Fiordland Lakeview Motel and Apartments

Unbeatable lake view, the room is large and clean, with two very comfortable sofa rocking chairs. There is also a full set of kitchen equipment for cooking. There is also a laundry room, which is very convenient for washing and drying clothes.

The room details stated that children were welcome, but when we checked in, we were told that if we added a child, we would not be able to book the room (because the child slept in the middle and did not need an extra bed, so only 2 adults were added during the reservation) and we had to cancel our reservation. They said the hotel didn't want so many guests and that the law didn't allow it. Finally, we were asked to pay an additional 30 dollars and were given the key. They originally added a $30 child fee (which would be completely understandable if they had told us directly), and we got the feeling that this hotel hated children and discriminated against Asians. The whole check-in process was very unpleasant. Overall facilities are acceptable and the location is good. But due to the bad check-in experience, I was in no mood to appreciate the beautiful scenery. Negotiations to cancel the stay were made throughout the evening, but to no avail. The manager had a tough attitude and did not apologize from beginning to end, which ruined my good mood for the whole day.

If you are heading to Milford Sound from Queenstown, it is a good place to stay for one night. It only takes less than 2 hours to drive to the sound the next day, avoiding the boredom of being on the road all day. The room faces Lake Te Anau and is very comfortable.

It is convenient to go to the fjord by staying in Teanau. This self-service apartment is very good in Teanau, with an unbeatable lake view. The facilities are not new, but very complete and have everything.
