The location is perfect—just a short walking distance to the west entrance of the Danxia park, making it easy to explore. Right across the hotel is a fantastic restaurant, so finding great food was effortless. To top it all off, the owner even prepared thoughtful departing gifts for us, which was such a warm and memorable touch. His kindness and attentiveness truly set this place apart. The guesthouse has car wash facilities, offering free car washes for those driving, which is very thoughtful. The guesthouse also has its own restaurant where you can enjoy authentic local cuisine; the food is delicious and flavorful, and the breakfast is well-balanced and nutritious. The staff are attentive and considerate throughout the stay. Most commendable is the owner's long-standing commitment to providing shuttle service to and from the scenic area, saving a lot of trouble. With its convenient one-stop service for food, accommodation, and transportation, and attention to detail, ”Those Bygone Years” (Qicai Danxia Branch) is a very cost-effective place to stay when visiting Qicai Danxia. Highly recommended for those driving.

I spent one night at this hotel and was absolutely thrilled. The location is unbeatable: the north gate of the Danxia Scenic Spot is only about a 10-minute walk away. There are also plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, and small supermarkets in the immediate vicinity, all within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is very modern, well-maintained, and clean. My room was a real highlight – very spacious, stylishly furnished, and equipped with a huge shower. It offered many amenities, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I especially enjoyed the view of the mountains from my window! A big thank you to the staff as well: everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Anyone planning a visit to the Danxia Scenic Spot will find the perfect accommodation here. I would definitely stay here again!

The staff were very welcoming, and the hotel wasn't crowded when I visited. The room provided disposable towels, bath towels, and slippers, and the cleanliness was acceptable. There were parking spaces and three charging stations right outside the hotel, which was very convenient. The only downside was the very simple breakfast; since there weren't many people, they prepared very little – just two dishes, porridge, steamed buns, and eggs.

We were on a road trip with our kids and stayed here when visiting Zhangye Danxia. It was really convenient. We had a triple room, which was quite spacious and clean. The air conditioning was cool, and the hot water for showers was great. Breakfast was light, with vegetables, eggs, millet porridge, and steamed buns – it was nutritious enough and suited to our stomachs in this northwestern region. The staff were warm and friendly; they felt genuine and provided good value for money. In the evening, we went to the nearby Wenwen supermarket to buy water and watermelon, and also had dinner at a Chinese restaurant next door that specialized in grilled fish. We ordered corn porridge and Da Pan Ji (big plate chicken), and it was delicious.

The hotel is very close to the scenic area entrance, and there's plenty of parking, which is great for self-driving. The staff are friendly and responsive, and it's very quiet, perfect for a good rest. There are lots of restaurants nearby, so you have plenty of choices. As soon as we got out of the car, a staff member offered to help with our luggage. Their warm and attentive service instantly dispelled the fatigue of the journey and was truly heartwarming. The guest room was a true delight. Opening the door, fresh air washed over us, free of any odor. The cleanliness was meticulous, from the desks and beds to the corners, spotless. Warm yellow lighting and soft bedding created a warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout the room, making it feel like home and relaxing. The morning breakfast was a further delight. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, from local specialties to classic breakfast favorites. Fresh ingredients, meticulously prepared, ensured every bite was satisfying. The dining environment was also exceptionally comfortable, with a clean, tidy table and soft music playing in the background, making breakfast a true pleasure. This trip, whether it is the comfortable accommodation, delicious breakfast, or the shocking experience of the Danxia Scenic Area and ethnic culture, makes people feel extremely fulfilled and happy, and the experience is right to the maximum!
