"After comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye."

"The hotel is located in Danxia Town, with Danxia Night Market right outside the door. There are also several restaurants with high review scores around it. There is also a supermarket a few steps away. The location is very convenient. The room is very comfortable and clean. The hotel owner, Ms. Zhang, is warm and friendly. I will stay here again if I have the chance. I took a few photos of the night market and scenery in front of the hotel."

"the owner was so friendly and helpful. they brought us to the entrqnce personally. i only found out that there were two main entrances when i arrived. The North and West entrance. I ended up staying at the West entrance. Not much activities at night. The North was a lot more shops and restaurants around the area. One thing I like was the quietness and the hospitality shown by the owner. They provide a lot of water and a fruit platter too. We walked to the entrance the next morning. Only took about 15 min. Problem is the shuttle busses were not so frequent in the morning session from the West gate. One point to consider. Other than that, this place is superb for less noise. Thank you."

"Very clean & excellent service. Even though the staff couldn’t speak fluent English, use of translator app was used & then went of their way to ensure that my stay was extremely comfortable. Attractions not mentioned in Trip.com was suggested & I must say I enjoyed their recommendations. The only downside side was these attractions are catered for the local Chinese population so no English version. Having said that it was an enjoyable & very hectic two days in Linze. Would recommend but with the caveat that travellers should have their translator app handy to communicate with staff & local public."

"The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was super convenient. It was a quick walk straight out the door to the Colorful Danxia景区, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. The owner was really welcoming too. We arrived at the hotel after 5 PM, and to help us save time, the owner even drove us directly to the scenic area entrance."

"I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation experience. I booked a parent-child room. The room is very clean and the surrounding is very quiet. It is only one or two kilometers away from the scenic spot. The boss is very enthusiastic and sincere. He introduced the surrounding restaurants to us, and even picked cucumbers grown by himself. I hope the boss's business will get better and better! I will recommend it to friends who come later to choose accommodation! Really good! ! It's my biggest regret that I didn't have time to take pictures hahaha"

"Had a very comfortable night's sleep. The room was clean, and there was plenty of hot water. The TV had screen casting and great picture quality. They even provided Xiaomi brand humidifiers. We went to see the 'Return to Zhangye' show, and the hotel is very close to both the scenic area and the theater. A special tip: if you buy your show tickets at the hotel, they offer a free shuttle service, saving you parking fees. Plus, there's a food festival near the theater with really affordable food. It's definitely worth seeing!"

"As other reviewers mentioned, the room was spotless and the facilities were brand new. The owner was very welcoming and even gave us a fridge magnet when we left. I can honestly say it was the most comfortable night's sleep I've had so far on the Qinghai-Gansu loop, with no altitude sickness and the room wasn't too hot or dry."

The location was very convenient, just a five or six minute walk from the scenic area. The front desk was extremely friendly and even offered us helpful suggestions for nearby restaurants, which was very thoughtful. The room was even cleaner than the pictures showed, the bathroom was neatly maintained, and the water temperature was stable. The breakfast was homely and delicious. Overall, the value for money was excellent. I would stay here again next time I'm in the area and highly recommend it to everyone!"
