"I stayed at the Kaoshan Diving Tent Hotel and it was a truly unique experience. The location is excellent — an oasis of peace right next to the stunning Rainbow Mountains. The atmosphere is incredibly romantic and relaxing, perfect for couples or anyone seeking calm in nature.
The tents are comfortable, spacious, and full of character, offering a wonderful glamping feel. The staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming. A special mention goes to John, who went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. In the evening, the restaurant area is filled with soft piano music that adds to the serene vibe.
The only minor downside was the shared bathrooms, which weren’t perfectly clean, especially the showers.
Overall, this is a memorable, relaxing stay immersed in nature. Highly recommended for a special experience near Zhangye’s Danxia! ⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"The hotel is very close to the North Gate of the scenic area, and parking is super convenient. All the staff here are incredibly helpful and responsive, always ready to answer questions and fulfill requests.
The hotel itself is quite large, and its public areas are great for relaxing and even taking some travel photos. I didn't use the complimentary travel photography service, but the hot air balloon aerial photography VR experience voucher they gave us was fantastic. It's right in the hotel lobby; you just sit in a chair, put on the VR headset, and virtually soar through the blue sky, enjoying panoramic views of the Danxia landscape. It was truly impressive!👍
The room was very clean. I especially loved the night light design; it's really considerate for elderly guests who might need to get up at night.
We checked in right on the Dragon Boat Festival, and the hotel even gave us complimentary zongzi (rice dumplings). My only minor complaint is that they were delivered a bit late, almost 10 PM, by which point I was already too full to eat them! 🫢
If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the breakfast was just average, lacking variety and unique specialties."

"The owners were very friendly , nice and service oriented .. they even offered to send us to Binggou Xia knowing it might be difficult to get cab during the low season .. they keep checking with you if everything is good for you . Breakfast vegetables are planted by them . very clean hotel .. will be goo if they can provide real towels instead of disposable ones though ."

"Very clean & excellent service. Even though the staff couldn’t speak fluent English, use of translator app was used & then went of their way to ensure that my stay was extremely comfortable.
Attractions not mentioned in Trip.com was suggested & I must say I enjoyed their recommendations. The only downside side was these attractions are catered for the local Chinese population so no English version. Having said that it was an enjoyable & very hectic two days in Linze.
Would recommend but with the caveat that travellers should have their translator app handy to communicate with staff & local public."

"Our stay at Colorful Danxia Flower House Hotel was truly exceptional—easily a 5-star experience. From the moment we arrived, the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even personally helping us carry our luggage upstairs. His hospitality didn’t stop there—he kindly assisted us in booking tickets for a local show and even drove us there himself, which made our trip so much more convenient and enjoyable.
The room was spotless, one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain high standards. We also really appreciated the free laundry service, which was incredibly helpful during our travels.
The location is perfect—just a short walking distance to the west entrance of the Danxia park, making it easy to explore. Right across the hotel is a fantastic restaurant, so finding great food was effortless.
To top it all off, the owner even prepared thoughtful departing gifts for us, which was such a warm and memorable touch. His kindness and attentiveness truly set this place apart. If you’re visiting the area, this hotel is an outstanding choice."

Breakfast was also very good – light and not greasy. It's very close to the west gate of the scenic spot, a mere 10-minute walk. The owner even gave us fridge magnets when we left. If staying in the city center isn't a top priority for you, then staying near the scenic spot is definitely a good choice. However, if you're looking to dine out or experience the city's vibe, I wouldn't recommend this location, as getting to and from the city center takes at least an hour and a half."

"Five-star recommendation! The room was clean, tidy, and exceptionally quiet, with excellent ventilation and natural light. The en-suite bathroom featured a separate shower and toilet, making for a refreshing and comfortable stay. The owner's service was exceptionally attentive, and the price was incredibly reasonable. It's only 600 meters from the west gate of the Rainbow Mountains, just a few minutes' walk away, making travel super convenient. Dining and shopping are also very convenient, especially for those driving. Free parking and charging stations for electric vehicles are available, making charging a one-stop solution for road trips. A variety of room types are also available. A must-stay when visiting the Rainbow Mountains!"

GGuest UserThe smart hotel was fantastic; the kids loved it. It was a bit chilly at the Rainbow Mountains during the Qingming Festival, but the owner's warm service made up for it all. Even though it was the off-season, the owner upgraded our room. The breakfast was delicious, all homemade by the owner – truly rare! The facilities were excellent, and the bedding was superb. The owner is willing to invest; the hairdryer alone cost several hundred yuan. It's one of the best quality hotels in the area. A word of advice: four-star hotels are generally subpar; avoid hotels catering to tour groups.

The location is incredible!! Just a 5-minute walk from the Danxia Scenic Area?! A perfect combination for business trips and leisure travel! The room's smart controls are amazing – just voice control to turn the lights and air conditioning on and off?! A lazy person's dream!! The bathroom is so clean it reflects light, the bed is super soft, and the soundproofing is so good you can't even hear the neighbors snoring 😴
The receptionist is incredibly kind!! She proactively highlighted important things to do and eat, her response time was lightning fast ⚡️ The night view of Danxia from the window is absolutely stunning!! I took so many photos with my phone's memory card after turning on the lights!!
As a business traveler, this is fantastic! I'll definitely bring my buddies back for another round!! Just go for it!!

The location was very convenient, just a five or six minute walk from the scenic area. The front desk was extremely friendly and even offered us helpful suggestions for nearby restaurants, which was very thoughtful. The room was even cleaner than the pictures showed, the bathroom was neatly maintained, and the water temperature was stable. The breakfast was homely and delicious. Overall, the value for money was excellent. I would stay here again next time I'm in the area and highly recommend it to everyone!
