"After comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye."

From the moment we arrived, the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even personally helping us carry our luggage upstairs. His hospitality didn’t stop there—he kindly assisted us in booking tickets for a local show and even drove us there himself, which made our trip so much more convenient and enjoyable. The room was spotless, one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain high standards. We also really appreciated the free laundry service, which was incredibly helpful during our travels. The location is perfect—just a short walking distance to the west entrance of the Danxia park, making it easy to explore. Right across the hotel is a fantastic restaurant, so finding great food was effortless. To top it all off, the owner even prepared thoughtful departing gifts for us, which was such a warm and memorable touch. His kindness and attentiveness truly set this place apart. "Choosing this hotel for my trip truly exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely fantastic; it's super convenient for dining out, visiting attractions, and getting taxis. Plus, they offer free parking. The room was spotless, the bathroom was dry and odor-free, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing me to get a full, peaceful night's sleep after a long day of travel. The front desk staff were gentle and attentive, making check-in and check-out quick and efficient. Any requests I had were promptly addressed. The hot water, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi all worked perfectly and were very stable. It offers incredible value for money, and I will definitely prioritize staying here again if I'm ever in the area. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling!"

"This hotel is super close to the Colorful Danxia West Gate, only 600 meters away, and it's just a 3-minute drive to the scenic area. It saved us the hassle of rushing early in the morning! The room was spotless, and the smart devices were really convenient to use. The owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful, even recommending the best time for us to view the scenery. Our stay was definitely a five-star experience. This is absolutely the top choice if you're visiting Zhangye to see Danxia!"

"the owner was so friendly and helpful. they brought us to the entrqnce personally. i only found out that there were two main entrances when i arrived. The North and West entrance. I ended up staying at the West entrance. Not much activities at night. The North was a lot more shops and restaurants around the area. One thing I like was the quietness and the hospitality shown by the owner. They provide a lot of water and a fruit platter too. We walked to the entrance the next morning. Only took about 15 min. Problem is the shuttle busses were not so frequent in the morning session from the West gate. One point to consider. Other than that, this place is superb for less noise. Thank you."

There are many convenient local snacks and restaurants around the hotel, also within walking distance. The landlady was very enthusiastic and even gave us a small souvenir when we left."

The guest room was a true delight. Opening the door, fresh air washed over us, free of any odor. The cleanliness was meticulous, from the desks and beds to the corners, spotless. Warm yellow lighting and soft bedding created a warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout the room, making it feel like home and relaxing. The morning breakfast was a further delight. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, from local specialties to classic breakfast favorites. Fresh ingredients, meticulously prepared, ensured every bite was satisfying. The dining environment was also exceptionally comfortable, with a clean, tidy table and soft music playing in the background, making breakfast a true pleasure. This trip, whether it is the comfortable accommodation, delicious breakfast, or the shocking experience of the Danxia Scenic Area and ethnic culture, makes people feel extremely fulfilled and happy, and the experience is right to the maximum!"

The staff are friendly and responsive, and it's very quiet, perfect for a good rest. There are lots of restaurants nearby, so you have plenty of choices.
