During check-in, the front desk asked if I had reserved breakfast. I said I couldn't remember, and the front desk then offered a discount on two days of breakfast for an additional 99 yuan. Seeing my hesitation, the front desk continued to praise the hotel's rich breakfast and even offered to upgrade my room type. I said, ”This is the first time I've heard that a room upgrade comes with conditions.” The front desk replied, ”That's because you booked through Trip.com, not Huazhu Club.” It was truly speechless. The most dramatic part was that in the end, I checked my order and confirmed that I *did* have a breakfast reservation. I showed it to the front desk, and they instantly panicked, saying that I could just go directly to the restaurant then, and explained that their previous statement was because they couldn't see the Trip.com order details themselves. I suggest that All Seasons (Quanji) really needs to be more selective when hiring front desk staff.
