GGuest UserIt was the first time I brought my baby to Shanghai and wanted to find a clean and quiet B&B. I looked at many B&Bs on Ctrip and finally chose Xingshuli. The boss communicated in advance and helped us carry our luggage. He was very considerate. The environment is indeed very quiet and suitable for relaxing. , the boss and his wife knew that we had a baby and helped us upgrade the room for free. They were so loving~ It is worth mentioning that the cooking skills of the boss's wife yyds! Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all delicious🤤. I communicated with the boss for a while in the evening. The boss’ craftsmanship is admirable. The carpentry in the room was all done by the boss himself, and the bedding was so comfortable ~ I couldn’t bear to leave until I left🥹 The boss also gave me handmade brown sugar as a gift. If I have another chance in the future, I will definitely come back~

LLvsusudebanbanmaoCao Su almost satisfied all my imaginations of a secluded countryside, with a quiet village, trickling water, stone walls and green tiles, and bamboo forests rustling in the wind. Unlike Beijing, where I live, the mild and humid countryside in the south of the Yangtze River touched me almost instantly.
Back to Cao Su, the owner Shuicao is enthusiastic and gentle, the aunt in the store is kind and amiable, and the two dogs in the yard, Xiaohei and Heijian, are extremely smart and well-behaved. The best mornings and nights here are when you can stroll around the village or sit in the yard and read after eating the healthy breakfast prepared by the aunt in the morning. At night, you can listen to the chirping of insects and lie on a recliner to watch the stars in the sky. Returning to nature is really realized here.
This morning, I left the store and returned to Beijing. Xiaohei and the aunt were not sent to the village entrance by me. I think I will come back, because Cao Su not only has scenery, but more importantly, it has human touch.

GGuest UserI spontaneously decided to visit Linhai and booked this hotel before I left, primarily for its underfloor heating and location.
**Pros**: The location is convenient, inside the scenic area, with plenty of food options nearby, and not far from Xingshan Gate. The hotel has a charming, ancient feel and is clean and tidy. The underfloor heating was an absolute must for a winter stay.
The room isn't very large, and the shower area doesn't have a non-slip mat; the partitioned space has glass on two sides. The breakfast is small but decent.

XXueboluoThe loft room is suitable for families with children, with 2 large beds upstairs and downstairs. The decoration design is simple and low-key, and the public areas are all holy places for filming. Backed by Jinshan Mountain, there are plum trees outside the window, and you can see the Thousand Buddha Pagoda from the balcony. The hotel is on Chicheng Road, a stone's throw away from Ziyang Street, and it only takes three to five minutes to walk to the ancient city wall. It is very convenient. It only costs eight or nine yuan to take a taxi to Donghu Lake and Renmin Road Seafood.

GGuest UserThis is a new hotel within walking distance of the great wall and food street. Around the corner there are tons of eateries, you won't have trouble finding dinner here.
Check-in was smooth and the rooms are brand new and super clean. This hotel had the best breakfast I had during my 2-week trip in China. Great coffee, and it included local dishes and snacks (the seaweed filled cookies are so good!).
Staff was attentive, and would help you whenever they can, and you get a small token of appreciation during checkout (cookies!)
I wish I had a bit more time in Linhai, and this hotel was part of the reason!

GGuest UserClose to the old city, this Atour hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to the lake. It’s convenient to all types of public transportation if needed (public bus, taxi, scenic town bus route between wall gates..) and central so everything is within walking distance if you’d prefer to walk. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. Atour is a great hotel group to stay with when traveling and their quality is consistent wherever you are.
