GGuest UserWe absolutely loved our stay at 山古民宿 Shangu Homestay. The room was spacious, well presented in ******* style, and kept wonderfully warm with underfloor heating. The window-side lounge area was so cozy that we didn’t want to leave after three nights. Dinner was a highlight—the ******* hotpot was delicious, with fresh yak meat, vegetables, and noodles. Breakfast included fruit, ******* butter tea, and tsampa, giving us a real taste of local traditions.
The host was incredibly welcoming and shared fascinating stories about ******* culture, nomadic life, and even how to make incense. During our stay, it snowed heavily, and our children had a fantastic time playing in the snow with the host. It was not just accommodation, but a cultural journey filled with warmth and unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

HHuazhuxiaoshenniniThe B&B is relatively close to Labrang Monastery. The B&B staff are warm and responsive to every request (I need a nail clipper). The B&B also provides a free dinner with two meals to choose from. The B&B does not have its own parking lot, so you need to park at the Labrang Monastery parking lot, which is about 200-300 meters away from the B&B. The breakfast is Tibetan-style, which I am not used to. There is no TV in the room and a lack of entertainment facilities. The location of the B&B is not easy to find. If you drive there, you need to contact the B&B waiter in advance. Although there were some minor problems in the middle, they were resolved in time.

The stuff is very friendly and as it was so cold during the breakfast in the dining room they offered me to eat in their private room where was worm. I am very thankful for that.

GGuest UserThe homestay is very large and elegant, with room for six rooms, allowing children to experience the ******* living style. The young man is also very enthusiastic, and the temperature difference between day and night is relatively large here. The surrounding environment is average and it is very close to the temple by car. The only drawback is that there is only one bathroom. If it is full, guests will have to queue up. Some guests are not hygienic and need to be considerate of each other, but the conditions of the local B&B are like this, which is not bad. The bedding is very clean.

There's a famous restaurant nearby specializing in ******* cuisine, which we tried and highly recommend!

AAnonymous UserI was very satisfied with this stay. The little girl and family warmly entertained us, took the initiative to help us carry our luggage, and ate a delicious yak beef hot pot. The accommodation room is spacious, bright and comfortable. I also tasted the boss's white cuckoo tea, which tasted very good. Thank you for your help, the best experience of this trip is here!

The room does not include breakfast, but the boss later gave it to me. It is generous. It is recommended to provide disposable sheets instead of blankets.

NNikoas4The hotel is extremely close to the monastery. Some people at the reception speak english and they can book you a private tour to visit the grasslands and the monasteries outside the city that otherwise would be unreacheables for 400rmb per vehicle. The room is big and the beds are warm.
