When I came to Xiahe, the luckiest thing was to live in the Tangka B&B of Niang Jihejia. As soon as she entered the door, the proprietress smiled and served hot Tibetan milk tea and Tibetan bread. The milk tea warms hands and hearts, and the bread has a natural flour aroma, and the more chewy it is, the more tasteful it is. The next morning, she even sent warm rice porridge and bread early, and was carefully taken care of all the way home. The wooden attic is beautifully carved, and the old-fashioned radio is full of songs with a sense of age. Time is slow here. Mr. Niangji is the third generation of Tangka painter. He took us into the beautiful wooden house, the walls hung, the cabinets were all Tangka, the red of cinnamon, the green of peacock, the blue of bluestone, and the expensive gold powder, each color from the depths of the earth, still bright as before after thousands of years. He sketched the lines for us, we grind paint color, this matter can not come, wrist to be stable, heart to be quiet, every stroke is a spit. We finally understand why Tangka is ”the art of practice” - painting is the Buddha, repair is actually the heart. Teacher Niangji loves to laugh and is very patient. He gave us guidance and explanation of Tangka, which lasted until one o'clock in the morning, without any urging or impatient. At that moment, the world suddenly quieted down, there was no car sound, no noise, and the subtle sound of paint on the cloth. We are all students who are diligent in learning, have endless questions, praise the teacher's love for Tangka, praise the charm of Tangka, and praise the depth of Tibetan culture. He said that the grandfather passed it to his father, and the father passed it to him. This craft is like a prayer wheel, and it is endless for generations. This homestay makes people go home not just for one night, but wrapped in a kind of sincerity and warmth, making people feel happy from the bottom of their hearts. I will definitely come again. If you’re considering staying here, just book it. After four years living in China, this was my farewell trip, and I was incredibly excited to experience ******* culture. I could not have chosen a better place. The family is simply wonderful. They arranged airport pick-up, helped me organize trips around the area, changed my breakfast so I could try authentic local food, prepared homemade yogurt for me every evening, and even introduced me to friends who spoke English. Their hospitality was beyond anything I could have expected. I have travelled extensively all over the world, and without a doubt this family has made this one of the best trips of my life. They even invited me to watch a movie projected onto the courtyard wall with them one evening – a memory I will always cherish. As for the hotel itself, it is spotless. I’m very particular about cleanliness, and everything was impeccable. The quality of the towels, bedding and furnishings was exceptional, and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. I stayed for five nights and was never bored. Xiahe has so much more to offer than many people realise. I honestly cannot recommend this place highly enough. My trip to Gannan ended, and I've been home for two days now. I have to add this belated review today. Location and Natural Beauty The hotel is nestled on the edge of the Sangke Grassland, offering vast grassland scenery as soon as you step out the door. On our check-in day, the welcoming owner offered to take us for a walk by a nearby stream. Verdant grass lay beneath our feet, dotted with wildflowers, the stream gurgled, and in the distance, cattle and sheep strolled leisurely. It felt like stepping into an untouched natural landscape. This immersive experience, detached from the hustle and bustle of life, was one of the greatest surprises of the trip. Service is in the Details What touched us most was the owner's thoughtfulness. Due to our tight schedule the next day, we planned to depart at 7:30 AM. We had planned to skip breakfast, but the owner specifically inquired about our departure time the night before and prepared a hot breakfast the next morning. Bread, milk tea, and side dishes...the simple fare held the most simple warmth, making us feel like family on a cool morning. This selfless enthusiasm far exceeds expectations of ”hotel service.” Summary This isn't just a hotel offering accommodations; it's a warm, grassland inn. If you're looking for a place on the Sangke Grasslands where you can experience local hospitality, this is definitely worth choosing. The owner's sincerity and the beautiful grassland scenery will be the most unforgettable moments of your trip.

We encountered a stormy night, and staying in the stargazing room was a fantastic experience! However, the shared bathroom we booked this time wasn't very convenient, so I would recommend booking a room with a private bathroom.

I came to play with my friends and chose this Xishe. The overall atmosphere is particularly comfortable. The decoration is simple and comfortable. You can take pictures everywhere. The soundproofing is good, no noise can be heard at night, and the sleep is particularly fragrant. Health is completely assured, and the toiletries are also complete. The boss is very easy-going, the response is super fast if there is a need, the price is really high, come here to play with eyes closed.

The service was so warm. They even presented us with Hada after we arrived. We were the only family staying in the hotel during the off-season in winter, but the service was not slack at all. The boss turned on the heating in our room in advance and prepared fresh yak yogurt, snacks and many other things. He really cared about us. I originally wanted to eat in the county town, but I ate directly in the hotel, which was also very good. The whole manor is very large. It is recommended that everyone stay here during the peak season. We will come again.

It's perfect for families and small gatherings with friends, and the photos turn out beautifully. The relaxed atmosphere was amazing. My stay at the Norbesor Hotel in Xiahe truly exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely fantastic, super close to Labrang Monastery. You can easily walk to see the temple's night view, and it's incredibly convenient for exploring and dining out. The area is also very peaceful. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and I could see distant mountain views right from my window. The facilities were complete, and the Tibetan-style decor was very distinctive, making for a very comfortable and restful stay. The ******* food at the hotel was such a delightful surprise! Their signature hand-pulled lamb was tender and flavorful, and the dipping sauce was incredibly aromatic. The portions were generous, and the taste was authentic. Plus, there were cultural song and dance performances, allowing us to experience local culture while dining. The front desk and restaurant staff were all very warm and helpful, responding quickly to any issues. My entire stay was comfortable and worry-free. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit! Overall, the value for money is excellent. Friends visiting Xiahe should definitely consider this place!

This hotel is located on the 18th floor. The entrance was a bit messy, but I really like the hotel. It has a large screen TV, refrigerator, automatic toilet (the bidet didn't work because I wasn't familiar with how to use it), free drinking water, and automatic curtains. It's almost perfect.

This hotel is quite conspicuous on the main street of Xiahe Town, with convenient parking lot. The hotel was built a long time ago and the facilities are old, but the transportation is convenient and there are many restaurants nearby.
