I chose this hotel for its good location, and that’s honestly its main positive. Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing in several ways. The first room I was given did not match the photos online. The bathroom design was poor, with no proper separation between the shower and sink, so the floor got wet every time I showered. The room floor was strangely warm at all times, which made it uncomfortable. When I asked about changing rooms, reception initially said it wasn’t possible because I was staying for eight nights, which didn’t make much sense. The next morning another staff member did change my room, but the new room had similar issues, and the shower leaked with weak water pressure. The reception staff often seemed more interested in chatting with each other than helping guests, and they didn’t seem very professional. I was also surprised by the hotel’s guest policy, I asked if a friend could wait in my room for an hour or two before his train, and I was told I’d have to pay as if he was staying overnight. In all my travels to more than 40 countries, I’ve never encountered such an inflexible policy. The breakfast was average, but hygiene could be improved, as I saw guests handling fruit with their hands instead of utensils and the staff didn’t do anything about it. This hotel has potential because of its location, but it needs significant improvements in maintenance, customer service, staff professionalism, and hygiene. I hope management takes feedback seriously and works to improve the experience.

The hotel service has improved compared to October 2025, when we were here last. The location is excellent, right in the new city center. The rooms are nice and beautiful, with good toiletries and comfortable pillows. However, breakfast has become a bit worse. The omelets aren't as tasty anymore, and champagne is no longer served at breakfast. Some of the mosaics in the pool have fallen off, and the jacuzzi had a strong smell of chlorine. Otherwise, everything else was up to standard!

This is the second time this summer I have stayed at this hotel and everything about it is excellent. From the reception area and the greeting I received to the room, restaurant and many other amenities. The staff around the reception area were always ready to help and very attentive in particular Doniyor who really made me feel that he was genuinely interested in making sure my stay was as pleasant as possible. The room was, just like the last time, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable with an excellent shower. A cheap and efficient laundry service is available. The breakfast buffet was first class with an excellent selection of food. I also ate lunch and dinner in the hotel and the restaurant food was wonderful. I ate all meals at the hotel over my two stays and I highly recommend it. Again the restaurant staff and in particular Elbek were very efficient and food recommendations were spot on. The hotel also offers a very well equipped gym, a sauna, steam room and pool free of charge for guests with a payable spa massage on request. I want to give a special mention to Malika, the young girl who owns small shop in the reception area selling beautiful hand made jewelry, rugs, scarves and other items. Almost everything is hand made and that which is not she clearly points it out. It is all very reasonably priced and I was very happy to buy several items from her.  I had an excellent stay at this hotel and would thoroughly recommend Swissotel Tashkent.  Finally if you are considering using Tashkent only as a stopover I would really recommend at least two nights and one full day as there are plenty of things to do including the metro stations, an outdoor train museum which was excellent, bazaars, a wonderful mosque and go take pictures of the Soviet-built Uzbekistan Hotel built in the Soviet Brutalist style with an Asian influence, absolutely beautiful and very different to the architecture found it Khiva etc. So I would advise, stay in Tashkent either at the start or end of your trip or both as I did and stay at the Swissotel. You will not regret it.

The hotel isn't located in the heart of Tashkent, but it's close to the airport and high-speed rail station, about a 10-minute drive away. Surrounded by residential areas, it's relatively quiet at night. The room wasn't large, but it was clean and tidy. The bathroom had plenty of hot water, and disposable toiletries were provided. Overall, it was a good value.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. It's a fantastic hotel located in a quiet neighborhood, boasting a cozy courtyard that hides three pools. As soon as we arrived, staff met us at the entrance and helped with our luggage. After completing the check-in formalities, we were shown to our room. The room was spotless and came with bottled water, replenished daily, along with toiletries, slippers, bathrobes, combs, and more. The air conditioning worked quietly even in the heat. Housekeeping was done daily. The next day, a buffet-style breakfast awaited us on the -1 floor. There was a rich selection, and we especially enjoyed the fresh fruits – melon and watermelon. Within the hotel grounds, there are three pools: one outdoor in the sun, and two indoor. There's also a Hammam and a Finnish sauna. Our stay at this hotel was worth every soum. We absolutely loved it. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Tashkent. The location is very close to the road leading to the airport, a 7-minute taxi ride. The city bus stops right in front of the hotel entrance.

This hostel is conveniently located near Tashkent City roads, making it very easy to get taxis. The staff's hospitality was excellent, which made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The showers and toilets were clean. However, the shower rooms have limited shelf space, so women might want to bring fewer toiletries and changes of clothes. The late check-out time was also a great help. The hotel surroundings offer stylish cafes, and there's a large shopping mall with a supermarket about a 15-minute walk away, making it a very convenient location for getting around. I highly recommend this hostel!

I was very satisfied with the room, and the hotel's overall facilities were excellent. The atmosphere was also great. The owners are Chinese, so communication was very smooth. The front desk staff was also very enthusiastic and helpful. Full marks! On a side note, the restaurant on the first floor is a Hunan cuisine restaurant, and the food is incredibly delicious.

We booked a room for one night – and that’s probably the maximum you can endure at this hotel. On the positive side, the room had heated floors in the bathroom, a wardrobe, a safe, a tasty breakfast in the morning, and panoramic windows in the dining area. That's where the good points end. The interior clearly needs renovation: the floor is worn laminate, which looks untidy. We booked a room that was 20-25 sq m, but in reality, it turned out to be about 15 sq m. But the main issue is cleanliness. In the bathroom, near the sink, there were dead insects on the wall. This isn't just unpleasant; it raises questions about the establishment's sanitary standards. Additionally, we were unpleasantly surprised by the headboard, which had dark stains, also indicating a lack of proper cleaning. If you're planning to stay here for several days, think carefully: the conditions, in my opinion, don't even meet basic standards. Also, a deposit equivalent to one night's stay is held upon booking and returned after check-out. The money is returned after a week, so don't expect to get it back the very next day.

The hotel breakfast was good quality. The rooms were well-maintained and clean. It's conveniently located, and the front desk helped me arrange a taxi to T2 airport, which only cost 50,000 Sum. Overall, the service quality is excellent, and the facilities are modern. I'd definitely recommend it.

The bed was comfortable, and all essential amenities were provided, including reliable Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a well-maintained bathroom. I especially appreciated the attention to detail in the interior design, which added a cozy and stylish touch to the stay. The location of Retro Palace is another strong advantage. It is conveniently situated near key attractions, restaurants, and transportation options, making it easy to explore the surrounding area without much hassle. Whether traveling for leisure or business, the accessibility of the hotel is definitely a plus. In terms of facilities, the hotel provides everything needed for a comfortable stay. While it may not be a luxury property, it delivers excellent value for money. The common areas are well-kept, and the overall ambiance is relaxed and inviting. I also found the check-in and check-out process to be smooth and efficient. One minor area for improvement would be the breakfast selection, which could benefit from a bit more variety. However, this did not significantly impact my overall experience, as there are many nearby dining options to explore. Overall, I would highly recommend Retro Palace to travelers looking for a comfortable, stylish, and reasonably priced accommodation. The combination of friendly service, convenient location, and unique design makes it a solid choice for anyone visiting the area. I would gladly stay here again in the future.
