"We were attending a conference in Shanghai and, since it was the weekend, we decided to visit Moganshan. Although it wasn't peak tourist season, the charm of the mountains and countryside still captivated us. After some research, we booked FUFU Guesthouse in Houwu Village. I originally booked a wabi-sabi style king room, but since the guesthouse had other room types available that day, the owner generously upgraded us to a deluxe king room with a 270-degree mountain view. Opening the door, the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows were like a giant painting, showcasing the beauty of Houwu Village without reservation. The distant, layered mountains and the charmingly scattered farmhouses created a tranquil and peaceful rural scene. The room's amenities were surprisingly comprehensive. The underfloor heating made the entire room warm and cozy, even when it was chilly outside. The projector added a lot of enjoyment to the evenings; snuggling in the soft bed and watching our favorite movies felt like being in our own private cinema. The service at this guesthouse was top-notch. Before check-in, the owner thoughtfully sent us helpful tips, providing detailed directions and check-in instructions, ensuring a smooth check-in process upon arrival. The owners were incredibly hospitable, treating us like long-lost friends, making us instantly feel at home. The owner's wife was especially considerate, preparing welcome fruit and coffee vouchers for every guest. The guesthouse's breakfast was also quite good; you could order your favorite noodles or desserts. Unfortunately, we overslept and missed breakfast time. Unexpectedly, upon check-out, the owner's wife packed us corn, eggs, and dried bamboo shoots. Holding this warm breakfast, I was deeply touched; this thoughtful care made our trip to Moganshan even more unforgettable. A fantastic mountain retreat experience, excellent value and a warm, welcoming atmosphere—highly recommended!"

"Overall, it was a pretty good stay, even though the sun these past few days was so intense it felt like I was melting, making it hard to fully enjoy the 'secret realm.' Still, the general experience was pleasant. Every staff member was enthusiastic, from the butler to the front desk ladies, and the young men and women driving the shuttle. Each one made this tired worker bee see passion in their work! The slide room we booked was a huge hit with the kids; they were absolutely thrilled and went down the slide dozens of times. The pool is also great for children, but it was too sunny during the day, so we could only play in the water at night. One suggestion: it would be good to have some Western breakfast options. For those who don't like noodles and buns, mornings were a bit cheerless. For the room, I'd recommend adding a step stool. My child isn't tall enough, so washing hands was a bit difficult. Also, it would be great to have a drying rack on the balcony. After all, when you've been in the water, you need somewhere to hang clothes to dry."
