On the Kumano Kodo (Kumano Kodo Trail), near the Kawayu stop, the onsen hotel I chose is right across from a natural river bath. The hotel offers free shovels so you can dig your own bath in the river. I recommend bringing a swimsuit. The hotel also has its own indoor and outdoor public onsen. I booked a room that included the outdoor bath. Staying only one night might be a bit too much. I booked a one-night, two-meal package. Without meals in the mountains, you'd probably only be able to eat instant noodles. The Kumano beef served here was excellent. There's also a dedicated bus stop at the entrance with direct buses to Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine and Shingu.

An old hot spring hotel located at the innermost of Tangfeng Hot Spring Street. You need to climb a small slope. Those with suitcases need to pay attention. You should be able to ask the hotel to pick you up. The hotel room is spacious and the facilities are a bit old, but the hygiene is good, the service staff is lovely, the dinner is also a standard Japanese set meal, the large bathroom has open-air and indoor, the water temperature is hot enough, you can recover your physical strength very well, and there is a car to take you to the bus station of Tangfeng Street in the morning.

From the Kumano Kodo, walk to Hatshinmon Prince and take a bus to the hotel. The ride takes about 40 minutes. Remember to check the bus timetable before hiking. The last bus down the mountain is at 4:30. The room size is very good, and the price is not expensive for a room with two meals. There is a single bathing pool, but the water temperature is not very hot. The location of the hotel is quite remote. Remember to book dinner and breakfast. There is no place to eat around except the large bathing area. You can book a free bus to Hongu Taisha or Fashinmon Prince on the next day.

Kumano Honno is the hometown of hot springs. It includes Tangzhifeng Hot Spring, Chuantang Hot Spring, and Duyu Hot Spring. Compared with the famous Chuantang Hot Spring, the Duyu Hot Spring Hotel we booked is more niche and quieter in a small mountain. The hotel has three floors, each floor is 10 and the foreign room. We arrived at the hotel at 1 pm. There was no regular told to check in after 3:00. We were very enthusiastic to help us check in and introduce the soup rules. The room is large, twin bed + tatami, facing the river bank, the window is cherry blossoms. There are two hotels and four soup pools, you can soak, there is the largest open-air wind in Western Japan and the Japanese family special loan cut open-air wind. The dinner was very delicate and the breakfast was very delicate.

It's near the Hongu Taisha Shrine station on the Kumano Kodo trail, but it's a 20-minute walk from either station, and walking along the roadside is dangerous. Be careful when hiking. The nearest supermarket is over a 15-minute walk away, making it difficult to restock supplies. They charged for my child (two adults and one child), but the sofa bed was completely uneven and unusable. The good thing is that they provided three meals a day. Dinner and lunch were boxed meals, but they were very cold. Breakfast bread was delicious, and there was plenty of clean water. The washing machine and dryer worked very well. I didn't receive the hotel's reference number email when booking through Ctrip, so I couldn't check in myself. I had to call the hotel to get the email. I've booked through other sites under *********** before, and I always received the email directly.

There are fewer restaurants near the hotel. You can go to the hot springs when you stay in the hotel. Although the facilities are very old, it is really comfortable to soak in the soup after hiking! ! The front desk does not speak English but the service attitude is very good, it is still very recommended

The room was very clean. The landlady was kind and could communicate in Chinese using a translation software. I ordered her breakfast for 800 yen and it was very comfortable. I didn’t know what to choose from the meal. I just ate what she made and I was very satisfied. This B&B can pick you up from the station. I don’t speak Japanese, so I can only walk there. When I left, she drove me to the station. I liked it very much! The bus runs twice a day, and it’s difficult to take a taxi. The pick-up and drop-off is very pleasant.
