"Newly renovated, the rooms are exceptionally clean, and even the toilet seats are heated, which is a really nice touch. From the second-floor balcony, you can see three towers directly, and enjoying a drink on the terrace in the evening is absolutely delightful. The guesthouse's location is also excellent; turn right and a 3-minute walk takes you to a local wet market, which has a wonderful vibe. Turn left, and in about 5 minutes, you'll reach Ziyang Street. Food and drinks are all within easy reach. Plus, the guide the owner sent us was super helpful. Thumbs up! I'll definitely stay here again next time. When we checked in, they even gave each of us a cup of grass jelly drink, which was a very warm welcome."

"The environment here is absolutely fantastic. In the front, there's a bookstore and a cafe, while the back features the accommodations. The layout with two courtyards/patios, and the whole concept of renovating an old house, feels very sophisticated. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design; the space feels fluid and open, yet still maintains partitions and privacy. My room was upgraded to a second-floor unit with a skylight – it was incredibly romantic to read while listening to the rain. Every corner of the courtyard is picturesque, perfect for photos.
The room's amenities and little details were thoughtfully provided, and the service was impeccable. I'm very satisfied and will definitely stay here again."

"Nice hotel, close to the Great Wall and East Lake. We were foreigners who don't speak Chinese, but the staff was helpful and we managed to communicate through a translator. "Linhai in early April was absolutely beautiful! Over the holiday, I experienced both glorious sunshine and the misty, rainy charm of Jiangnan, taking in a variety of captivating sights. The New Century Mingting Hotel is perfectly situated between Ziyang Street and Donghu Lake, with both just about 500 meters away, so I walked everywhere during my entire stay. There were also diverse dining options; I checked out Rong Xiaoguan and a local old-style restaurant. The hotel was clean and the service was warm. When it started to drizzle on my way to Donghu Lake, the concierge even offered an umbrella! 🌂"

"This guesthouse is relatively new and perfectly situated right by Ziyang Street, making it incredibly convenient to step out for a stroll and grab a bite anytime in the evening. The room comes with a Xiaodu smart device, which is quite handy. The entire place was spotless, providing a wonderful living experience. The auntie's breakfast was made with fresh ingredients and tasted delicious. She mentioned that the wonton filling is made from meat bought fresh every morning, and there were also some homemade Linhai local snacks (I forgot the name). There's even a small garden on the rooftop – it’s a lovely spot to chat and relax in the cool breeze. The guesthouse also boasts a gym and laundry room, which is quite a rare find. Although I didn't get to use them this time, they looked very well-maintained. Overall, it offers great value for money. If you're visiting Ziyang Street, I'd definitely recommend staying here."

"Coming to the sea for the second time.
Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was renovated in 2023, but I don't know why the air conditioning and heating don't work. (There is hot air, but it’s never very warm!) A quilt was added to the back!
There was also a tour group for senior citizens on the first night. They checked out very early the next day. Ping ping ping pong.
The location of the hotel is good, you can walk to Longxing Temple and Ziyang Street. And East Lake, Range Rover Gate!
The cleaning staff are very prompt! ! The hygiene is quite good."

Guest UserA low-key and cozy mountain B&B. The room is not big but very comfortable. The two owners had their own unique insights into the decoration and management of the B&B, and they had a very good chat. The dishes on the dinner table are the taste of the mountains, simple and delicious. In the early morning, I woke up to the chirping of mountain birds. Outside the window, I saw the distant mountains and mist, the clear stream, the white goose and the old trees. I suddenly felt like I was in the Tang and Song Dynasties.

