New Hotels in Seoul

"The hotel is relatively new and very clean. The location is excellent, situated between Euljiro 4-ga Station on Line 2 and Chungmuro Station on Line 4, both just a few hundred meters away. Gwangjang Market is also only about a kilometer away. Customer service does respond to emails, but they only answer one out of two questions, which is strange. The downside is that the housekeeping staff is absolutely terrible. I stayed for 4 days and only requested cleaning twice. The first time, they knocked over my water glass and didn't even bother to pick it up – how could they not see that? It got my backpack wet, and my laptop was inside! Luckily, only a small part got wet, and my computer was fine, so I let it go. Also, I had already dried my clothes in the washing machine; I just hadn't had a chance to take them out, but when I returned, they were wet. What kind of bizarre operation is that?! The second time, they only emptied the trash and didn't even clean the toilet. I chose this place because the room has a washing machine, and there's a 7-Eleven downstairs. I also saw many fellow countrymen staying here. Korean hotel rooms are small, comparable to those in Hong Kong, but since we only had one suitcase, it was manageable."

"This U H Hotel exceeded my expectations. As a Ctrip Diamond member, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. First off, the location is superb; it's right by a subway station with a direct line to the Myeongdong shopping district. The room amenities were also complete, meeting all my needs. The location is truly excellent. The only minor drawback was that there was some construction noise outside for two days during my trip, but it didn't really affect my experience."

"Absolutely 100/10! Location: fantastic! 2x metro exits right outside the hotel with the others near by!!! It is close to Ikseon-dong.. less than 1 min walk, Insadong - 2-3 mins walk. Myeongdong - easy 30 mins walk! Location really is amazing! Service: customer service is 5 stars! The reception can all speak English and they were soooo helpful! They always say hello in Korean when they see you! And they helped me locate the correct bus stop towards the airport. If they didn’t help, I would have got the wrong bus stop haha. Cleanliness: can’t complain, I thought housekeeping did a great job! Overall: I WILL ALWAYS STAY HERE FROM NOW ON :) ohhh and there’s a bath tub in the bathroom, it was also a really spacious big bathtub! Everything was great! Definitely one of my favourite stays! I wish they had a gym then it would be superperfect!"

"The hotel was about a 10-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station (the back streets are flatter than the main road, so I recommend that route!). It was clean and quiet, so I'd love to stay again. The front desk staff were also very kind and even upgraded my room and allowed for early check-in, as it happened to be available at the time! (This isn't guaranteed, it's all about timing). It was also very helpful that they held my luggage before check-in and after check-out. Thank you!"

"I was very satisfied with the hotel. The room was a bit small but very comfortable, and the amenities were complete and clean. I didn't find the soundproofing to be an issue; it was very quiet. The room had a mini-fridge. There were a lot of Chinese guests, which made me feel like I was back home. There's a pantry area with free instant noodles and coffee, plus an ice maker, so you don't have to worry about going hungry even late at night. They also provide a washing machine. It's very close to the subway station, with lines 2, 4, and 5 making it incredibly convenient to get to all the attractions. Check-in was quick and easy, and check-out was even simpler – just hand in the room card and you're done. There are many convenience stores nearby. I stayed for 3 nights this time and had a fantastic experience. I would definitely choose this place again if needed."

"Loved the hotel. It was great as there were four of us and we could have separate rooms, also spend time together in the living room area. All staff were very polite and helpful. The room was extremely clean and very quiet. There was a washer/dryer with laundry liquid which was a plus. We used it once and items were dried in no time. The only downside was breakfast. Our room included 2 breakfast but only used once as it was really bad. No variety of food, not hot enough and the food really was quite rubbish to be honest. But that doesn't matter because we were happy to get brekkie outside in cafes and bakeries. The hotel itself is perfect though in terms of location, less than 10 min walk to Myeungdong shopping street. Very happy and highly recommended."

