"Woman didn’t recognize our booking but luckily found us a room anyway. Wasn’t what we booked, but at least it was a place to sleep. No amenities we could enjoy. No shower soap, closed pool, breakfast was scant. More like a motel."

"It is very close to many attractions. There is a currency exchange point nearby. I would like to remind you that if you have RMB, try to exchange it into US dollars in Thailand. The exchange rate here is much worse. The international status of RMB is really X, it is not as good as ROC."

"Close to the airport and pet-friendly hotel! The hotel is located in a safe area, about a 15-20 minute drive from Quito airport. The grounds are very large and fenced. The hotel itself is designed in a colonial style. There are several lounge areas, both indoors and outdoors. There's a pool, sauna, Turkish hammam, and billiards. The room was very clean. I was happy that we could stay with our dog without an extra charge! Breakfast was also included in the room rate. For breakfast, there were fresh fruits, yogurts, smoothies, and a standard selection. The staff speaks English and are friendly and helpful with any questions. The atmosphere is very calm and safe."

"The hotel is in a great location, inside the old town, with a nice environment. The service is also very nice and considerate. They also provide airport pick-up and drop-off services. I am very satisfied with it and will definitely stay there again next time I go to Ecuador."

"It is tidy, and security is thorough as you have to use a triple key card. Since it is near La Carolina Park, the surrounding area is safe, and it seemed like a recently built building; the entire place, including the restrooms, was clean, making it a really pleasant stay. Simple cooking utensils are also provided, so you can buy ingredients from outside and cook your own meals."

Hotel Stubel Suites & Cafe

"Careful when booking at this hotel because despite guarantees you may not get what you are expecting. I booked a suite directly through the Stubel website while on the phone with the hotel front desk. They confirmed that the suite I was booking was on the third floor and had a balcony and a view of the valley. I told them it was very important to me to be on a high floor and they confirmed that I would not be lower than the third floor. I also sent a follow-up email reiterating my conversation with the front desk and confirming the balcony. Upon arrival I was given a suite on the first floor without a balcony and I was told it is impossible to change rooms today or at any time during my four night stay. My room smells like a swimming pool and the entire first floor is full of condensation. The view is of a tree and a fence. I was offered no compensation for this change. In fact I was not even offered an apology upon check-in. Since I checked in on a Saturday I was told I would have to wait two days to even speak with a manager, who will not be onsite until Monday. I am very disappointed with this hotel. It came highly recommended and I expected a more professional level of service."

Hotel Inti Quito

"The hotel is located opposite El Ejido Park, and there's a metro station nearby, so getting around is easy. We booked the room with a jacuzzi, with the bathroom downstairs and the bed on a mezzanine. However, the bed wasn't very comfortable; it creaked every time we moved! The room was also noisy, as it was located between the hotel entrance and the street behind. The service was a bit lacking; we had to ask several times for housekeeping and for the towels to be changed because they wouldn't dry due to the humidity. Breakfast was simple but good, served in a very small, intimate room. What redeemed the experience was the kind and attentive welcome from the owners."
