Hotel Nikko Nara ★★★★★
"Very close to NARA JR, nice and clean with good amenities but my automatic washer in toilet is broken. Hotel staff was friendly but not fluent in English. Good for business and travel in Nara. p.s. my friend who reserve room+breakfast said the morning buffet is good in both Japanese and Western style, might try on next visit"
Ryokan Asukasou at the Entrancne of Nara Park ★★★★
"Hotel was about 2 mins walk from the entrance of Nara park n the shopping district. Very good location. You could either walk 1.3km to the hotel from the JR station, or take a taxi which would cost around 1200yen. About 10 mins walk from the metro station. I stayed for 2 nights with breakfast and dinner inclusive. The Ryokan did take note n served us a different menu each day. There was also a small indoor n outdoor onsen in the Ryokan. The food was superb."
Onyado Nono Nara Natural Hot Spring ★★★★
"I liked the friendliness and professionalism of the staff! I find them very helpful and kind! I like the onsen, massage chair, ice cream and breakfast. I lived in the room facing the train tracks. The sound proof windows do a good job blocking the sound. The entrance is separated by 2 doors, so I didn’t hear much from the hallway. Very private."
Tenpyo Ryokan ★★★
"It's very well located; as soon as you step outside the hotel, you'll find an amazing ramen restaurant. If you want the experience of sleeping on a futon and bathing in public hot springs, this is the place for you. There are also private baths in your room if you don't want to use the public baths."
Toyoko Inn Kintetsu Nara Ekimae ★★★
"Unfortunately, I didn't realize I'd booked a smoking room, and there was a faint smell of smoke. However, the cleanliness was absolutely superb, and the room itself was spotless. The location is fantastic: it's directly opposite Kintetsu Nara Station, and Nara Park is just a 10-minute walk away. On the first floor, there are convenient vending machines and coin-operated washer/dryers. The breakfast was also quite delicious."
Piazza Hotel Nara ★★★★
"The hotel is very good and convenient. The room is very nice and clean."
Iroha Grand Hotel Kintetsu Nara Ekimae ★★★★
"This was my second time visiting Nara, and this time I traveled completely independently. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. Coming from Kyoto on the Kintetsu Nara Line, you just walk straight down a bustling shopping and food street from the subway station, and the hotel is right at the end. It has a resort-style feel. There's no hot water dispenser in the room, so if you want hot water, you have to go downstairs, which is a bit inconvenient. I ended up bringing my own water every day. Bus route number 2 stops right outside and is a loop line, making it easy to get to all the attractions whenever you want."
HOSHINOYA Nara Prison
Miroku Nara by the Share Hotels ★★★
"This is the most stupid hotel I have ever been to. I had my breakfast here and that’s food to make sure. And for lunch I decided to eat some sandwiches at the canteen. That’s also food with no smell. When I was just about to order some drinks, a staff came to me and said ‘food is not allowed here.’ Then where else can I eat this??? And he said downstairs in b1. I was totally shocked by his logic which was zero logic. Breakfast = food and outer food = food as well, like it’s just a sandwich with no smell. Is it not a hotel that guests are even not allowed to eat their food in the sun with fresh air?? Any food not provided by them are not allowed and there was no other space to sit in the lobby. This is as funny as ****. They are even more stupid than robots that they make up rules with no logic and they will follow them without thinking till die. 很糟糕的一次经历:首先位置比较偏,房间窗帘不够隔亮;其次大堂未消费者不允许使用,即使点了他们的咖啡也不能吃外带的汉堡,不可思议;最后早餐分日式和西式,我要求日式,她们说已经售完,但是后面的几位美国客人点日式就有了,赤裸裸的美国舔狗?总之是要被拉黑的一家酒店"
Choose the Perfect Nara City Stay for Your Travel Needs
JW Marriott Hotel Nara
"When you first walk in the smell of relaxation hits you. I'm not sure what fragrance it was but absolutely loved it. We enjoyed everything about this hotel from location, food and room accommodations."
Shisui, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nara
"A fantastic gem which we we enjoyed every minute we stayed there. The choice of having a private onsen in our room was worth every penny of the premium we paid. I had my onsen dip three times a day and had never felt more relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel compound is so beautiful and all the staff were so accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel who like spend a relaxing time in Nara."
Nara Hotel
"The hotel has a very historical feel. We booked the cheapest room in the main building. The room is not big and can't accommodate suitcases. The breakfast is interesting and the visual selection is better than the taste. The service is OK, but early check-in is not possible."
Nara Kasuga KANOYA
"This has been one of the best if not THE best experience I have ever had in a Japanese hotel. We stayed in Nara for 2 days. The hotel has only a few rooms and quietly located within walking distance of the Kasuga Taisha. The room we had faces the forest on one side and a beautiful path on the other, and it was super large. It might not be as noticeable as others near the train station, but it’s a must try if you plan to stay in Nara for an extended period, which in its own rightis definitely worth it."
Nara Park Hotel
"The receptionist was very welcoming and provided excellent service."
Ando Hotel Nara Wakakusayama -Dlight Life & Hotels-
"The scenery and view are unparalleled, the hotel service is very friendly, and there are group activities in the evening to take you to the top of the mountain to watch the night view. The only drawback is that the cherry blossoms bloomed late this year, which wasted my careful selection of hotels for so long."
Hana Naramachi
Hotel New Wakasa
"The hotel is wonderful! Very clean, a hot onsen right in the room on the balcony, goodie bags, a very beautiful entrance hall, a beautiful view from the rooftop. I didn't like the traditional Japanese breakfast—there just wasn't enough for my taste. A European breakfast is better."
Hotel Asyl Nara
"The room was absolutely great. In Japanese style, futons, tatami, exactly the one we wanted to try. Staff friendly, helpfull and kind. The only thing we dislike was the smell of fried oil in the hotel corridors. Luckily it did not smell in the room."
Kamenoi Hotel Nara
"The hotel staff are very professional and they can meet my needs. There are surprises for breakfast and dinner, add a little money and you can have all-you-can-eat long-legged crabs. Room cleanliness is good."
Hotel Asyl Nara Annex
"An older hotel but very well maintained and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room size was decent. Free parking is definitely a bonus. Breakfast was included and the food was amazing. The staff were lovely and welcoming and they even provide free beverages from 3pm onwards which is a nice touch. Overall the price is reasonable for what you get. Location is not far if you are driving to the tourist attraction."
Super Hotel Premier Jr Nara Eki
"The hotel room was quite spacious, and the location was very convenient, right next to Nara Station. Despite that, the window insulation was excellent, and I barely heard any train noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful."
Novotel Nara
"Absolutely loved this hotel! I wish I could have stayed a couple more days, but Nara is quite small with not much else to do. The value for money is incredible, it's very new, and the location is great too. This is definitely the top choice for anyone visiting Nara!"
AB Hotel Nara
"Very close to the train station. They had a Japanese style Onsen for men and ladies. Also, the room included a decent breakfast. It was a comfortable stay."
Centurion Hotel Classic Nara Station
"Hygiene is a major concern; otherwise, everything else is fine."
