When I checked in, Starry was very kind. I asked for a late checkout and she gave it to me free of charge. I was also upgraded room free of charge which was very nice. I wasn’t overly sure on the amenities the hotel had (pool etc). The room was very clean with a lovely large bed. Good wifi, big TV, water in room, optional mini bar. I ordered some room service for lunch and it was very nice and came within a good time. All staff were very kind. I had a takeout delivered to the hotel and someone (I didn’t get her name) was very kind and helped me on her own phone to lick it up as I didn’t know how to do it. Would definitely stay again!

What we love - its central location, cleanliness, a lot of food choices during breakfast buffet, heated pool. We just had some concerns during booking and check in, it was not indicated that our room has no windows but the reception just gave us this room without windows. Due to winter, temperature control cannot be changed so it tends to be very warm.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right around the corner from Nanjing Road and the central shopping area where you can walk down and hit the Bund or Wai Tan. I got upgraded to a suite, and it was lovely, very clean with a very comfortable bed. I used the gym as well, which is very important for me, they have a fantastic gym, with lots of space and new facilities! It is a well-run, very comfortable hotel, worth the stay.

Our stay was pleasant and most of the staff were very helpful & friendly. They will greet us whenever we walked pass. Too bad we did not have the chance to enjoy the facilities and dine in the hotel. One feedback I had was during our check-in day on 28 Feb 2024. We were not sure if we had arrived at the right hotel as we do not know the hotel's Chinese name. It was raining and I wanted to alight & make a quick check with an older porter at the hotel entrance/drop-off point. When I asked the older porter ”这里是不是 Okura Garden Hotel?” He just brushed me aside and said ”不知道!”. In the end I had to dashed into the hotel lobby and reconfirmed with the reception on duty. Understand that English may not be a common language for the hotel staff especially the older ones. But won't it make a great difference if the staff at least knows the English name of the hotel that they are working for?

Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didn’t work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didn’t match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didn’t have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonald’s instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.

A clean hotel with very generous space in the room—I was upgraded for free which was a nice touch. The Rosemary toiletries, huge shower and tub, Nespresso machine, and free mini bar were all appreciated. The view (I was on the 9th floor) wasn’t the best but overall the room was excellent. I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect 5nights stay in Shanghai. Excellent location-5mins walking distance to Yu Yuan豫园, 3mins to nearest MRT Station (Yuyuan Station), Family Mart. 10mins walk to the Bund. 2 stations away to Nanjing Pedestrian Street. Room- Excellent design, huge room with seperate toilet(automation toiletbowl) and shower with bathtub, dressing table, big wardrobe to hang coats and big space to put luggages. Spacious Living area. Minibar is free and replenish everyday. Service- Front desk Lily and others staffs are helpful and friendly. All my request were fullfilled. House keeper aunty name 覃爱元 is so nice and polite , she always keep our room clean and tidy! Breakfast-Alot of variety, chinese and western. Coffee is good! Hotel Interior- New , Classy and elegant! Awards winning hotel.

Amazing hotel room with a fish tank! Perfect amenities. Hotel service couldn’t be more helpful. Bringing extra water and ice to the room. Hotel room was extremely hot the manager brought down a fan. Breakfast was very chaotic, food was cold. All in all would 100% stay again. Cliff light show was amazing, water light show was ok. If you want to use the swimming pool being a cap as we read on previous reviews it was needed. Check in was good and helpful. Very busy at checkin but the manager organized the line and told people to queue rather than finding an empty desk.

very modern hotel with an own bar just right in front of a big shopping mall. Hotel is really clean and one of the most modern places I have seen in China so far. Location is a little bit hard to find but if you get to the place you wont be disappointed.its pretty well connected to the city center just o front of the shopping mall is a metro station. Staff speaks chinese and english and is really helpful. the hotel has even an own bar and a small terrace for sitting. I remember having there a good time and I would always when i come back to Shanghai stay there again.

The place is quite nice. Everything is new and in good condition. There are some minor things like scratches on the walls and the floor wasn’t quite clean I would say, but overall it’s much better than most places. They could put some useful things in the rooms, like shoehorns, or bottle openers, and it would be just great. I mean, you put a sex box in the room, but you didn’t think about simple things like a bottle opener?😂 There’s a kettle as well, but not even a couple of tea bags. Also, there’s no fridge or safe in the room, which is kind of inconvenient. And please please please wash the windows! The view from our room was really good, but it was spoiled by a horribly dirty window.

