It was almost 8 PM when we got back from Shantou, and the hotel even thoughtfully called to remind us about check-in. The hotel was conveniently located not far from the highway exit. The room layout was well-designed; though not super new, it was perfectly adequate. Soaking in the hot spring tub on the balcony was a great way to wash away the travel fatigue. It's a shame that guests upstairs were still being loud late into the night, but thankfully we're used to going to bed late. In the morning, you can look down from the balcony and see the hot spring pools; there aren't many, but the environment is lovely. Breakfast was decent too. Upon checkout, they even gave us some Longmen local specialties. I'd definitely recommend this hotel as a good rest stop during your travels.

We visited on Children's Day, which was a Sunday. We arrived around 2 PM and there was a huge queue for check-in. I suggest opening more counters when it's busy, as having to wait in line after traveling a long way really sours the first impression. Once we got to the room, we found a layer of dust on the table when we touched it, and there was still a pair of slippers from the previous guest. There was even sand on the bed. Those were the downsides. On the positive side, the sand on the beach was very fine, and the staff were all incredibly patient and friendly. The hotel's facilities were great for kids, and at checkout, they even asked about our stay and gave our child a small gift. All in all, if the hygiene was better, it would have been a perfect score.

Pros: 1. Plenty of activities, so you'll never get bored. Of course, just relaxing and enjoying the sea breeze is also a great option. 2. The room faces the beautiful Twin Moon Bay, so it's worth setting an alarm to wake up early and step out onto the balcony to watch the sunrise. Cons: 1. The room design is really odd. There's no separation between the wet and dry areas. It's the first time I've seen the washbasin directly behind the bed, and shower water even reaches the foot of the bed. 2. The beach directly in front of the hotel has two downsides: first, the water contains a lot of black mud and sand, and second, the sand on the beach is so coarse it hurts your feet. Other: If you don't want to go out for breakfast, definitely book a room with breakfast included, otherwise, 108 RMB per person is really painful. Luckily, the butler was thoughtful enough to send over some fruit.

2024/04/05-08 Park Plaza Hotel in Nankunshan in Guangdong The hotel's meals are truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in China! They have put so much effort into my food, who cannot eat everything. The weekend there was really pleasant even though it was raining badly all the time. After I talked to the hotel and a manager for about 2 hours that evening when I arrived, to find out if they would be able to give me something to eat, because I'm allergic to several things, I really did not expect much. They said they would bring it to my room... What a pleasant surprise the next morning and the 2 other mornings !!! The most beautiful and most delicious food you can imagine!! Wow and they are far from cities, thus they prepared it with what they had!! 😊🌸🌻👍🏻 The staff were also so polite and friendly!! Unfortunately there was no map of the resort and also not clear signs. I couldn't understand the cryptic directions to the hotsprings the reception gave...😱 Thus I had to wait till the lights came on, then I could see where the lights at the pools were .. Perhaps they can put a ”roof” or cover over some pools, then it will be more enjoyable when raining... Because if the rain, the roof swimming pool was closed, but beautiful view from there. There are so many beautiful nature places nearby to explore and fir hiking, but unfortunately the weather was not good as the rain was pouring! Perhaps the hotel can buy the ugly murals or ruins or half-built buildings that damage and interrupt the beautiful views of trees... It is really a sore eye in the beautiful view... then they can renovate and finish the buildings... I really hope one day I can go again!! But everywhere I have been telling people of this great hotel and will keep on doing it!! 👍🏻🌻😊

We stayed here as a family during our trip through Guangdong. The hotel has some strengths, but I wouldn’t consider it a high-end resort. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and quick to help with any questions. Service was definitely one of the best parts of our stay. However, the hotel itself didn’t meet our expectations. It is not located directly on the beach, and the beach area was not very clean during our visit. The swimming pool is relatively small and mainly designed for children, so it isn’t ideal if you’re looking for a relaxing resort atmosphere. The hotel was also very crowded with families, making breakfast and public areas quite noisy. Breakfast offered a good variety of food, but it felt more like a busy cafeteria than a four-star resort restaurant. The seafood buffet dinner was disappointing. The seafood quality was average, and some dishes, including the fish, were served in very limited portions. The location is another drawback. It takes a long time to reach the hotel from either Shenzhen or Guangzhou airports. Personally, I think there are better beach destinations around Shenzhen where you can enjoy a similar vacation without spending hours traveling. Around the area, taxi prices for tourists also seemed inconsistent, so I recommend booking activities through the hotel whenever possible. Overall, I think the hotel offers fair value for the price, but I would rate it as a good standard family hotel rather than a luxury beach resort. It is probably a better choice for Chinese families traveling with children than for international travelers looking for a quiet seaside holiday. I would rate my overall experience 3 out of 5.

I was a bit worried after seeing some negative reviews before coming, but it turned out okay! Apart from the food, the room was clean and tidy, spacious, and had no musty smell. The AC was a bit too powerful; even on the lowest setting, I could distinctly feel the cold air blowing on me while sleeping. The balcony door was super heavy, and the AC would automatically turn off when opened. After opening and closing it, there was a 50% chance the AC wouldn't turn back on automatically, requiring manual restart, which made going in and out a hassle. You couldn't access the beach directly from the pool area's gate; you'd be stopped, though many people just climbed over the wall to get to the beach. My main dissatisfactions were: someone flew a drone directly at my balcony, and quickly flew off after I took a picture of it. Folks, don't assume privacy isn't an issue just because your balcony faces the ocean; there are drones trying to snoop around. Also, the breakfast and dinner buffets were the worst I've ever had for this price range in all my years of traveling. I didn't even feel full after either meal; the selection was small and the food was just plain awful, absolutely terrible!

This Thai-style resort in Huizhou Shuangyue Bay offers an excellent experience. It boasts a private beachfront right outside, and the infinity pool on the 31st floor provides breathtaking panoramic views, perfect for photos. The rooms are spacious, and the balcony features a scenic bathtub, making it incredibly relaxing to lie back and watch the sunrise over the ocean. The water park and children's water fort are well-equipped, making it a one-stop destination for family fun. The front desk service is attentive, and the breakfast offers a wide variety, with the Thai-flavored dishes being particularly distinctive. However, the sand on the beach is indeed a bit coarse.

I was torn between booking Tan Yue Howard Johnson and Dusit Thani, but I ultimately chose the former, mainly because I thought it had more water entertainment facilities. However, our timing was unfortunate as we arrived just as Typhoon Hato was making landfall. We only got to experience the hotel's full amenities and activities on Friday afternoon. By Saturday morning, the beach was closed, and in the afternoon, the pool closed too, leaving us only the health club to wander around. The hotel's hardware is a bit dated, possibly due to its age, but the service was excellent, especially our butler, Lily. As soon as I added her on WeChat, she proactively checked in on us and asked daily if we needed anything. On Sunday, due to the typhoon, all the restaurants around the hotel were closed. The hotel thoughtfully provided a complimentary Chinese set meal and a buffet dinner, which was very considerate. I hope to avoid typhoon season next time I visit, so I can fully enjoy the hotel's beach and pool.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and cozy, with very new and well-equipped facilities. The only minor issue is that it gets quite busy on weekends, especially the elevators and restaurants.
