Amazing
GGuest UserOverall, I really liked the hotel. It's perfectly located on a quiet street, yet everything you need is nearby, and it's convenient and affordable to get to any part of the city. The staff at reception were all very welcoming; the lovely girl, Esoza, was particularly pleasant, and all the male staff were polite and attentive. You can approach them with any request 👍😊. The standard room is quite small, making it difficult for two people to move around freely 😁, but it has everything you need: slippers, excellent soft towels, and in the bathroom, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, and a comfortable shower with good drainage (no water pooling on the floor) and multiple settings. It's convenient that there are full-length mirrors on the room door and in the bathroom. The plumbing is excellent, and the room's interior is well-chosen. The bed and pillows are comfortable and soft. A thoughtful touch is the direct phone charging capability in the outlets, no adapter needed 👍. There's also a kettle, cups, coffee, and tea. We found there weren't enough hangers for clothes – only two. But we asked reception, and they brought us two more!) Breakfasts were decent, though sometimes there was no hot food (except scrambled eggs), or no jam or yogurt, or the coffee machine wasn't working. I was surprised that during cherry and apricot season, the only fruits available at breakfast were sliced oranges, apples, and pears, which were clearly imported and quite tasteless. Nevertheless, the staff definitely try their best, and you certainly won't go hungry 😊. Kudos for having dried apricots and walnuts!👍 By the way, we read reviews about the Chinese restaurant nearby (next door). We went for dinner and really regretted it. Only one waitress understood Russian, and she recommended a dish of chopped chicken pieces – it was a total disaster, mystery chicken parts with lots of tiny bones, and incredibly spicy. For something more recognizable, we also ordered potato slices, supposedly like Korean carrots, but they turned out half-stewed, half-raw. For two dishes and green tea, only managing to eat half, we paid 400,000 Sum. We'll remember it like a nightmare 😔. Thankfully, we later found perfectly acceptable eateries 👍. Best wishes to everyone, and prosperity to the hotel! 🙏

GGuest UserIf the hotel cost $80-90, I wouldn't have any complaints, but we paid $250 a night and had certain expectations. 1. I asked for a second blanket – they brought a blanket and a duvet cover separately. I thought, 'Okay, I'll put it on myself.' As I started, I realized the duvet cover was wet 🤦♂️. 2. It rained heavily overnight, and the roof at Swissotel started leaking onto the drywall 🤦♂️. Thankfully, there wasn't a puddle, but the sound of water dripping from the roof onto the drywall was constant 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️. 3. In the morning, we asked to change rooms. We returned at 5 PM, and the staff went to check which rooms were available 🤷♂️. We went to our old room, and it hadn't been cleaned. 4. We returned to the new room in the evening, realizing not all our belongings had been moved, and it took a long time to find what we needed. They didn't even transfer the food from the fridge. The only positive was the polite staff. The hotel itself is very simple.

HHumanity ProjectGreat value stay with excellent breakfast in Tashkent We stayed at Viva Hotel in Tashkent and found it to be a comfortable and good value option. The location is convenient. It is about a 12 minute walk to Kosmonavtlar Metro Station, and there are plenty of markets and places to eat within walking distance. It is easy to get around the city from here. The room was very big and spacious. The beds were soft and very comfortable, which made for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was decent, with a western-style toilet and enough space for a comfortable shower. There is no TV in the room, and there are limited convenient plugs for charging devices. However, you can use one of the wall outlets that is normally used for the water boiler. The hotel provides tea and cups, which is a nice touch. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only one of the three staff members spoke English, so you may need to use a translation app to communicate at times. Despite the language barrier, the staff were still accommodating and tried their best to assist. Breakfast was excellent, with many options available. It starts early at 7:00 a.m., which is very convenient if you have an early morning train. If your train departs at 8:00 a.m. or later, you can still enjoy a quick breakfast before heading to the station. There are elevators to access the rooms. Soundproofing is acceptable, not perfect, but not problematic either. Overall, this hotel offers very good value for the price. The location is good, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are helpful. I would consider staying here again on a future visit to Tashkent.

HHossein Ali BagheriMy experience at this hotel was not satisfactory at all. The room I had booked in advance was not available upon arrival, and for the first night we were given a small and unsuitable room, which was very disappointing. During our one-week stay, the breakfast never changed and was very simple and limited. There were not even basic options like tea bags; instead, we had to brew loose tea directly in a glass, which is not acceptable for a hotel of this level. Most importantly, and quite frustrating, smoking was allowed in all areas of the hotel without any restrictions. This caused significant discomfort for me and my family. There should definitely be designated smoking areas so that other guests are not disturbed. Overall, this hotel seriously needs improvement in management, service quality, and basic hospitality standards.

