The front desk staff were warm and friendly. The room was clean, and the kitchen was available for cooking. The surrounding area is very quiet and beautiful. The bed was comfortable, perfect for a relaxing stay in Wanaka.

Very good, the environment is also great, the only pity is that because the itinerary is tight, I can't feel better.

Had a great stay here! The backpacker hostel was clean, comfortable, and had a really friendly atmosphere. Staff were helpful and the location was convenient for exploring the area. Met lots of awesome travelers during my stay. Would definitely recommend for budget travelers!

Excellent atmosphere and very pleasant stay I spent a night at the Wanaka Adventure Hostel and I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is very comfortable, the hotel is clean, welcome and offers an excellent atmosphere. I've also made very nice meetings with other travelers, which made this step even more pleasant. I've spent a great time and I recommend this hostel to all those who are looking for a comfortable, warm and comfortable place in Wānaka.

We liked being able to walk into the centre, the food trucks across the road, the lovely stream next door, friendly staff, having a kitchenette. We didn't like the noise from other guests' aircon going all night. It was warm enough, there was no need to run aircon all night.

The location is first-rate, the parking is convenient, and the boss is good. If you are late, you will put the key in the mailbox at the door and leave a note on the door.

I booked this motel quite last minute but i'm glad they still have a unit available for us. we travelled in a group of 5 with my parents, so 2 bedroom is our minimum requirement, no starirs, and since we wanted to cook, having a kitchenette is also an important criteria, and Alpine Motel ticks all the boxes. The motel is very near to Lake Wanaka but we still drove there. Very convenient location and very comfortable. They have a laundry outside the room in case you are already in the middle of your trip and would need a laundry day. We went to the nearest supermarket to shop and cook dinner at the motel. You can park right in front of your unit, very convenient.

I stayed in a container-style room, which had a separate bathroom (toilet, shower, and sink) behind the container. The room itself was very simple: a small oil heater, a bed with small stools on either side, a single hanger right next to the entrance, and one chair. The oil heater was quite small, so it wasn't very effective. I woke up several times during the night because it was so cold, even after getting into bed. I even had to use my down jacket as an extra blanket inside the duvet. This might be fine in the summer, but winter mornings and evenings can drop below freezing, so I wish they had a larger oil heater. If you're sensitive to cold, you might want to bring a hot water bottle or an electric blanket. There's no kettle in the kitchen, so I assume you'd have to ask reception for hot water. For a solo traveler looking for something other than a backpacker hostel, I think the location, price, and service are pretty good.

I arrived late and left my key on the lobby door. I checked in the next day. There are two floors, one upstairs and one downstairs. The lower one has a garage. It takes about ten minutes to drive to the tree in Wanaka.
