Hotels with Parking in Te Anau

Very interesting house, we were arranged in a carriage, yes, a room converted from a train carriage, very unique. We arrived very late the night before and couldn't find the way to check in. The hotel manager also drove to guide us to check in after work. The next morning, he also prepared a very authentic and delicious homemade breakfast for us. This is the best room I have stayed in during this trip to New Zealand!

This hotel was a perfect place to stay the night before heading to Milford Sound. The owner is Chinese, and in the quiet town of Te Anau, he felt incredibly friendly. We departed from Queenstown that evening and arrived after our 8 PM check-in time. After contacting Ctrip customer service, the front desk responded quickly. Upon arrival, the owner had thoughtfully printed a note on the desk, and the room was immaculately clean. The drive to the sound takes two hours, and there's a self-service gas station nearby, making it very convenient for refueling before departure and back in Queenstown. Overall, the stay was excellent.

Wonder stay! The room is very clean and the staff is super friendly! This is a family run hotel, and they are nice people. The location is perfect-short walk to the lake and away from the hustle and bustle of the main road and town. We got good sleep in Aden .

This was the best holiday park we stayed at in New Zealand. The rooms were clean, and the common areas were spacious. There was even an oven, so we could have a barbecue. The location is also excellent – right across the road from Te Anau town center, close to the lake, and with a large supermarket and petrol station nearby. Definitely a place I'd want to revisit!

Love this place very much. Very clean and spacious room, there were elderly friendly toilet & bathroom ( we had another bathroom with bathtub). The kitchen is well equipped. The view overlooking the lake was superb. Jetty to glowworms just in walking distance (1km). Numerous restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance as well (1-1.5km). You can just park your car in the apartment and walk slowly along the lake to enjoy the stunning scenery.

The family room's beds, I believe both are two 0.9m beds pushed together, which made them quite large. Parking right outside the room was very convenient. The bathroom was spacious, but a bit empty; it would be better with some hooks. The shower gel and shampoo were in individual bottles, and should have been placed on a caddy in the shower, rather than under the sink. My child didn't even notice them and just rinsed with hot water. It would be even more convenient if there was an additional sink at the mini-bar counter. It's only a ten-minute walk to the Firefly Cave jetty, and about eight minutes to nearby restaurants, which is very handy. VILLAGE INN also has its own restaurant, but we arrived late at 7 PM on New Year's Eve, and they couldn't accommodate us. We were also rushing to catch the 8:15 PM Firefly Cave boat, so we didn't get to eat there.

I would have given this a 5-star rating. However, I deducted one star due to staff behaviour and a fire alarm that went off at 5:00 a.m., requiring guests to evacuate the hotel. Additionally, the staff could benefit from some customer service training, particularly in showing warmth and empathy toward guests. When we visited the front desk at 12:30 p.m. to enquire about an early check-in, the staff member was not at all understanding or accommodating. She bluntly say “No” and kept looking at her monitor without any reason.

Lovely warm clean comfortable motel. Fantastic shower and lots warm bedding. Just a teeny disappointed we didn’t see any staff or management our entire stay of three nights. Obviously staffing shortages in the area but would have appreciated a friendly face at some stage.

Good value for money. This accommodation focuses on functionality and practicality, making it ideal as a base for exploring Milford Sound/Doubtful Sound. Guests appreciated the comfortable beds, clean rooms, and convenient location near the lake.However, a few kitchen amenities would be helpful.

There is basically no service in foreign hotels. No one at the front desk left the key in the envelope and searched for it for a while. It would be better to specify the method of collecting the key when booking, especially on rainy days.
