was always very helpful and courteous, nothing was too much trouble for him, lovely customer service which was very much appreciated. The pool is amazing and very well maintained. Lots of sun beds available and lots of shade if required, the gardens are kept neat and tidy too. The location of the Perla Beach is perfect, 2 minute stroll to the beautiful beach and loads of lovely restaurants close by. Plenty of shops and little supermarkets within walking distance. No noise from the main road either. The bus stops are also close by which is very handy of you want to go to Chnia town (well worth visiting) I have no hesitation in recommending the Perla Beach and will hopefully be back next year"
