✨ A hidden gem in Taizhou: Fuchen Yin 府城隐 What makes this hotel truly special is its incredible story — a beautiful transformation from an old 财神庙 (temple of the God of Wealth, so yes… extra good fortune vibes 😉) and a historic printing factory into a serene luxury retreat. Tucked away in a quiet residential alley and accessible by buggy, the hotel feels like a secret escape from the busy world. The moment you step inside, you feel a sense of calm. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with generous spaces to unwind, relax, and simply enjoy the moment. My favourite corners? The library, where I spent time getting lost among the books, and the piano area, where I happily played a few tunes. These little details made the stay feel more like a home away from home rather than just a hotel. The breakfast was an absolute highlight — a celebration of Taizhou’s local flavours. I loved discovering so many regional specialties: 🍵 青草糊 — a refreshing grass jelly dessert with a wonderful touch of peppermint that made it even more refreshing 🍜 姜汤面 and 芋头面 — comforting local noodle dishes 🍰 三色糕 🍚 乌饭麻糍 (with red bean filling) 🥟 扁食 …and so many more delicious local treats that I wish I had a bigger stomach! They even helped me buy the famous 海苔饼 — the whole reason I came to Taizhou — and it arrived piping hot. Truly the kind of thoughtful service that makes a trip memorable. The hotel facilities are exceptional. From the beautifully designed spaces to the thoughtful amenities, everything has been carefully considered. The bed deserves a special mention — probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. They also provide turndown service, luxurious toiletries, and a complimentary minibar (which, by the way, included local rice wine 🍶 — just saying 😉). A huge thank you to every member of the Fuchen Yin team for making my stay so warm and memorable. The combination of history, design, local culture, incredible food, and heartfelt hospitality makes this one of the most unique stays I’ve experienced. Definitely a place I would love to return to. 🤍

Amazing? Outstanding?? It just amazes me how anyone who has really travelled could give such a description , or perhaps they do not know the meaning of those words! For a hotel whose bathroom/toilet has no hooks no bars whatsoever to hang even the smallest of towels and with a shower wand in such a fixed position that if you’re not extra extra careful, then you get water all over the toilet as there’s no door to the shower. Isn’t this amazing?? And certainly not outstanding.  Appreciated the pickup service on arrival. Arranged for a departure transfer to station but after 10 minutes past the appointed time, decided to walk out to the Main Street and called for  a didi instead. Room was large but what a teeny weeny unstable “table” if one could call it and no movable chair. Location was near enough to the main part of city attractions. No breakfast, nor laundry facilities. Do not expect much of any service apart from room being cleaned as there no proper hotel reception services per se.

The hotel service was excellent. They offered us lemon water during check-in, and since we had booked two different room types, they proactively upgraded us to two rooms of the same type. The rooms were spacious with bright floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of distant mountains. The bathroom facilities were good, and the countertop was very wide, making it convenient to place items. They provided disposable bathtub liners and bath salts. The bathroom design was well-thought-out, and housekeeping was prompt. The breakfast was great, featuring local Taizhou specialties like Wufan Maci (black rice mochi), glutinous rice, and seaweed cakes. The noodle station served good noodles. The fruit was fresh, and the Huangyan tangerines were delicious! 😄 Coffee was available in to-go cups. Parking is in the building's underground garage. You'll need to scan a QR code at the front desk before leaving. However, the underground garage was quite stuffy and hot. If you're driving, navigate to 'Taiyun Jingjiang Center Underground Parking' instead of the hotel name, otherwise, you'll have to drive around... A downside is that the elevators are slow. There are other businesses in the building, including a Hanting Hotel, and the elevators are shared, so you might have to wait a while during peak hours. The laundry room is also shared with Hanting and is quite clean, but it tends to get crowded.

The location of the hotel is too suitable for the heart. It is not far from the ancient city street. It is very comfortable to walk around the small shop. The surrounding famous products, drinks shops, and restaurants are all available. It is convenient to purchase and order takeaway. The room is clean and dry, the facilities are complete and easy to use, and the bedding is skin-friendly and sleeps peacefully. The service staff is intimate and polite, the overall quiet is not noisy, the girls feel safe to stay alone, the price is very high, very recommended!

It is indeed a newly renovated hotel, the bedding, the facilities are new, the latex pillows are very comfortable, the room is not big, but clean, there is a parking lot, the noodle shop downstairs is good, and it is convenient to eat and drink around.

We booked a standard twin room, but received an upgrade to a nicer room, plus free breakfasts. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is good, with good quality soap and shampoo. The large-screen TV had a wide choice of movies for 15rmb. The hotel is located right beside an old gate to the old town... a short walk to the East Lake. We enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast buffet changed in the two days we were there. Good both times. They Have COFFEE! JinJiang has become my go-to choice in hotels when I travel in China.

The room was very clean, and the hotel service was very good. I was supposed to check out before 2:00 PM, but after explaining the situation to the front desk, I checked out at 2:30 PM. The only problem was the soundproofing was a little poor. Last night after 3:00 PM, there were still men and women chatting and laughing next door. Otherwise, there was nothing to complain about. It was also very convenient to sell food nearby. I will book this hotel again next time I'm in this area. Please ignore the poor pixel of my phone 😂

I really hit the jackpot finding this hotel for my business trip. The location is excellent, they have free parking, and even a self-service laundry. The front desk staff were also very good. It's truly great value for money and quite clean, too – one of the better hotels I've stayed at recently!

This hotel is quite charming—it’s a large, old house that has been nicely converted into several hotel rooms. Our room was very comfortable. However, a heads-up regarding the bathroom: there was no door on the toilet area, and the shower was an all-glass enclosure. Since I was traveling with my husband, it wasn't an issue for us, but if you are traveling with friends, you might want to be aware of this lack of privacy. The location is excellent! It’s right next to the City Wall and super close to several great restaurants and cool bars. We also liked the service; the staff were quite attentive. One thing I found confusing, though, was that they didn't register my address as per the usual government standard for foreign guests, which most hotels in China follow. As for cleanliness, it was standard for China—there were a few stray hairs in parts of the room (usually women's hair), but I find this happens in practically any hotel here. Overall, it was a good stay!