GGuest UserThe room was very clean. I couldn't figure out how to use the TV; I couldn't get any channels, but I was too lazy to ask the hotel staff for help. Even if it did work, there were no Chinese subtitles, so I wouldn't have understood anything anyway. The shower water wasn't hot enough. For me, the temperature was just right, but if you like really hot water, you won't get it here. The hotel has a swimming pool, but it was January (winter) when I visited, so the pool was closed. Even if it were open, I wouldn't have gone in; I'm not looking to freeze to death in a foreign country. The breakfast was plentiful: milk, bread, cakes, juice, tea, jam, dried fruit, vegetables, sausages, cheese, and eggs – more than enough to go around. It's a shame there was no Hu La Tang (spicy soup), and don't even think about soy milk or fried dough sticks. The hotel staff were very friendly and patient. They could speak a few words of Chinese, but only ”a few.” Most of the time, they communicated using translation apps on their phones. To show respect, I recommend everyone learn to say ”Salom,” which means ”hello.” The locals will be very happy if you do.

CChou VinhhongI checked in around 8pm and was greeted by a staff in the evening shift (I did not asked his name). I asked for a SIM card if I could buy in the morning , he said could offer a free just need to top up tomorrow 9am his colleagues will settle. But early morning I was waiting for 9-9:30 there is no one knew about this . I also asked for late check out, he said could extend only til 1pm unless I will need to settle 50% extra and I agreed coz my flight is 22:30pm but in the morning when I came to settle late check out fee, there is again no one know how to do only they said they will check with their manager . I only stayed one night in Tashkent due to my flight need to overnight transit but the team make my stay very unpleasant and not comfortable. Again , I got a friend who come to visit me just 1hr, but the hotel did not allow and that evening staff again , stop my friend and said he can stay inside my room Only 3mn, if late than 3mn, he will call my room number or even send someone . he said this is hotel rule . Omg . The way he replied and did were so unprofessional and rude and very fiere like I am a criminal . Until I complaint and asked to meet manager couple times , he agreed to let my friend stay only 1hr and needed to pay a tourist fee. Bad service , not skilled team and I will never ever come back to this hotel again !

Vvia SophiaThis hotel is within walking distance of Tashkent's main landmarks, such as Amir Timur Square and Alisher Navoi Opera Theatre, as well as several large parks. The nearest subway station is about 800 meters away, and there are many famous restaurants (like Fish and Bread) and cafes around the hotel and even on the ground floor of the building. This means you can enjoy a wealth of amenities without having to travel far. Safety: Highly recommended for solo travelers. Located on a main street (Islom Karimov Street) in the heart of Tashkent, there's a consistent flow of people and good street lighting, making it very safe even when returning late at night. The luggage storage service is also very reliable, allowing you to securely leave your belongings while exploring other areas. Staff Friendliness: I felt a 'warmth like home' during my stay. The reception staff are incredibly friendly and proactive in resolving any minor issues or requests in the room. Breakfast: The breakfast spread, including fruits and cakes, is excellent.

ДДжони ФоксWe were choosing between this hotel and the Uzbekistan hotel which is nearby! Friends were staying in Uzbekistan! One of the downsides in comparing these two hotels is that they charged a tourist tax, so the accommodation was more expensive! Breakfasts are more modest, again in comparison with the neighboring hotel, but the main thing is there, except... Coffee 😬 Only for a fee! There is some in Uzbekistan 🙏 But... Initially, the guys in Uzbekistan were put in a room where their windows were not only blown in, but were blown away by the wind! An extra bed for a child, they just threw in mattresses 🫣 Only after swearing and other things, they changed them to a room with renovations! This hotel doesn't have such a problem! The room is large, quite warm! Clean, tidy! Yes, the renovation is certainly not fresh, but it's not worn out either 🙏 In general, you can live! The price and quality match! Otherwise, if you want the Soviet era, welcome to Hotel Uzbekistan! And if not, then to La Grande! There is also a swimming pool, I think with the hotter weather it will be open!

EEkaterina EA retro-style hotel. Pros: Good location, close to a metro station, bank, public services center, market, mobile store, and delicious food. Quiet courtyard. There's a water cooler. They ask daily if you need housekeeping. Cons: Bad mattress, the springs are very noticeable, even with a mattress topper. Poor breakfast. The only fresh vegetables are cucumbers. Eggplant and cauliflower are fried in batter. Sausages are cheap. The cheese is processed. For fruit, only apples, and they're bruised. Instant coffee. If you go at 8 AM, the food is fresher; later, it's reheated with added oil, eggs are quickly fried, and the whites remain runny. Lots of pastries, but they're not tasty. In a single room, there's only one cup. No kettle, and the water cooler doesn't have a hot water function. I chose this hotel because I had issues with another booking. I had to choose quickly, and options were limited during the holidays. The hotel offers discounts and bonuses, it seems like management is trying to attract guests. But it would be much better if management reviewed the menu and invested in updating the furniture. Upon check-in, you need to pay an additional tax amount. I paid cash, and they didn't have change. I had to ask for my change several times. They still didn't give me all of it back. So, be prepared with exact change. The hotel has a pool, but in my opinion, the water in it is murky. I didn't use it. And I didn't see it being cleaned. There are two sun loungers by the pool. However, there are large trees around, so sunbathing isn't really possible. Overall, my impression is a 3 out of 5. I wouldn't stay here again.