"Before choosing a hotel, I always read reviews. Many mentioned the neighborhood was noisy, and that's definitely true, but it's not a fault of the hotel itself. It's just part of the area. However, if you're a first-timer in Seoul and want to hit as many sights as possible in minimal time, this is one of the best neighborhoods. Gyeongbokgung Palace is a 40-minute walk away, and the Han River is just around the corner. The subway station, two minutes away, can take you anywhere. The room is clean and simple. It's thoroughly cleaned before check-in, but there's no cleaning service during your stay. For me, that's a plus rather than a minus; I don't like people entering my room when I'm not there. The room has a TV, a fridge, and a separate shower. But if you're traveling with a friend you don't know very well yet, be prepared to step out of the room when someone is showering. Or you'll become best friends! :) Regarding amenities for daily comfort: 1. There's a communal kitchen with a coffee machine, hot and cold water dispenser, stove, and microwave. 2. There's a washing machine with a drying function: two hours, and no need to find a place to hang wet clothes. 3. There's a garment steamer – instantly boosts comfort by +10,000 points. Reviews also complained about noisy neighbors. I didn't encounter any during my stay: just students, couples with kids, and lovely ahjummas. If someone does seem noisy, earplugs are readily available. At one point, the water was supposed to be shut off for repairs, and the hostel staff brought two bottles of water directly to my room. The hostel owner checks in to see how things are going and engages in small talk with repeat guests. If you're a solo traveler, I definitely recommend it. Yes, it's a 'walking' neighborhood, but throughout my entire stay, I never once felt unsafe. Special thanks for the umbrella sharing! 🤍"

"It was our first trip to Seoul with the kids, and we had a great rest at this wonderful accommodation. Our schedule for the day was packed and tiring, but we rested well at the place. Our summer clothes were soaked in sweat, but thanks to the washing machine, we were able to bring them back safely without any lingering smells. All the facilities were well-equipped, and we experienced no inconvenience using them. We couldn't find any laundry detergent, so we bought some ourselves and left it behind. It would be great if you could leave some out for us to use. If you are using public transportation, it is closest to get off at Seoul Venture Town Station on the subway. I think it would be great for families traveling to Seoul. You can cook your own meals, and the large refrigerator is a plus. It was a wonderful trip. Thanks to you, we were able to handle the next day's schedule and return home safely. Thank you. Oh, the photos are exactly as the owner posted them, so I just uploaded a shot of the front entrance. It is impeccably clean."

"The location is absolutely fantastic. If you're planning on night shopping in Dongdaemun, this is the perfect spot. I stayed for three nights this time, and because I wasn't sure about the hotel's system, I waited to see what would happen. Turns out, they don't replace towels unless you specifically ask the front desk. So, I ended up using the same towels for the first two nights. By the third night, I couldn't take it anymore and asked the guy at the front desk, who cheerfully provided new ones. Usually, when you stay multiple nights at a hotel, they clean the room, empty the trash, and change towels while you're out. But they don't do any of that here. I wonder if I was supposed to take my own trash to the bins by the elevator? Also, on the second day, I thought I'd accidentally left the AC on when I went out, but when I returned, it was off... I wonder if staff entered my room? If so, why wouldn't they empty the overflowing trash or clean the floor? I had a lot of questions during my stay. Perhaps the food containers in the trash attracted something? I was really surprised when a cockroach crawled out from the gap between the beds. As others have mentioned, the drain in the shower room also has a terrible smell. The interior is nice because it's newly renovated. And if you turn on the ventilation at night, the shower floor is dry by morning. The location is excellent, so I'd like to stay again, but for extended stays, it would be really helpful to know the rules regarding towel changes, trash disposal, and floor cleaning (especially hair, etc.)."

"You really can't beat this location—being within walking distance of both City Hall and Euljiro 1-ga stations made getting around Seoul effortless. I was also really impressed by how attentive the management is; they clearly act on guest feedback to make continuous improvements, like keeping the common areas completely trash-free. The showers had strong water pressure and hot water ready instantly, which was so refreshing. A great choice for travelers!"