LvsusudebanbanmaoCao Su almost satisfied all my imaginations of a secluded countryside, with a quiet village, trickling water, stone walls and green tiles, and bamboo forests rustling in the wind. Unlike Beijing, where I live, the mild and humid countryside in the south of the Yangtze River touched me almost instantly.
Back to Cao Su, the owner Shuicao is enthusiastic and gentle, the aunt in the store is kind and amiable, and the two dogs in the yard, Xiaohei and Heijian, are extremely smart and well-behaved. The best mornings and nights here are when you can stroll around the village or sit in the yard and read after eating the healthy breakfast prepared by the aunt in the morning. At night, you can listen to the chirping of insects and lie on a recliner to watch the stars in the sky. Returning to nature is really realized here.
This morning, I left the store and returned to Beijing. Xiaohei and the aunt were not sent to the village entrance by me. I think I will come back, because Cao Su not only has scenery, but more importantly, it has human touch.

Guest User📍 Fantastic Ambiance: The 539-year-old camphor tree in the hotel's courtyard is an absolute ”treasure of the house.” Its lush green stature gives the hotel a unique historical charm. A morning stroll under the tree makes time feel like it slows down.
💁 Top-Notch Service: The butler service deserves a huge shout-out! Their response time was incredibly fast, truly ”answering every question.” They not only offered great travel advice but also meticulously arranged our daily needs, which was incredibly thoughtful and heartwarming.
🥣 Dining Experience: Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, featuring all local specialties. We didn't need to search for guides to enjoy authentic Linhai flavors, starting the day off with great energy. The evening bar service was also good, with well-made cocktails. The reading room had a wonderful, quiet, and elegant atmosphere, perfect for unwinding.
📝 Minor Drawback: Just a small suggestion – while the bar's service and drinks are excellent, there isn't a non-smoking section. This slightly detracts from the experience for non-smoking guests.
Overall, the minor flaw doesn't overshadow the positives. It's a hotel with warmth and style, and I would definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Linhai!

Anonymous UserThis hotel is quite charming—it’s a large, old house that has been nicely converted into several hotel rooms. Our room was very comfortable.
However, a heads-up regarding the bathroom: there was no door on the toilet area, and the shower was an all-glass enclosure. Since I was traveling with my husband, it wasn't an issue for us, but if you are traveling with friends, you might want to be aware of this lack of privacy.
The location is excellent! It’s right next to the City Wall and super close to several great restaurants and cool bars.
We also liked the service; the staff were quite attentive. One thing I found confusing, though, was that they didn't register my address as per the usual government standard for foreign guests, which most hotels in China follow.
As for cleanliness, it was standard for China—there were a few stray hairs in parts of the room (usually women's hair), but I find this happens in practically any hotel here.
Overall, it was a good stay!

I just wish the room was a bit bigger, but it was still comfortable for me and my friend. It's right on Ziyang Street, very close to East Lake, and next to Shanxing Gate, so the location is fantastic.

This is a new hotel within walking distance of the great wall and food street. Around the corner there are tons of eateries, you won't have trouble finding dinner here.
Check-in was smooth and the rooms are brand new and super clean. This hotel had the best breakfast I had during my 2-week trip in China. Great coffee, and it included local dishes and snacks (the seaweed filled cookies are so good!).
Staff was attentive, and would help you whenever they can, and you get a small token of appreciation during checkout (cookies!)
I wish I had a bit more time in Linhai, and this hotel was part of the reason!

The staff and management were extremely supportive, polite, and always ready to help with any request. Their warm hospitality truly made us feel welcome. The rooms were spacious and cozy, and the overall environment of the hotel was calm and relaxing.

The price is cheap and the quantity is sufficient. Parking is also very convenient. If you want to climb the Taizhou ancient city wall, it is only a few hundred meters away from Lansheng Gate and passes by Donghu Park, which is very good.

The room was very clean, and the hotel service was very good. I was supposed to check out before 2:00 PM, but after explaining the situation to the front desk, I checked out at 2:30 PM. The only problem was the soundproofing was a little poor. Last night after 3:00 PM, there were still men and women chatting and laughing next door. Otherwise, there was nothing to complain about. It was also very convenient to sell food nearby. I will book this hotel again next time I'm in this area. Please ignore the poor pixel of my phone 😂
