"Our train back from Machu Picchu was delayed, so we didn't get to the hotel until 10 PM. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by a cozy warmth. The turndown service was already complete, and there was even a hot water bottle. It was hands down the best night's sleep we've had so far on this trip. The hotel itself is incredibly stylishly decorated. Breakfast is a buffet, but you can also order à la carte. The coffee is excellent too. Highly recommend!"

"The photos don't do justice to the place! The hotel is fantastic--the location is close enough to the attractions but just outside of the main tourist area since it's up on the hillside, so it's the perfect combination of convenience and relaxation. The check-in process was so welcoming, we felt at home as soon as stepping into the hotel's courtyard. The views from the hotel were unbelievable; the breakfast was great; the rooms were very clean and has all the comforts you'd need. And don't miss the llamas in the backyard! The restaurant staff didn't seem very experienced but it was sufficient."

"This was an absolutely FANTASTIC stay experience and I recommend it to all travellers to Cusco. The house is conveniently located in the historic centre of Cusco and you can easily access restaurants, cafes, main attractions within a few minutes of walking. The Wanchaq train station is at most a 20-minute walk on the main street of Cusco, thereby making it very safe and easy at any time of the day. Taking an Uber, it is around 20 to 30-minute drive to the Cusco Airport, costing less than PEN 20. The main gates are locked at night for safety, though all staff will make sure that front desk service is still available 24 hours for anyone needing to exit or enter the premises. Communications is conveniently maintained through WhatsApp and made very easy. There is some street noise in the rooms at night including music playing from nearby shops, but that seems to be more prevalent on the weekends. The room and bathroom are well-maintained and have all the necessary amenities, including welcoming packets of coca tea. There is an electric heater in the room for nights with lower temperatures. Breakfast is made-to-order for every item, and it feels like a private restaurant experience. Eggs cooked any way are of top quality; juices are freshly squeezed; breads are toasted warm; coffee and tea are made fresh and refilled at a moment's notice; and the fruit salads are filled with copious amount of fresh fruit. Service is all top notch: homemade breakfast every morning, housekeeping at appropriate times, 24-hour service for late-night arrivals or early-morning departures, and answering questions for travellers - the hosts are absolutely warm and welcoming in every way possible. They also generously kept my large luggage in storage while I travelled to Machu Picchu for two days (coming back to stay again after), which made my trip very convenient. Again, I would recommend this to all travellers to Cusco, especially considering that the value for money is amazing."

"Amazing hotel and great staff. Breakfast is very balanced and good, especially the fresh orange juice. The hike up from town can be a little challenging due to the high altitude but it’s a very quiet place and with beautiful surroundings and view of the city. Highly recommended"

"The hotel converted into an ancient house is quite large inside and very local. There are many public rest areas and the courtyard landscape is beautiful. There are often surprises in corners, antique furniture decoration, and the atmosphere is full. The room is very spacious and the bathroom is large. There is a separate toilet and shower room. The independent balcony can rest and enjoy the street view. Luggage can be stored at the front desk and 2 minutes walk from the weapons square in the city center."

The restaurant offered a wide selection of Western and local specialties, including fresh fruit, bread, hot dishes, coffee, and Peruvian ingredients. Considering Cusco's high altitude, the breakfast was varied and provided a good energy boost, preparing guests for a day of travel. The guest rooms were modern and comfortable, with good quality bedding and overall cleanliness. While some rooms retained historical architectural structures, resulting in slight variations in room layout, they were generally well-maintained. It's worth noting that Cusco experiences significant temperature differences between day and night, and some rooms may not be very warm in winter. Additional heating can be requested from the hotel in case of low temperatures. Overall, Novotel Cusco's greatest strengths lie in its excellent location, rich historical atmosphere, and reliable international brand service. "This is a lovely family run hotel. We arrived late evening and the proprietor was waiting for us and helped us with the baggage. The room was clean and comfortable. It is less than 5 mins walk to the wanchaq train station that goes to machu picchu. They very kindly allowed us to keep our luggage at the hotel when we went to machu picchu without additional costs even though we didn’t have a return reservation with them. Will definitely stay here again"
