"I just want to say it doesn't live up to its five-star rating. The hotel is new and connected to the InterContinental, which is nice. The room isn't huge but it's modern enough. However, the service and amenities really don't match up. When I went to the gym to work out, the air conditioning was practically boiling – I called three different people and no one could fix it. Plus, one of the machines was making a strange noise, and even after a technician spent ages trying to fix it, it still wasn't resolved. And about the outdoor sofas outside the gym's glass wall: if that door is open, you really need to keep the area clean. I wanted to sit out there for a bit, but everything was covered in a layer of dust. Overall, for the highest prices in the country, you really need to deliver on that pricing."

"Taking a break in Yining during my Xinjiang trip, I stayed at the Ji Hotel. It's a well-managed chain hotel, and check-in was very fast. There's a laundry room on the 14th floor with plenty of washing machines and dryers, and they even provide hand-washing detergent, which is very convenient. Next to the laundry room, there are three fitness machines, so you can even work out while waiting for your laundry. Yining in late July was extremely hot during the day. I'd suggest increasing the air conditioning in public areas, as it felt a bit stuffy otherwise."
