Scenic Hotels in Krabi Town

"I was very impressed with the hotel. The smiles of the staff as they waved goodbye and shouted ”Have a good trip!” are still fresh in my mind. I remember seeing tourists from other hotels having to wade through high water in the morning to get to the dining area, but we were comfortably seated in our hotel with its excellent location and convenient amenities. I felt proud of myself for choosing Sand Sea Railay. On check-in day, Mr. Wa ran to help me with my luggage when he saw me turning left towards the hotel. I curiously asked him how he knew I was a hotel guest. Mr. Wa explained that if you turn left, you're only a guest of one of the three hotels on this side, so he just helps out regardless. Mr. Phot, Ms. Meen, and the female reception staff (whose name I didn't catch) were all lovely and very helpful with our return boat trip and driving us between our room and the lobby. They always greeted us with a smile. But the person we loved and were most impressed with was Mr. Golf from the restaurant. Golf is wonderful, offers professional service, and is very friendly to talk to. At one point, a staff member accidentally brought us another table's bill. I admit I didn't check the items carefully myself. Mr. Golf quickly ran over to us by the pool, informing us that the bill was incorrect, and handed us the right one. Later that night, my husband and I were relaxing by the pool, and the night breeze was quite strong. Mr. Golf brought us two beach towels to cover ourselves with. On our last night, we weren't really hungry, but we still went to the hotel restaurant because we wanted to say goodbye to Mr. Golf. My husband gave Mr. Golf a tip. Mr. Golf then ran to get it exchanged into smaller bills, came back to us, and asked if we could help him give this tip to other staff members to encourage his colleagues. My husband explained that we were giving it to him because we were impressed with him personally, and since we had already given a total tip, we wanted him to keep it. Mr. Golf replied, ”I want to share this happiness with my younger colleagues and friends.” The staff here made us change our September vacation plans. We're not going to Kanchanaburi anymore because we definitely have to come back and see all of you again."

"Location: The hotel is right by Ao Nang Beach, but not directly on the main road. You'll need to walk about 200 meters from the longtail boat ticket office. Cleanliness: I personally found it good; the floors and corners were very clean. I saw two geckos in the room, but no mosquitoes. Service: I didn't encounter any staff who spoke Chinese, but everyone was very friendly. They emptied the trash and changed towels daily. Ambiance: Good greenery, right next to the beach with beautiful views. Facilities: Relatively old, but well-maintained and mostly sufficient. The shower water pressure was low and not very hot. The air conditioning was noisy. Breakfast: Average."

"The hotel service was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Yusof and Ra. The facilities are great for families. The pool is not very big, but it’s just nice for kids to enjoy. There is also a playroom, which is a nice addition. The food we ordered was delicious, although it took a bit longer to be prepared. The room was comfortable and came with a balcony, which made it convenient for smokers. The only downside was that the towels had a slight smell. The hotel is very convenient, with easy access to halal local food, a pharmacy, laundry services, massage, and a salon. Overall, we loved our stay!"

"The facilities in all aspects were great, and the kids had a wonderful time in the pool. The hotel isn't located directly on the main road, but it's only a short walk to the bustling area, so it offers a quiet space. The only minor drawback was that the room felt a bit damp, but the hotel provided a dehumidifier, which helped somewhat."

"Really great location, close to the Pier - everything in Railay Beach is within about 10-20 minutes walk, from one side of the ”island” to the other, but being close to the Pier is good when you have to carry luggage. Big rooms, quiet resort, no children of course. One tip - dont try to check in early... even in low season where there was maybe 5 other rooms booked, they still made us wait until 2pm to go into our room. They do have an air conditioned waiting area, and even though out room was ready we still had to wait which was a shame. Also, the bar doesn't open until 3pm, so we couldn't buy a drink here while waiting. Aside from this, breakfast was pretty tasty, but minimal options. Still glad we booked with breakfast as most things aren't open until later in the day. Great place to stay for a couple of days, but next time I'd probably just visit Railay as a day trip from Ao Nang."

"The location is excellent, very close to Tonsai Pier. Upon exiting the pier, there's a staff member holding a sign waiting for guests. After confirming our names, they helped us with our luggage to the hotel, and they were very enthusiastic whether we tipped or not. ❤️🔥 The hotel isn't very large overall, but it has everything you need. There are many restaurants on the island for breakfast, so I booked a room without breakfast. Otherwise, eating the same breakfast for three days would be monotonous. You can buy the buffet breakfast directly at the front desk for 300 baht per person, and it ends at 10:30 AM. We tried it once, and the variety wasn't extensive, but the taste was decent. I recommend trying a flat white ☕ – it's very aromatic! The front desk ladies we encountered were all very friendly and provided service with a smile. 🙂💯 It's truly something else to experience two power outages on the island; it got unbearably hot in the room. The pool isn't big but is very clean, and there are lounge chairs on the lawn. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be that the shower 🚿 in our room (501) had very slow water pressure. Other than that, everything was great; it was a very satisfying stay! 👍🏻"

