📍 Takama-cho 46-1, Nara City

📍 Omiyacho 1-1-6, Nara City

"This was one of the low key place where it is located after crossing Nara train station. Convenient. Staff was welcoming, allow to leave luggage before check in time. The whole hotel has tatami flooring, you need to go to locker leave your shoes in there, throughout the stay. In the room they gave you a bag, socks to wear around hotel and towels to use in public onsen. It was a great experience and dipping in hot pool after long day walk. Most families guests, and they allow older kids accompanied with parent of same gender. But those parent don't know how to control kids should respect the other guests. I have kid myself and try to be respectful. Since after onsen they wan to give cooling down so they have free flow ice cream afternoon to night. And probiotic drink morning. They have a massage chair and if it is peak season proly all these will be in queue. But I went on weekday and end of May so it was quite nice. Not too busy. I didnt pick hotel breakfast as I always wake up late lol. Oh and supper 9pm or 930pm onward they provide ramen and it was real nice after a long day and after onsen, hearty hot ramen soup and green tea to end the night. The experience they provide part of the stay is really fantastic!"

Smile Hotel Nara ★★★

📍 4-21 Sanjohonmachi, Nara City

"The hotel's location is fantastic, less than a five-minute walk from JR Nara. The higher floor rooms are comfortable, and they even display recommendations for good restaurants nearby in the lobby. This time, I revisited a restaurant I'd been to before and had the soba noodles – still amazing and delicious! The next day, I went to Japan's largest Muji store, which was great!"

Restaurants, shops, and buses are just outside, and major sights like Nara Park are within walking distance. Staffs are friendly too!"

📍 30-1 Konishicho, Nara City

"I went to Japan for 6 days and this was the best hotel I had stayed. It was clean, comfy and the bathtub was big too. It was just a stone throw to the attractions. The price for a night was very very cheap."

📍 Omiya Cho, 7 Chome-1-45 Omiyacho, Nara City

"Absolutely loved this hotel! I wish I could have stayed a couple more days, but Nara is quite small with not much else to do. The value for money is incredible, it's very new, and the location is great too. This is definitely the top choice for anyone visiting Nara!"

📍 28-1, Higashiterabayashi-cho, Nara City

"Charming hotel very close to the park. You get 40 minutes to enjoy the onsen privately. Highly recommended; they have technology for simultaneous translation. So far, it's the best place we've slept. You can also visit the Visitor Center for free activities like origami or writing."

📍 1-1 Taruichō, Nara City

"There's a coin-operated washer-dryer on B1, and a clean, relaxing public bathroom. The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, just across the shopping street. You can walk to Nara Park and other places to feed the deer. One of the downsides of Japanese hotels is that check-in is usually after 3 PM; if you arrive early, you'll have to store your luggage."

"My experience at the Nara Hotel during this trip to Nara was excellent, especially the incredibly kind Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk. We only asked for six bottles of water, but they gave us eight. They even provided us with a homemade tourist map. The room was also very spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance. The only downsides are that it's a bit of a walk from Shin-Omiya Station, and the shuttle bus only runs until around 5 PM. This is less convenient for travelers returning to the hotel at night."

"A hotel full of history, let's talk about the difference between the main building and the new building. The main building (Figure 2) has a history of more than 100 years. We thought the facilities in the new building were newer, so we booked the new building (the building on the left in Figure 3), which is actually 40 years old. The rooms in the main building are small, but the view is better, and it is halfway up the mountain. The new building is at the bottom of the hill, and the fourth floor of the new building is the first floor of the main building, so although we are on the third floor, we can only see the woods, where the deer live 😝 Friends who want to see the scenery should book the main building."

"The moment I stepped into the room, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and clean it was. I also requested birthday decorations and a cake, and all my wishes were fulfilled. Thanks to the staff's incredible service, which exceeded my expectations, I had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. A big thank you to the gentleman who helped us so much, including taking photos. Thanks to your cooperation, we had a wonderful trip! Thank you very much."

Nara Park Hotel Hotels in Nara City

Nara Park Hotel

"The hotel in general is a reasonably priced hot spring inn, with good customer service and spacious rooms, but a little old. There were many small children, and it was fully booked, even though it was not a weekend. We had the 1,300-year-old gourmet cuisine "Tenpyo no Utage," which claims to be the only one of its kind in Japan. The cuisine was created with the support of archaeologists and culinary experts over five years, based on wooden tablets, pottery, and documents excavated from Heijo Palace. Including the 20 years since then, it has a tradition of 35 years. Each dish was explained to us. It was very delicious, and almost all the dishes were Michelin one-star level. However, some dishes left a disappointing impression. The daigo, a cheese-like dish made by boiling down milk, was overcooked and was dry and hard. It was much browner than the sample. The wild boar meat was too hard and had lost too much moisture. The dried figs had lost too much moisture. The other dishes, as you would expect from imperial court cuisine, were just the right firmness and very delicious. I was put off by the fact that the only drink available was white sake (shiroki: cloudy sake), even though it was apparently all-you-can-drink. The tea (not sure what kind of tea it was) that came towards the end was not tasty either, but it was easier to drink than white sake, so I wish it had been brought out sooner. Imperial court cuisine, whether Okinawan, Korean, Chinese, or French, is indescribably delicious. I would definitely recommend trying ancient Japanese imperial court cuisine. You can enjoy the ancient imperial court cuisine alone, even without staying overnight. The Tenpyo Banquet is the pinnacle of this hotel!!!"

Iroha Grand Hotel Kintetsu Nara Ekimae ★★★★
"The location is fantastic, super close to Kintetsu Nara Station. The hotel itself is surprisingly quiet despite being in a lively area. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, making it super convenient for dinner. Nara Park is just a short, pleasant walk away, so you won't get tired. All disposable amenities are available for pick-up on the first floor, and you can fill up your water bottle there as many times as you like."

"Overall, my stay was quite good. The hotel has a new and modern exterior design, and facilities like the gym are very clean. The room itself was tidy and clean, the bed was comfortable, and all the amenities were well-equipped. The location is convenient, with shops and restaurants nearby, and getting around was very easy. The staff were friendly, and the check-in process was smooth. It would be even better if the price were more favorable. I would consider staying here again if I have the chance."

"I checked Google Maps beforehand, but it was quite far from the station. Still, once you arrive, it's right next to a park, making it a great place for a walk. There's also a market along the way, so there's plenty to see."

"Although it is a bit of a distance from Nara Station, it is actually close to the deer park, making it a great hotel where you can return to your room to rest whenever you want after watching the deer. The facilities are, of course, tidy, and the hotel service is very friendly. It has a unique layout with a Starbucks inside the hotel, and the night view is truly stunning. During the day, you can go up to the second-floor terrace to relax, and with the Hoenn Pond nearby, it is also a great place to enjoy a leisurely atmosphere. There is a gallery inside the lobby that displays handicrafts, making it fun to browse. It is a truly satisfying hotel, and I would definitely visit again."