Overall a disappointing experience for several reasons. I’m not one who usually writes negative reviews or makes lists of issues when I stay at hotels, but there were a few that were difficult to ignore: 1. I stayed on Christmas Eve because we were having the hotel’s brunch the next day. I thought I would have a nice, relaxing morning to wake up and get ready, but instead was awoken to construction work out in the hallway—drilling and hammering that were incredibly loud. Furthermore, the whole room was then filled with the STRONGEST, AWFUL smell of burning plastic that I had ever smelt. Because none of the windows in the room could open, I had to suffer through the smell and try to ready as quickly as possible…not a pleasant way to wake up! 2. The bathroom just wasn’t clean. There were urine and possible blood stains on the toilet seat and floor that I had to wipe away when I first arrived to the room. Cleaning services should do a better job to check the toilet surfaces when cleaning. 3. It’s December and the middle of a cold snap in Shanghai, but for some reason the room was unbearably hot and stuffy. I turned off the heating and even tried to turn on the cold AC but the temperature remained the same. It was difficult to sleep because of how hot and sweaty I was. The windows couldn’t be opened so I couldn’t even get a fresh breeze…

Everything was perfect except, upon arrival to our room there was a notice on the table which said the swimming pool would be under maintenance the following day for one week. If you want a hotel with a swimming pool, always call the hotel first to confirm the pool is open since there will be no notice via the trip app before you book or after you book.

Great location, close to Nanjing Lu of course for all the touristy, but also behind the hotel you can get a slice of more local life in Shanghai too. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were beautiful too. It's an older hotel, so the decor is more traditional and is showing some very minor signs of age. We were very comfortable throughout and made use of the lovely indoor swimming pool too.

It will be even better if the variety changed few days once. 3. Room : Room is enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Floor 26 view was really good, and the room keeping personnel very good in service. 4. The hotel is very Mini, and the rooms are also Mini, but the hygiene is good and the basic facilities are there. The elevator runs very quietly and is equipped with a smart toilet. The hot water is very fast and the bathroom is larger. However, I asked the front desk for toiletries in advance. After washing my hair, I found that there were no A comb brings success and failure with it. The front desk service is okay. Breakfast is not provided by the hotel. It cooperates with the nearby snack shop and gives out 20 yuan breakfast coupons. Hotel is very close to subway station (80m) from gate 1 or 3, walking distance or 1 subway station away from many iconic tourist attractions and eateries. Staffs were very friendly and attentive, we were only staying for 1 nights, but requested hotel reception to take our parcels a few days before our arrival, so we can pick up our stuffs at our last stop and they were happy to help, thank you. Hotel also provided kid slipper and toothbrush upon request, gave our girl favourite pinky colour pack. Hotel itself were transformed from old building, but noted it was newly renovated and vintage looking from outside, but modern amenities inside, also have modern automated toilets (like Japanese hotels). Will definitely recommend family or other visitors to stay here. The only minor downside is too few seats for buffet breakfast, we were asked to squeezed in with a few other people, but still acceptable, staffs cleaned the table very quickly and find the seats for us within 5 minutes.

The location is a big plus as it is near metro and also the hotel is at Nanjing Road, People’s Square, close to The Bund and other places. My itinerary started around 2pm. I arrived Shanghai at 11am from Pudong Airport. ＞ Nanjing Road ＞ The Bund ＞ Yu Yuan Garden ＞ Shanghai Old Town Then went back to roam around. Found Cathedrals along the way (not sure of the names) ＞ Around 7pm I joined the Tour Bus which is 40RMB for 40minutes and will take you to the other side where the Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl Tower located. You can see them upclose. The receptionist was helpful on my checked-out day as she helped me to call a taxi to my next destination. The only downside of this hotel is the cleanliness of the room and corridor. I found a hair on my bed, even inside the duvet. Under the table was so dusty. Toothpick at the corridor. Which I believe can improve next time. :) All in all. It’s a great hotel and great location.

The hotel has a good environment, complete facilities, good service attitude, and good cleaning. When I first came in, I saw the aunt cleaning the room. The size is moderate. The bed is comfortable overall. It is comfortable to sleep. The bathroom is very clean. No smell, and the traffic is very convenient. There are many subway lines nearby here, and then it should not be far from the Bund. It takes about ten minutes to walk. It is a very good choice for travel and tourism 👍👍👍

A few years ago, I applied for a meal card in the corner cafeteria. By coincidence, the hotel I booked this time is just across from it. The Youth Hostel is a forest! I booked 4 nights in Dec2023. As it was winter, the entire hotel's aircon cooling system was turned off and switched to heating mode. There is no cooling mode in all the rooms. We were unfamiliar with the aircon settings and this resulted in our room becoming hot as a sauna. We slept on top of our blankets and were drenched in sweat in the middle of the night. Luckily for the 24 hours front desk, we called for help at 2am. They were cheerful and responsive and even sent someone up to our room and brought us a fan to circulate the air. And when an empty room was available the next day, they gave us an upgrade to a larger room with a much better air circulation. Despite paying only a fraction of the price of a big brand hotel (like Hyatt, Marriott or ), the service we received at JinJiang is on par or better. All the staff speak English and are attentive and eager to please. If things go wrong, let them know and give them a chance to rectify. I highly recommend this hotel for the excellent location and impeccable service. Thank you JinJiang Metropolo hotel for making my stay in Shanghai so enjoyable despite having almost no sleep the first two nights. The hotel is located at level 11 or 12 of the building. Not all the floors belongs to the hotel. The staffs attitude is cold but helpful in some way. They also offer free laundry and dryer that you can use at level 12. For breakfast, you have to scan the QR at the reception via wechat to claim the breakfast from the vending machine. It is convenient but it is a struggle for those who do not read chinese.