"Two lovely large Poole. Large spacious rooms. Great bathrooms. Safe and air con. Free water, tea and coffee. Beach towels available Gardens and grounds very well maintained. Dinning breakfast area and two bars. Pool bar serving lunch food too. Cocktail happy hour 3-5pm! Breakfast ok. Egg station, pancakes, toast, cereal and pastries. Lots off Asian and mixed pasta/noodle main meals on hot plates. No cooked full English available. Omelettes nice. Location is opposite Ao Nang beach. Centrally located near to ***** of bars and restaurants and boat taxis to get to Railey (100bht each way) Nearest 7-eleven is 8 min walk. Lots of lovely restaurants and further into town loud beach bars. Hotel itself very quiet and staff very helpful"

"We stayed here for our honeymoon. From the front desk to the service staff, everyone was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay, which made for a very pleasant experience. Our room, despite showing some age, was meticulously clean to the point where the age wasn't an issue at all! The bathtub was spacious, and they even provided bubble bath. We really appreciated the amenities, coffee capsules, and bottled water. Just a heads-up, you'll need to bring your own skincare products like cleanser and facial wash. We stayed in a pool villa, and the pool water was so clean and refreshing that we went for a dip twice a day, every day! Beach towels were also provided. The breakfast offered variety each day, and we thoroughly enjoyed it for all three mornings without getting bored. The coffee, made with an espresso machine, was a nice touch! Regarding access: when taking a bus from Krabi Airport, if you tell them you're going to Railay Beach, they'll drop you off at Ao Nam Mao Pier. From there, you'll need to buy a longtail boat ticket to Railay East Beach. The East Beach side has a pier, so you can disembark without getting wet, and the resort is conveniently located about a 30-second walk from there! Railay Beach itself is small, so there are plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. I would definitely want to stay here again if I come back to Krabi."

"STUNNING ROOMS & ECO-EFFICIENCY VS. A FILTHY, DANGEROUS POOL NIGHTMARE! (2/5 Stars)There is a shocking, unbelievable contrast in this hotel! While the room quality, the housekeeping staff, and the eco-friendly room concept are absolutely outstanding, the resort management completely fails when you step outside, delivering a loud, highly dangerous, and unhygienic health hazard.The Room & Eco-Concept are absolute Perfection (10/5 Stars): To be completely fair, the room itself deserves 10 stars. It is very spacious, smells amazing, and was excellently clean. The beds are super comfortable, and the mattresses/pillows are top-notch. The bathroom is huge, and the balcony is very cute. What I highly respect and love is their environment-friendly concept: They completely avoid single-use plastic waste. Toiletries are in large, refillable dispensers, and complimentary daily water is provided in sustainable glass bottles. They even have a ”My Green Day” program to skip room cleaning to save water and chemicals. This eco-policy is fantastic and exactly what I support!The Disappointing Towel Double-Standard: While the room focuses on saving resources, the pool management destroys this philosophy. They enforce a tyrannical rule: pool towels MUST be returned before 9:00 PM daily, or you face a shocking 800 THB fine. Because of this bureaucratic madness, guests are forced to return completely dry, unused towels (due to constant rain), which the hotel then throws into the heavy laundry anyway just to track their numbers. A massive, hypocritical waste of water and detergent!Absolute Biohazard & Injury Risk Pool Zone (See Pictures): I have traveled to 68 countries—including remote areas of India and Africa—but this pool zone is the most neglected, unhygienic catastrophe I have ever seen. It is an absolute health hazard and a severe injury risk for children! The floor tiles are covered in a thick layer of years-old black grime and incredibly slippery, slimy green algae where anyone will instantly slip and fall. The photos prove total abandonment: multiple flattened geckos are decomposing on the wet tiles, alongside massive, dead cockroaches and giant beetles rotting in algae slime that are simply never cleaned up. Underneath the sun loungers, you find disgusting clumps of human hair, and gross hair strands are literally hanging down from the dirty steps. The entire area is littered with loose plastic bags, cables, sharp plastic straws, and discarded cigarette butts. A filthy, heavily stained towel is simply thrown on the ground as a mat. Even the sunbed metal tension ropes are heavily rusted, sharp, and stick out dangerously right where people walk.Deafening Construction Site: The hotel operates as an active, open construction site without warning. Ugly green safety nets cover balconies right above the pool area. The noise from non-stop metal-flexing and drilling is unbearable, causing severe headaches within an hour. They keep it open out of pure greed instead of renovating during a temporary closure.Broken Infrastructure & Degrading Smoking Policy (See Pictures): The pool restroom is permanently locked (”Out of Order”) and completely unusable. The outdoor showers cannot be used either; they are heavily stained, and the drains are totally clogged with rotting leaves and discarded plastic spoons, leaving the filthy water standing there. Furthermore, smoking is strictly banned on private balconies, forcing guests down to a single trash can at the lobby entrance. There is absolutely NO roof or shelter over this spot! When it rains, guests are forced to stand completely unprotected under dripping trees in the absolute pouring rain next to a wet, stinking bin. There are no seats or tables, so you have to place your drinks directly onto the dirty, wet trash bin. Think twice before booking!"
